Has anyone actually checked the BTC trail?
Is there a wallet out there that is completely associated with Cryptsy that has huge amounts of BTC and it has NOT been moved out and spread between other wallets?
Basically, is there a Cryptsy wallet out there that has lots of BTC but is sitting idle with no transactions going either in or out? If so, the fundamental question is "why" is no one withdrawing from it?

Thank you for the reply Gleb Gamow. This means that there might be others that have not yet been identified. The question about why these BTC are sitting there doing nothing is an important one. It could be because the wallet holder no longer has access to them. It could also be because the wallet holder is waiting for the value to increase and is in way bothered about the time frame involved. It could be a whole host of other reasons. If any of these coins are stored on online wallets with companies such as Coinbase and alike then surely the onus is on those companies to block ex-Cryptsy staff access to those wallets and provide the authorities with all available data on the people logging in to their online accounts such as IP addresses and email addresses. Is there any hope that any of these coins will ever be recovered? |
