Why do you need pictures even knc do not bother show new type, because there will be no more 28nm units Sad

Because I'm curious. And I want to see the new PCB design and the new Ericsson VRMs.

Another basic calculation:

Waiting for the rest of the jupiters.
DON'T BUY LOWER THAN 1000 WATT PSU

With 855W at the wall a single V850 would be perfectly capable of running a November Jupiter.

I will be powering 3 October and 2 November Jupiter with 2x V850 and 2x EVGA 1300W.

No, the PSU will not have a Mean Time Before Failures of +100000 hours anymore,
but will have a MTBF of less than 1000 hours.
A hard lesson learn from block erupters.
I will stay below 80% of max rating of PSU.

November Jupiters arrived today in the UK; orders in the 87## range.

One has a bad module, if it's connected the PSU trips out on a 1300 Watt EVGA supernova. If I connect it on it's own same happens, if I connect the other three modules they all work fine.

So bad module I guess, I've emailed support. Obviously this is not good as it'll have an effect on ROI.

One of the units is mine and the other my business partners so a bit awkward :-S

i had the same issue with one october jupiter until fw0.95 solved the problem.

WARNING it's reported that none of the old firmware works with the new Nov miners. You could brick the device using anything but the supplied firmware.

Yes, I was there... lost almost a day of mining :/

But, there is a way to fix it, since even after flashing it keeps the needed files:
- login to your Jupiter by ssh
mount -t vfat /dev/mmcblk0p1 /mnt/1
mount -t vfat /dev/mmcblk0p2 /mnt/2
cp /mnt/2/initramfs.bin /mnt/1/initramfs.bin
shutdown -r now
- after it comes back up, if it still doesn't work, do an hard reset and power off/on and then it should finally work

Why would you assume that?
Good quality PSU are designed with components in excess of the advertised wattage.
If you ask Cooler Master or Corsair they will confirm that.

Back in 2011 I have mined with HX850 for 4 months with 850W at the wall and then sold it to a fellow miner, who has been mining with it for a long time.

Neptunes can live through 1-2 extra billion and still be profitable at the current exchange rate Wink

CYPER is perfectly right, no realistic projection using planned shipping from the different ASIC miner company can make your neptune non profitable, even if they all deliver in time in big quantities (unlikely TBH).
On another note, LTC's Hashrate increased by 10% in less than 24H. BTC will be more profitable in a few weeks (maybe even days) Smiley It only needs a much bigger initial investment.

I reckon thats just for flashing the beaglebone back to the stock firmware that it comes with, I don't think the modules can be flashed, they are controlled by the software in the beaglebone. I could be wrong however, maybe its worthwhile to check out the IRC channel and see if you can get some help from one of the engineers.
