GPS is ground based old military technology. You have plenty of ground based towers for your "GPS" system. There are no such thing as "gps satellites". In fact satellites are science fiction fairy tale, they do not exist in real life on earth. Also all internet come through undersea cables. I have thought of doing this with the Foreign Currency Exchange (Forex). Of course, Forex isn't flat earth, so it would have to be a little different. Here's what I would do.

The Internet gaming business is a $billion and a half a year industry. I was thinking of attaching Forex signals to online games - perhaps I would even design the games - and let the players face off according to the Forex signals. They wouldn't know their game was hooked to the Forex, of course. But when they played the online game, the winner would, also, be winning in the Forex for me.

I would make money both ways. I would make it off game sales. And I would make it off the Forex that they would win for me.

Now, here you flat earth leader people are, doing a similar thing with flat earth. Only you aren't doing anything as complex as hooking into the Forex. Rather, you are letting us forum "posters" write the guts of your science fiction story for you.

Why is no Dish ever pointing straight up?
How do Satellite Dish manufacturers know I will not move to a place which is straight below a Satellite and build in drainage holes. A dish full of water or dust wont work. 50 years without service, maintenance, upgrade or failure of a high tech equipment, yeh sure. At least your Santa Claus is coming soon.

I did some quick reading and learnt that the furthest the two astronauts went on that last rover was ~5 miles (one way). That blows my mind. Total distance traversed was over 20 miles. I guess that it'll make it an icon, hence NASA saying that no rover can come within a few hundred feet of Stanley Kubrick's garage.
