Anyone have confirmation of Saturns being shipped or is it all Jupiters for now?
I packaged more than one Saturn for sure, and yes it's respect of queue order. Also, no rest for the wicked. A load of hosting should be coming online tonight. Which means I get to leave here, and get at least somewhat closer to my clothing that' been holidaying the last few days. At least I'll have a choice of clean stuff to wear...at somepoint. I am certainly going to send some btc to your tip jar when my stuff comes online, because your updates and packing skills certainly deserve some luv from the community. Thank you!

Well, I am just now leaving Stockholm without my pickup and frankly angry at how mis-informed I was the whole time I was here. I could have changed the flight out or changed to a delivery but what I kept getting was "you will get your unit today or tomorrow". One truck left the factory already. Without my day1 1-500 Jun3 unit because I was never given the choice of sending it there even though they new perfectly I was leaving today!(Congrats to the lucky bastards whose units are in the truck). Regarding your questions and because I know how hard it is to get information to organise your lives: I was also told many different things about pick up. Latest I got was that day 1's pick ups will be available today evening at their new shinny Östermalm address but, frankly, I have learned along this week to trust nothing coming from the central office. I understand everything was tight and hard at the factory but there really is no point giving false information to clients. Especially if they flew all the way to Stockholm for a pick up. That is just unnecessary! That does suck - they seem to have done everything about 99% right. 2-3 days earlier in the schedule they'd probably have been better with the communication and maybe winning the bitbet. Did you meet with KNC? Only the support staff in the office (there's quite a few). They absolutely did not want me anywhere near the factory (I could have driven and picked the bloody thing up and even offered help as a taxi/courier for more than a day) fearing I would give out it's location to you evil bastards .

Miner protection offered by KnC would be a huge plus.
So today I'm thinking about the possibility of my Mercury getting fried from lightening. I recall a Presario that was destroyed by lightening. The RJ-45 was molten copper at the motherboard. The power in jack was blackened. The power brick was dead. Here in the US a home will usually have two phases of 120VAC relative to neutral and neutral is tied to ground in the service and then ground to a ground-rod driven into the ground properly at the service and the service has only those two phases coming in from the electric utility. Perhaps the power company asked the cable company to pay a fee for connecting to their ground, was refused and got cut. So, the jolt of lightening came in via the cable, thru the cable modem to the RJ-45 ethernet connection, out the power-in jack thru the power brick trying to get to neutral in the 120VAC outlet which is tied to ground in the service. If the computer was using Wifi it wouldn't have fried. They should call it WhyFry. So, I was thinking about my Mercury. Since it has an operating system I'd need do something like take a laptop and configure its RJ-45 as the downlink of a router and the laptop's wifi as the uplink. My very first router was an older system with multiple ethernet cards running either Slink or Potato. That I recall was not for me an easy thing to do. I wonder if it's any easier with Wheezy. I'd probably take a communication penalty in metrics. Think I'll try cable box -> 802.11 linksys wireless router -> (wireless) -> bridge -> my regular network routing. I'll simply be unplugging my regular network routing uplink RJ-45 from the 802.11 and putting the bridge in place of the uplink cable, the uplink cable then going the bridge. My entire regular network will then not be wired to the cable box. This instead of wifi on each of the miners. No threat of molten RJ45 copper and lesser fried power in on boards.

I could really use some help with my PSU setup. I got 2 X Enermax Maxrevo 1500W to power 1 Jupiter and 2 Saturns. Here is the distribution of the virtual rails: I plan on connecting my Jupiter with 4 cables (each cable has 2 X 6+2 PCIE connectors, but going to use just one connector for each cable) using 12v3 (upper left), 12v4 (upper middle), 12v5 (lower middle) and 12v6 (upper right). Is this correct? I have no experience working with PSU's... I've also found this piece of info which doesn't make much sense to me: "The 12V1 rail should ideally power at least half of the peripheral/SATA sockets and not only the 24pin ATX connector. The 12V2, which feeds the first EPS connector, could also feed the other peripheral/SATA sockets. You should, in case you need the second EPS/ATX12V connector, connect its cable either to the middle top socket or to the top right socket that are fed by the 12V4 and 12V6 respectively. These rails provide power to a single 12pin socket and to the peripheral sockets, so don't mix any PCIe connectors with this EPS, something that could lead to OCP activation." Also, since I plan on upgrading the 2 Saturns to Jupiters, the 2 PSU's should provide enough power for 3 Jupiters. But how would I connect them?

Orama - Should the folks that received tracking information today expect to have the devices shipped today?
No way if international. Assuming you are in Europe (zone 3 shipping) that would be next day. Other places can be later.

I asked if they would be shipped today (not arrive today) So, because I got an e-mail from UPS, does that mean its going to be on a truck in the next hour or two? That would be sweet.

Yes, if you received tracking your boxes will be probably be on a truck very soon, and when they get to the UPS warehouse the label will be scanned, and on the tracking follow-up website you will se an update and a more precise expected delivery date (for experience I warn you that it might say "expected delivery oct. 3" now, but then change to a day later when the label is scanned in their warehouse).

It doesn't look like they will ship this week at all. AFAIK they are still working on debugging (+25% hardware error, right?), webinterface, etc. - as soon as they have gone through these processes they should implement everything on hundreds (if not thousands) of machines, pack them up, etc. People in here daydream and think that you can take the very first version of a bleeding edge piece of hardware directly from the production line, pack it up and send it up to thousands of customers in just one day, without any kind of testing/debugging. Wishful thinking and day dreaming all over this forum...
Tracking received.
LOL! This steady negativity is just SOOOO pathetic.... To me, it not so pathetic as it is amusing. People are so used to being able to post any FUD-ish opinion, and have it unchallenged except with an anti-FUD, Pollyanna opinion, simply because they can make non-falsifiable statements. Here, someone says "its all a lie; there are no chips; they're using the same movie set used to fake the moon landing," and then a 30-sec video of the chip taken from a stack of flats of chips is posted. Or, as in your post, a guy asserts there will be no shipping this week, and 90 minutes later posts his tracking number. In subtle ways, this will change the mood and view of those around bitcoin hardware. Unfortunately, it's also really going to change the network hash rate.

The refinements you will hear about later took place throughout the night last night. I'm a sweaty greace ball now, some of these guys look like Johan did after travelling to Korea and back for a couple of hours on the ground to hand carry, as well, and in case DHL's hand carrier came unstuck the other day. Both got here at the same time. Well DHL half and hour ahead, but Johan came back via Turkey to shave off two hours from a direct flight straight from Korea. That's how tight this has been.
Holy crap, Johan flew all the way to Korea to do a pickup?? HEROIC EFFORT! KNC are showing how it should be done *properly* by having these kind of contingencies (and hero's) in place. I do like companies who forward-plan, have back-up plans and run a "no excuses" ship. It's a hard and intense way to work, but it leads to amazing results. Well done guys.

My understanding is that it is functioning. The military was funded by special bill; one can check, but it's possible or even likely that Homeland Security was funded thusly as well.
