The things are going really interesting lately. Hamilton could even end his career now if he doesn't come to an agreement on his contract extension. Honestly, I would definitely love to see Russell at Mercedes from now on. But I like Hamilton too and it will be great if he gets his 8th championship and has the record alone. We will wait and see what will happen.

Hamilton just wants a too big salary and a 4-years contract and they want to offer him a 2-years contract. I read that it's still ok when Hamilton signs his new contract in the last days before the wintertest at the beginning of March.

I think Hamilton is not stupid at all and he wants that 8th title really bad so in the end he will get whatever offer Mercedes offers him.After he gets his 8th title then he has the luxury to end his career if he wants but before that title it would be stupid of him to not sign with Mercedes.

I am really curious about the look of Aston Martin's car. They are going to reveal the new livery in February. We can clearly understand that the color will be green because of the logo. By the way, I didn't like the pink color much. I hope the new design will be very attracting.

I agree with you. I don't give any chance for L. Hamilton leaving F1 now. He has still a lot to do and I have no doubt that he would like to be the champion one more time before he retires. We still don't know how the contract negotiations will end but he won't end his career now.

I like how classic green Aston Martin design looks. But I read somewhere that pink color will remain on their livery because of their sponsor BWT. So probably there will be some kind of combination with green and pink color, what probably may look a bit strange.

The first GP would be the one in Bahrein so they wouldn't have any problems with logistics and the change of good weather is bigger then in Spain.

I am Italian, I have lived for many years in the areas of Valentino Rossi, we cannot argue about his class, he was a great champion, but like many other champions, he doesn't know when to say enough.
It reminds me a little of Schumacher when he returned to Formula 1 with Mercedes, three bad seasons, almost always beaten by his teammate.
Rossi did a very bad 2020, but he didn't go any better in 2019, his last win seems to me to be in 2017. It makes no sense for a driver who has won all those titles to fight for a 10th place.

Williams announced that they are going to continue using more Mercedes F1 parts. The deal will include Mercedes gearboxes and related-hydraulic components. These two parts were always built in-house until this deal.

I don't remember in the last 30 years a case of a world champion (except those who retired after winning) who has not yet signed a contract for the season in January.
I don't know if everything is planned, maybe he has already signed and they don't want to say it, because even Hamilton has no alternatives, so he can't put too much pressure on Mercedes for a 4-year renewal, it's the only place available for 2021

I think this message doesn't mean anything. As said above, their PR teams are just doing their job. If they wouldn't post such message, then it would be something strange. I think they also post such happy birthday messages for their former drivers like Rosberg.
Personally, I don't believe that Hamilton won't sign new contract, maybe he just want to get more money. And it's not bad thing for news media and F1 - they get some attention when there is not much action.

unfortunately it was a predictable thing, they had to think about it when they created the 2021 calendar, given the huge restrictions that Australia has due to the covid.
Let's just hope it's the only change of the year, I was reading on motorsport that the federation is evaluating 2-3 circuits to use as a wild card in case of calendar problems (and one should be Imola)
