The Bitcoin network protocol was designed to be extremely flexible. It can be used to create timed transactions, escrow transactions, multi-signature transactions, etc. The current features of the client only hint at what will be possible in the future.

I bet this cryptcracker is the one who stole the coins and the guy is scared shitless in a way that has decided to return them into believing that it is a hacker and that has managed to recover the stolen coins, may pass into history as a god or may become the biggest troll history of bitcointalk.

Very good possibility he is just a troll. real question is why cryptsy is engaging with him at all.

What a pitty whoever prepared the pdf doesn't know about using Courier New font to format the PGP properly for readability sake. (and to import the signed messages etc)

That would be the crypto security guru Paul Vernon, going the "state of Florida" reference.

You're Famous!

I don't think they quoted everything you said Smiley

According to Gleb Gamow, a bitcointalk.org user who has been following the Cryptsy debacle since the beginning, Cryptsy’s stolen coins are located in the following location.

"I was out saving Bitcoin when your grandfather was in diapers."

Yep, I'm the one who uncovered the event addresses prior to anybody else so that Paul Vernon could post such on Cryptsy's blog.  Roll Eyes Roll Eyes Roll Eyes

Looks like the only thing this article got right was my nym.  Kiss

Maybe in five years or so, this rag or some other will report that BFL used BitPay as an exchange oppose to ONLY as a third-party payment provider to the tune of converting over U$10M worth of bitcoins to fiat directed to various bank accounts that may or may not be in BFL's [proper] control.

Thanks for the link, TTD.

troll.. guaranteed. and the fact that cryptsy is engaging him, why?
well only 2 possibilities I can think of....
1.cryptofracker (or wtf his name is) has the coins and this is for real,so cryptsy has nothing to lose. coins are gone anyway.....00001% chance this is the case
2. its all complete bullshit and bitcoin thief vern  is just way underestimating the intelligence of the crypto community.   99.999999% chance this is the case (i mighta missed a decimal place)

oh one more thing as i just checked the twatter linc.... Better Call Saul.... AWESOME SHOW!!!  lol

Well, try as hard as I might I can't import the public key nor verify the signed message, so both aren't worth the electrons it took to make them.

Never fear, the con artist Jim Slockney will soon be here to relay to us what Paul Vernon relaid to him about what CrackHead relaid to him about the status of the coins held by Eternal Insolent aka Lorie Ann Nettles (anagram) aka [home]Wrecker. It's referred to at Cryptsy as the Tier of Command.

This whole thing sounds like bullshit to me.

Awesome news!  0.000055 btc was transferred to 1Mr4WJMQCXs9WtvHTwafQnXbtSXCMc9eSr

We all get to divide 2 cents!

I think there'll be a few heroes who chip in a few sats to get their place in history...

Hmmmm

quick look at addy's  on that transaction

one has 50k + in BTC transactions
another has  60k + in BTC transactions

do they belong to an exchange or something ?

1M68XehjYww77DLgwW9rk2zRid8Z8B7uw7 <-- my new BTC addy since Cryptsy took everything

Bitcoin Ransom at cry-spy? Fakest scam ever.

Like we're going to believe ANYTHING Perv Vern has to say anyway.

He is just BUYING TIME, folks.... Sending all that converted fiat offshore and covering his @$$....

If people think there's a chance they'll get any coin back, they won't take action.

Guess what, people?

It's way past time to TAKE ACTION.
