He wont be selected in the team in the near future, Pakistan will be selecting a new team for their tour to Australia and they will be playing T20 and Test matches and there is no ODI scheduled for Pakistan this year and more over Ahmed Shehzad and Umar Akmal are not selected for the tour as per the reports and there will be a complete change for the tour to Australia.

Sometimes, drastic decisions are required for the greater good of the team. So many people kept moaning and complaining that Pakistan need to make some drastic changes etc, but are now moaning again now that a big change happened.

Critics like to challenge and question every decision and that is what we are seeing here too  .

Kohli always had in-game chats with Dhoni when Dhoni used to be captain. He also was captain in his IPL team so he probably has good time to test strategies out. Overall I think everything needs time and I think Babar Azam will also be able to a good captain but will certainly need some time.

If you look at the history of Pakistan cricket if they sack a captain because of the teams failure they will not be in the team after that and usually they retire after being sacked, will there be a change this time is yet to be seen because he was also not in good form when the team was struggling.

Quite true, Sarfaraz to be sacked was something that I felt it coming (I guess everyone did). He has a good character but his decisions in WC were questioned by many. He is currently now 32 so I would say he is kinda getting old plus on other hand his recent performance also pushed the Board to make the decision.

Either way change is also a part of the game so lets see how it goes down for Pakistan with new captain and wicketkeeper. It surely won't be easy.

It is hard to understand what goes behind closed doors but as a captain Dhoni was the best and IPL is pure business but it produces some talents in the team, Ashwin started his career in the IPL and so does many others and then became world class players so the contribution of IPL cannot be rejected and many people are coming forward to take cricket as a career because of the opportunities available right now.

Lol. I disagree. MS Dhoni is a legend who is the greatest Indian captain so far with Ganguly trailing behind him at this point. No other Indian captain was able to achieve the historical feats that he achieved especially when the Indian team was under pressure.

Team politics is a part of any sport(Not just Cricket) and every captain favors certain players. CSK was already screwed for 2 years thanks to their administration(Not the players) and they bounced back in a remarkable fashion. Think before posting wild statements about CSK fixing matches etc(I am a fan of SRH btw).

If there is no unity in a team they are not able to perform well and no captain can favor a player who is not having the caliber to perform, match fixing is predominant in sports but i did not understand your statement here, how the actions of an administration let the entire team to be banned, several teams were banned when there was a match fixing scandal in the IPL and CSK was also banned during that time if i am not wrong.

It is true that the team is banned because one of the administrative members were caught placing illegal bets and they got banned for two years on that grounds but other than that nothing is public and none of the players from CSK were banned so not sure what happened. There were many controversial things throughout the history of the tournament and whether the CSK players were involved is still a mystery.

The owner of CSK was placing bets on his own team. And he was betting against the Chennai Super Kings. Anyone with an IQ level of more than 80 would understand what was going on. But they got away with just a slap on the wrist. After two years, they were re-admitted to the IPL. None of the players were even investigated, and the wife of the accused (Rupa Gurunath) was recently elected as the president of the Tamil Nadu Cricket Association (TNCA).

Now compare this to the treatment meted out to S Sreesanth (who was in the camp which was opposed to N Srinivasan). He was banned for life, and the BCCI refused to reconsider the decision even after he was acquitted by the court. On the other hand, Gurunath Meiyappan admitted his guilt and was back in power after two years. Sreesanth always claimed that the conspiracy against him was hatched by the right-hand man of Srinivasan, Dinesh Karthik. Sreesanth was one of the best pace bowlers back then and his career was destroyed. Karthik on the other hand got a huge number of opportunities, although he was completely useless.

I place Sourav Ganguly in a higher regard than any other captain because he started the trend of winning outside India, earlier i remember clearly that when ever India tour outside the subcontinent there is no way that India is able to win but when Sourav Ganguly became the captain he started winning outside and he picked team members from club cricket and Dhoni was picked in the team by Ganguly and he promoted him in the batting order and he made wonders and he stick with Yuraj for a long time even when he was not performing with the bat and he was instrumental in India winning the 2011 world cup and Dhoni continued that legacy and now Kohli and now India is the best team in world cricket and it all started with Ganguly in my opinion.

I still remember those times... But the irony is that Sourav was regarded as "too aggressive" by many of the panelists and former cricketers and several times he was criticized by them for behaving in an aggressive manner. It was understandable, as most of the former Indian captains (Dravid, Azharuddin, Sachin.etc) were mild natured individuals.

He supported a lot of players, including Yuvraj. Also we need to remember that he was made captain at a very difficult time period for Indian cricket, when some of the star players were suspended for match fixing. Sachin Tendulkar had turned down the offer. He had 5 successful years as the team captain. However his differences with Greg Chappell led to the end of his international career.

These threats and blackmails are not going to work. At least when compared to the players from other countries, Bangladeshi cricketers are paid much below the market standards. And I have a feeling that they have targeted the wrong individual this time. Shakib is the backbone of Bangladeshi cricket and without him, the team is completely worthless. Shakib to Bangladesh is what Kohli is to India and Smith is to Australia.

There is still enough time available with the BCB to resolve the issues through dialogue. They should think about the betterment of the game and not give much priority to their personal ego. And from I have heard, the public opinion and mood is with the players and not with the board. Another thing is that, even if they manage to kick the players out or suspend them, the ICC is not going to just sit back and watch.

Cricket boards around the world are facing the prospects of reduced annual funding from the ICC, after the rising administrative expenses forced the central body to cut down on the fund allocation to individual nations. Bangladesh was supposed to receive $118 million during 2016-2023 from the ICC, but I heard that this has been reduced $105 million. On top of that, Sourav Ganguly is teaming up with N Srinivasan to blackmail the ICC once more. If he goes ahead with his plans, then the funding for countries outside the big 3 will take a big hit.
