When is the next distribution?

Scheduled to be first full moon of each month, so I believe that's May 10th or around. But as always things can change so stick around for updates.

Great, received my bytes and blackbytes. Now, although I don't think compund interest is very interesting in most real-life scenarios, with Byteball the 10% interest creates a very nice compound effect for everyone that is holding until the final distribution.
With the impressive and steady development I think BB will slowly sneak into top20 of cryptos with a great chance of staying there.

Yes, I just did, the first time I've seen any malware detected. Weird thing is, I opened it earlier today and no warning.

That's normal, during distro, was the same thing last time, will be reactivated again when ready to link addresses for the next round

I'm running 1.7, current version pretty sure, and have no issues. Any reason not to update to current build?

Important security update 1.5.1 https://github.com/byteball/byteball/releases

It removes a XSS vulnerability that allowed remote code injection via specially constructed chat messages.  Thanks @portabella for discovering the bug.
The update also includes a minor performance improvement.

Upgrade is mandatory.

To protect those who didn't upgrade fast enough, I'll update the default hub to refuse connections from clients that run an old version.

Here's an old post about 1.5, not sure if it helps, but I'd definitely update.

With version 1.7, its still detected as a virus.

I think it is a false positive, this is a big project byteball dev will never intentionally include a harmful virus in any version of the wallet.
