Is there a new geth version for mist 0.8.1 ? sync from #246200 got insanely slow, like a few blocks/min.

Are we being attacked? Just saw a 300 second block time, and some more 60 second long block times. Difficulty tanked. Gas Limit going up and down?

CPP client is not currently supported (it's  not up to date of ETH branch as well). Fully supported nodes are:

Geth - http://github.com/ethereumproject/go-ethereum/releases/tag/v3.0.1

Parity - http://github.com/ethcore/parity/releases

You need to replace geth executable with http://github.com/ethereumproject/go-ethereum/releases/tag/v3.0.1
