I'm discovering Byteball and I find this new crypto promising ! So much awesome work by one dev, this is indecent  Shocked

One question: what could be the incentives to be an oracle ? As far as I understand, there is no reward for the oracle whose the input is used for a contract.
There's no strictly financial incentive in terms of fees but some businesses will want to run oracle to provide service for the byteball system. Imagine an insurance company that wants to provide flight delay insurance. Instead of relying on somebody else providing this crucial element of their business (oracle) it would want to run it on its own to make sure its business runs seamlessly.

do not pump byteball too high.

i want to wait for next round.

maybe we can see 200000 BTC linked with byteball this round.

Is there any data or deatailed table, that how much BTC was linked in the previous round?

Need some tech assistance here, please Smiley

I was out of town, away from my crypto pc, for a couple weeks and upon returning, I attempted to get my WIN64 full client up to speed, but have run into some roadblocks.

Not knowing there had been any new client releases, I first tried to sync my client on v1.7.1, but it errored out and closed at 60% sync. I then checked for updates and downloaded v1.8.2, but I still have not been able to sync on this latest release. The furthest I've seen it go is about 30%, but on 1.8.2 it just crashes without giving an error of any sort.

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance!

I don't know if it would work but I would try:
1. create a new windows user profile
2. install a light wallet
3. copy app files from the old full wallet installation to a new light wallet folder

Bitcoin is on appreciation and many people will have surely spare Bitcoins in their wallets. So I do agree on the fact that this time much more or even can say record Bitcoins will be linked to distribution. There are many known reasons this time.

3. copy app files from the old full wallet installation to a new light wallet folder

Do these crashes happen systematically?

Light wallet's files and full wallet's files do not have the same structure so I'm afraid 3. won't work.

If you don't have blackbytes, one option (if it keeps crashing) is to try recovering using your seed on another wallet (it could be full or light).

Syncing problems are reported by more and more users. I think it should be looked at by tonych carefully if full wallet is still stable after DAG database rose to a few GB.

Depends on what you price in, change from USD to BTC and it will look much worse. Because BTC rises, most alts $ average won't show a big decrease, but I don't price in $, I price everything in BTC

Kinda weird.....I tried between five and ten times to sync 1.8.2 yesterday and every time it crashed and closed with no error message. Before attempting to delete any files and start fresh today, I went ahead and opened my full client for shits and giggles; it just completed a full sync with no problems. Not sure how to explain this outcome, but it appears I'm good to go Undecided Smiley

EDIT: Four hrs later and still golden Grin!! I'd be curious to know your opinion @tonych
