I didn't buy anything from BFL, so I'm fine. But are you trying to say that people shouldn't sue BFL?

If it makes them feel better then yes, My point is, what will it get you when the system is collapsing.

i.e - There more pressing matters than josh the spunk bubble and his cronies... The global gansters are losing there grip and bitcoin could be a powerful tool. Don't waste your time/effort on scum like BFL...

is i suppose what i'm saying ;-)

I will be putting mine up on a mantal as a reminder of bitcoins not so pleasant history, but will always make me giggle thinking of josh. going have rip that 2012 meeting at bitcoin conference in london. It's even funnier as of 30th sept 2013......

'2 more weeks'.

So many classic quotes

Yes...please do not buy anything from BFL!

I bought a little single back in may.  I'm looking at, if I'm lucky, getting mine by the end of october.  I'm gonna have to run that joker forever to even make my $$$ back.

From a gentlemen on the BFL Forums:

There are some VERY poor design choices on that board:

While a switch to what appears to be a 5-phase regulator per chip is a very good design choice, the choice to use a non-synchronous regulator (you can spot one of these by the need to use a diode(s) in the power path) is very poor.

1/ Synchronous regulators are more efficient than non-synchronous regulators, particularly at low voltages.
2/ Non-synchronous regulators require a diode powerful enough to handle the full current of the output. (That's a BIG diode!)
3/ BFL engineers appear to think they can use lots of smaller diodes in parallel instead of one big diode - that's a big no-no! Google 'diodes in parallel' if you care to know why!

I can't remember the last time I saw a motherboard which had anything other than a multi-phase synchronous regulator for the CPU - and they don't have to deliver as much power as the Monarch does!

#end quote#

So it is very likely we are going down the same path, attach the chips, plug it in, it burns up,
start again. See you in March.

Dejavu all over again.

Butterfly Labs shipped the Jalapeno 10 months after first orders. They're still backlogged 7 months. If you're thinking of buying a BFL Monarch, think again.

They still have 45 days of shipping on each product line,
only moving 3 days per line per day.

Might clear April in 3 more weeks, so the "2 weeks or so" will end up being 5 weeks.

That's pretty good for the Monkey crew considering 2 weeks usually equals 5 months.

What is absolutely staggering to me is we are talking about them clearing April 2013 orders!!! Not getting caught up, when they make this milestone then they will be 6 MONTHS BEHIND STILL!!

Sadly those with order numbers of 40,50,60,000

When the package comes just throw it away, it will be Feb 2014 and you won't mine a single coin.

So sad.

I got my BFL 60Gh/s miner and I'll be stoked to break even (and I ordered mine in early Feb).  Anyone that hasn't received their miner from BFL should just get a refund now of (if you're desperate to stay in the game) upgrade to the Monarch and risk the exact same thing happening.  I hate to say it, but BFL is a scam.  My miner came back with scratches all over and a fan that was broken.   I'm pretty sure those dirtbags mined with it before shipping it (why else would it look used).

Would you rather be shipped a dysfunctional miner, or had them test it before they shipped it? (Assuming the broken fan was from poor shipping)

many people got refunds.  I got a refund of around $6k about 90 days after I ordered by calling American Express which did a charge back to paypal which contacted BFL.  They didn't hear back so Paypal gave me the full refund to my Amex..

I guess it should also work if you pay by credit card.

The scam is the delay, they will send you the unit with the spec you ordered when it is not profitable anymore.

But to be fair, those waiting almost one year got it when it was profitable

What use is a signature?

So by "test it" you mean "use it so much it's broken when you get it?"
