EWBF miner 300 h/s 1080 61 C.... total power 73 %
So what...? With the price a 1080 cost I could get 3-4 rx470 so 600 to 800 sols/s 1070 can do 310 sol with 100watt, or 370 sol with 150watt, that is better than any amd out there, i'm still laughing thinking that there are poeple that believe amd is better... This isn't brain surgery, rocket science, or even algebra. It's simple division... Card Hash Rate Wattage Cost $/Hash R9 Fury 300 H/s 150W $260 $0.86 1070 370 H/s 150W $400 $1.08 Keep paying $1.08 per hash, I will pay $0.86.

But the nVidia is catching up fast. The 370 figure is much better than expected.

Dwarfpool is a good pool, but for zcash a small pool. 18 blocks found in the last 24hours. A small pool could be unlucky and your payouts will be small. What matters in the end is not the statistics on the server, but what you get payed in the end..
In the long run. Actually, Dwarf came too late. 24 hours ago its hash rate was around 1,000,000 and it found ~10 blocks/24h. Now it already is 1,599,004 (1.6 times increase) and 18 blocks/24h. If more people switch, the more blocks will be found per 24h. I'll most likely move my mini-farm to Dwarfpool. Flypool seems either somewhat broken or shady to me. 'bad luck' over long time with 200 blocks/24 hour is either bad code, bad connections or 'something else' If you mine in the Dwarfpool for some time, you will have the same feeling. The displayed hash rate is too high in Dwarf.

It's very interesting how the nvidia 1070 can achieve such high scores while the RX 480 is still sucking at ZCASH because: GTX 1070 Single Precision Processing Power: 5783 (6463) Base/Boost RX 480 Single Precision Processing Power: 5161 (5834) Base/Boost Memory perf is the same. There is a 10% advantage when comparing raw power but in Zcash it's 60%

Some noobs are trying to hijack the tread for the Claymore miner, which is AMD only! Please go find another forum! Btw, you are jelous because you came too late for the ZEC party Actually you will always be, because of the Nvidia stupid politics. You will fool nobody here. You forgot the past month and a half moaning in numerous posts here for a Nvidia miner

I would really love if someone could help me with an annoying issue.
I really dont know if it is the miner causing it, windows, or maybe the GPU...
For some reason, after a couple of hours mining perfectly, one gpu drops its mem clock from whatever stock setting it is to 300, which causes that gpu to mine a 1/5 % of the speed, usually around 47 sols/s (amd 470 4 gb modded). so I am constantly having to reinstall drivers, patch, etc, to get it work normally again, since simple restarts do not solve the problem.
I am using 6x 470 4gb cards, z97 gaming 5 mobo, 8gb ram, windows 8.1
Do you have a screen plugged in (or dummy plug)? If it's the 'out card' it could be a restful state issue that your power management is forcing the card into. HI! yes, i keep a screen plugged in all the time. I always use the same port to connect the pc to the scree, i think its the first 16x port, I think it is also the only one that allows me to enter the BIOS settings. It is because your GPU has too low voltage during some load spikes. You can try until it gets stable: 1) increase GPU voltage in 6 mV increments 2) decrease GPU overclock in 10 MHz increments 3) decrease intensity for this card 1 at a time Or some combination of these

If your electricity price is cheap, it is better to use the R9 Fury. If it is high, then it is better to use the nVidia. They both use 150W, cost of electricity is meaningless in comparison. The only thing you need to look at is $/Hash. The Fury is 20% less $/Hash. 20% is no small number...

Not only that but they say resale value is an issue. If I can buy 1.65 R9s for the cost of 1 1070... I can buy more gpus which when I resell will still net me equal money... Because although the gpu won't be as valuable I am able to buy more of them for my money. Not to mention they ROI faster because they are cheaper.

Thanks a lot for the help! I just tried that, after reinstalling and patching everything, ( I even tried changing the GPUS mod by lowering TDP from 100 to 90 and I think it was even worse) and that didnt solve the problem, I couldnt even finish the NiceHash benchmark test as it crashed after a couple of minutes. Also, I am working with intensity 7 already BTW, I realized it is always the 2nd GPU showed on Afterburner, I swapped every GPU between every PCIE slot, I also tested every card on the 16x port to see if every one of them could send the signal to the screen with no problems so I am guessing it might be MOBOS fault... ( I have every PCIE set to gen 2, 8x 4x 4x, and I also deactivated the audio inboard on the BIOS)

on the other hand amd is done, very small margin few % I'd be happy to chat again when/if NVidia gets more optimization. I am a fan of cold hard numbers, not brands. The simple fact is that since the ZEC launch AMD has been, and still is, the better card. You can speculate all you want on what the future holds, but I would suggest you wait until it actually happens to start your victory lap.

You have not specified the right price Fury graphics cards. In the same shop in Germany graphics cards have the following price and price / performance is as follows: Card hash rate power cost $/Hash R9 Fury (Sapphire Radeon Nitro R9 Fury Tri-X OC+ ) 300 H/s 150W 346 Euro 1.153 Euro 1070 (Manli GeForce GTX1070 Ultimate) 370 H/s 150W 419 Euro 1.13243 Euro 1070 (ZOTAC GeForce GTX1070 Mini) 370 H/s 150W 443 Euro 1.197 Euro 1070 (Gigabyte GeForce GTX1070 Windforce OC ) 370 H/s 150W 459 Euro 1.24 Euro However, not all nVIDIA 1070 to hashed 370 Sol / s. Miner doesn't work correctly with dwarf zec pool. Seems it's struggling with dev fee. A lot of reject from time to time and devfee connect fails.
