South Africa is building a very strong lead and have already reached a lead of 279 runs,Elgar and JP Duminy scored centuries and it looks like they are going to win this one.
A lot of surprises in this match. Initially, we all thought, Australia is going to win after seeing their first wicket partnership, but suddenly they collapse very badly in the first innings. Now South Africa leading by 388 runs and still four wickets are remaining in this second innings. Hope they may add another 50 to 100 runs to this total and 450+ score will be good total defend in the second innings. It looks SA got now chance to win this match. |

looks like the pitch has turned to be a batting wicket after the first two days,South Africa is having a lead of over 388 runs and they are now at 366 for 6 with centuries from Elgar and Duminy and they will be looking for a lead of above 450 which would be a tough task for Australia and two day left in this test,so got plenty of time to see a result.
They will want to make sure that the target is unsurmountable. I suspect they will bat aggressively for the next session or session and a half, then declare. 400 is a good enough score, 500 will be nearly impossible to chase. |

No I don't think they will declare , they will play until they loose all the wickets because SA can't play day 4 fully , so they will have day 4 ( 30-40 overs) and 1 whole day ( 90 overs ) which I think is more than enough to get all the wickets of Aussies , since Perth is a good pitch to bat on I don't think they will declare . |

Not a very good start for Australia when chasing a big total of 539 runs. Now we will see if the middle order can make some runs just like the South African middle order did. If Smith can make a big hundred and the other batsman are able to stick around and also make some runs then Australia might be in with a slim chance of winning this test match but it's going to be tough. We will get a clearer picture at the end of today's play. |

The time is there, but I am not sure that Aus will chase this target or not. Unnececerly Warner got out for runout. This wicket will give big effect to Aus. And now Aus 128/2. Khawaja and Smith are playing a safe game. I think if SA picks this two-wicket today they have a chance to win this match. |

4th wicket is just down for Australia at 152 runs. There is not much time till the closing of 4th day so we will see next part tomorrow. South Africa after bad start somehow managed to reach that high but Australia just failed in this match. There is a full day with 6 wickets can not be played so in few early hours match will be decided.

Usman Khawaja and Marsh's partnership can make miracles and change the destiny of the match. Khawaja has proved his skilled in past as well. As long as one of these is on the pitch I don't say match is over for Australia. South Africa is also aware of this as the real opposition will be by these two. This is the last recognized pair for Australia. Nobody will give them a chance of wining/saving the test match. If South Africa can get 4 top order batsmen out in a couple of sessions on the fourth day, they will be able to take the wickets of lower order batsmen on the final day. There is no possibility of rain also. |
