I also a fan of motor sound  , unfortunately, with current politics we will never see that again in motorsport. That was also the reason why I turned Formula 1 a little bit my back and switched to MotoGP. More overtaking maneuvers and not just dependent on the vehicle, you can put Hamilton in a Ferrari and he would't have successes this year, MotoGP doesn't have that because the manufacturers are neck and neck or the concession points take effect.

I guess Verstappen is as good as they come, we can definitely argue that Lewis is better, but I would say Verstappen is probably better than Bottas as well. So, Schumacher should be very very happy that his son will be racing in F1 as well but we are talking about a HUGE gap in talent there. The difference is, Max is probably better than his father, whereas Mick is much worse than his father.

In any case, it would have been so much more awesome if Michael was able to see his kid racing, that would have been a sweet thing, and maybe having his son race on his first race while he is there watching would have been hope for all the world as well. Unfortunately things are probably not that well from his side, there is still no news after this many years, I hope he gets better but doesn't look like it.

Haas has built a great team for next season.
From the disastrous pair of Magnussen and Grosjean we are going to next generation drivers with Mazepin and Schumacher.
I love the way that Mazepin drives and the way he performed in F2. I hope that Haas is going to give them both a decent car and make the competitive in the championship.

Agree about it. Mazepin probably will bring a lot money to the team what is always been problem for Haas. Mazepin's father is really rich guy, heve even tried to buy Force India team, but Lawrence Stroll offered more money back then.
While Shumacher is big prospect, his name will bring much more attention and interest to the team.
Now it's main question whether Haas will be able to build competetive car for next season. I strongly doubt about it.

as hamilton has not yet signed a contract with mercedes for the next few years, Russel's performance this weekend will be important to mercedes to understand if they already have the next champion at home, but changing the team during the current championship is not easy, I remember giancarlo fisichella in 2009, after taking pole position at spa with force india, he moved to ferrari to replace felipe massa and could not take even a point

I was away from forum a bit, some issues, but watched the race and must say that while I was watching the Grosjean crash I thought it was a scene from a movie, he was very very lucky to get out of there alive. He should consider it 9 lives spent if he was a cat.

Also glad that Haas has new drivers, especially for Mick, looking forward to watch him race and develop.

I hope he beats Bottas but he has 0 experience with a Mercedes car so this will be a limiting factor for him.Bottas is driving for Mercedes from a couple of years and has a lot more experience driving this car.I think Russell cannot beat Bottas in this race as if it happens then Bottas position for the 2022 year would be in danger because for 2021 he is already signed.

Grosjean is going to Abu Dhabi right after he got discharged from the hospital. He want to race in Abu Dhabi when he is able to it. He got the most problems with his left hand at the moment.

I really struggle to understand what F1 drivers are like as people. Obviously they're quite fearless, but after going through that crash the idea that he immediately just wants to race again is difficult for me to process. It's hugely impressive that he's able to do that.

I am very excited for George Russell racing in a Mercedes in the last two races. He is already doing very good in both practices. I can't wait to see the qualifying and race. I hope he can take the pole position and win the race. Hamilton hasn't still renewed his contract with Mercedes. If he decides to leave F1 at the end of this season (which I don't give much chance for it), we might see Russell signing a contract with Mercedes next year.

i was seeing the rerun of free practice on sky and they said a really funny news.
someone on monday, before the announcement of russel in mercedes for sunday's race, managed to bet in england on russel winner of the grand prix at 1000, as he was still given as a williams driver

Honestly, I didn't expected that Russel can perform so well  on his first practices on Mercedes car. Very impressive. If he will win qualifying, I don't know how Bottas should feel .
Qualifying should be interesting. Considering that track is very short, interesting how all 20 cars fill in the track. It may be not easy to make good lap time if you will be in the traffic.

I agree.Russell maybe cannot win the race but I think now based on his free practices performance he can win the Pole Position today as this layout is a very short track for F1 at only 54.4 seconds a lap.In the race I hope he wins too but many things can happen in a race and he simply lack the experience to this.
