That's why it is called sky-tv. Here is your plane earth simplified: I have thought of doing this with the Foreign Currency Exchange (Forex). Of course, Forex isn't flat earth, so it would have to be a little different. Here's what I would do. The Internet gaming business is a $billion and a half a year industry. I was thinking of attaching Forex signals to online games - perhaps I would even design the games - and let the players face off according to the Forex signals. They wouldn't know their game was hooked to the Forex, of course. But when they played the online game, the winner would, also, be winning in the Forex for me. I would make money both ways. I would make it off game sales. And I would make it off the Forex that they would win for me. Now, here you flat earth leader people are, doing a similar thing with flat earth. Only you aren't doing anything as complex as hooking into the Forex. Rather, you are letting us forum "posters" write the guts of your science fiction story for you. You simply set the flat earth pattern. Then you let us come up with whatever we want, and you use it to make your flat earth science fiction story. How ingenious, kinda.

"Satellite dishes" are used to receive the signal bouncing off the ionosphere which is transmitted from ground based stations. Why is no Dish ever pointing straight up? How do Satellite Dish manufacturers know I will not move to a place which is straight below a Satellite and build in drainage holes. A dish full of water or dust wont work. 50 years without service, maintenance, upgrade or failure of a high tech equipment, yeh sure. At least your Santa Claus is coming soon. High time to learn something. Here is something to get your head around: In case you unterstand Indonesian here is the 3rd part of a good 3 part series https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AagIQG72tYQ

Anyone who has ever worked in the field of communications would understand that the Earth isn't flat. There are well understood design concerns for building any type of communication infrastructure that clearly take into account the curvature of the Earth and its effects on the proposed design. Things that flat Earthers take for granted every day, like mobile communication tower design and placement. In fact, the communication industry would greatly welcome a flat Earth as it would make data transmission a lot less difficult and costly especially for long range communications. This is a good read to get some idea of the Earths shape and its affect on line of site communications : https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Line-of-sight_propagationThere's even some basic formulas that you can experiment with to find out where the radio horizon would be for particular tower heights.

The Earth is not flat, it is "oblate spheroid" or sphere, you can prove that by going in outerspace to see the whole earth.

Besides, even if the earth WERE flat, there isn't any logical science around that proves it. You'd simply be out of luck.

<> I did some quick reading and learnt that the furthest the two astronauts went on that last rover was ~5 miles (one way). That blows my mind. Total distance traversed was over 20 miles. I guess that it'll make it an icon, hence NASA saying that no rover can come within a few hundred feet of Stanley Kubrick's garage. (aside: I didn't know this: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Spartacus_(film)#Filming) So they went a maximum 5-mile distance, but traveled within that radius 20 miles? What is so difficult about that? I was alluding to how much time they were able to stay outside of the capsule and miles away from safety so to pick up a couple rocks.

Or because there's nothing to reflect or scatter the sunlight as it travels through space but there is within the Earth's atmosphere.

Top notch rebuttal. I mean that actually made me pause and re-evaluate everything around me in this life. For example the true location of the "Hodbird 13E Satellite", is in "Itoko", Democratic Republic of Congo Latitude: 1° 22' 00" N - Longitude: 21° 40' 00" E Nice game, find the true location of a TV Satellite.
