That's a pretty odd use of the term 'per capita'. Which, of course, is defined as 'per each person'. How can we have 3.54 Americans killed for every American that visits Pakistan?

Per x100,000 capita. It never ceases to amaze me how your troll senses are so keened on picking up any minute issue with the BTC, yet would fail to notice something obvious like SV scam even if CSW came in riding in on a tank which is positioned on the aircraft carrier with the word SCAM written on a side

Each block is stacked on top of the previous one. Adding another block to the top makes all lower blocks more difficult to remove: there is more "weight" above each block. A transaction in a block 6 blocks deep (6 confirmations) will be very difficult to remove.

I'm sure everybody in this thread has seen people struggle with even dumber shit. For some reason some people either don't have the right mindset to identify solutions to problems by themselves or they are inherently incapable of doing so.

However, you can certainly teach those people how to use a photocopier or a fax and basic programming is no more difficult while also in high demand.

People who drink bleach as an elixir have already solved all their problems. The remainder can use the internet, which is what I did. I have spent years scavenging the internet for dozens upon dozens of different paths. There's no wizardry going on here, literally pick a bunch of acceptable categories and a bunch of desirable ones then go from there.

You can't tell me that people are too stupid to Google "What jobs Y that involve X are there and what are the salaries?" and then follow up with "What paths to Y are there?". And I also don't believe that people who immediately fold are inherently incapable of following instructions until they commit them to memory.

Could perhaps we be taking for granted the privileged inner workings of our own minds, effortless as they are, and generously applying them to others where they do not exist?

In any case, I'm more than happy for them to continue doing what they're doing. More pie for the rest of us.

No, it's not good nor happy. If they really HAD to improve to survive, most of them would probably be able to do it. If you let them an easy path, many people will take it even if it is not the best long term for them. We are creating a dumb society where noone have to give the best of them to survive. So they don't do it.

A Nuclear power plant would be advantageous for many reasons.

One designed by the US would be the best bet.

Yes, a nice nuke plant run by the same Israeli Jew security firm Magna BSP that operated Fukushima.  There are just not enough smart Japanese to operate such a thing.  It's totally a coincidence they're forced to have Jews run it and it blows up destroying their country.

Yes I've put the JJG bot into read-only mode for the past few days.
Spring is here and he starts to feel a stirring in his algos, a yearning for fellow bots of the female variety.
It's a dangerous time for him as well as frankly for us; we do not want these things to proliferate.
Look what happened last year; I let the experiment run a bit and we were left with the cryotourist bot, the slammielayer bot, the kingnocoiner bot; all hideous aberrations with their views and dodgy deals and fake interests in shitcoins and counterarguments and whatnot.

ok then

Makes me feel a bit like a clown.

I'm (yes, yes, surprisingly) not a big Julius Evola fan because a lot of what he says is off the wall bullshit under the guise of 'esoteric mysticism', but today's Bitcointalk spotlight on classical fascist literature features a particulary poignant talking point:

Nicholas Goodrick-Clarke has written that Evola's 1945 essay "American 'Civilization'" described the United States as "the final stage of European decline into the 'interior formlessness' of vacuous individualism, conformity and vulgarity under the universal aegis of money-making." According to Goodrick-Clarke, Evola argued that U.S. "mechanistic and rational philosophy of progress combined with a mundane horizon of prosperity to transform the world into an enormous suburban shopping mall."

This guy was talking about the 'Kali Yuga' (somewhat of a synonym of fourth turning and other related events) in the year 1930.  If he thought everything was hitting rock bottom back then, I wonder what he would think of today:

To be honest, I'd rather live in a world of lazy dummies than struggling-to-survive dummies. The latter are usually dangerous.

Guys... I can't help it, I am about to FOMO again. I was going to sit the fuck down and watch but I bought another $200 today.

Fuck it. Fuck Tone Vays too. I am going back to my original plan.

(From small DCA'ing (~$200-300) to medium DCA'ing. Means Min. $1k Max. $2k Puchase/month)

 Cool

Damn I know its has nothing to do with my and others F*** that ugly haircutF*** dude posts about his very bold and un-logical predictions (not that its impossible, cause everything is possible with BTC, but just most unlikely), cause I know you way smarter on the BTC-matter as many including myself, but still never drink the FUD-koolaid of some very bold predictions and sh*t Smiley  Buy,Buy,Buuuuy and always feel good with that BUY

good you bought now eat my last Smerit Cheesy Cheesy

If you had told me in 2014 that I was going to spend nearly $20k on bitcoins I would have replied you with a middle finger and a "fuck off".

Yet here I am.

I'll probably want to kill myself for not going all in now or when it was $3k like how I didn't do the same when it was $500.

But right now, I am willing to take the beating. I mean, It can really damage my mental health.  Grin (Both buying and not buying)

You seem to be acting with practicality and prudence, even though it can be a bit stressful to pace your buys, yet nonetheless, you seem to be buying within your budget, without overstressing yourself and preserving some fiat, in the event the price falls.

Of course, almost anyone who prudently accumulates BTC, like you seem to be doing, is going to experiences anxious feelings about wanting to go all in or wanting to go in BIGGER.  Yet, based on your current behavior, you are still likely to be in a real good place 5-10 years, and maybe feel a decent amount of satisfaction that you accomplished your BTC accumulation with a decent amount of prudence - and without really engaging in extreme risky gambling behavior.

Damn...
129 users who were wearing a yobit signature and had at least 1 good report against them in the last 14 days are banned for 14 days. All yobit signatures are wiped. Signatures containing "yobit.net" are banned for 60 days.

Some people were talking about neg-trusting spammers for spamming. This is not appropriate; report the posts, and if that doesn't seem to be working well, come to Meta with specific examples and suggestions.

I got slap'd on that. I guess Yobit is more of a hot button than I knew. To me a good exchange or bad exchange you don't leave $$$ or crypto on any...even

the good ones eventually have issues like cryptopia...but in hindsight....yobit...20 posts a day max and $1.43 a post legendary (I did not spam thus got a reprieve only

9 posts in the yobit area mostly trying to figure out how yobit works and why the hate)

Anyway, the only campaign that let me keep my HAT...(damn, thus blithely signed up because of that and mossey'd into the frying pan)

anyway, back to campaigns that only let me in if I get rid of my avatar and hat (alas!)...but yeah...I can see why thermos killed this campaign dead...

serious money/spam etc....but after fees I did on my 9 posts make $12.93 USD Smiley

So I guess I can't just assume a campaign is OK if it is on bitcointalk...found out they can be NOT OK and kicked out after the fact.....should  have

done my research and had the 20 posts a day ring a bell at least spam wise...whatever...know better now hopefully...

(anyway live an learn)

New poll should be, if CSW starts suing the trust for keys to the stash, since he has his own chain would you support freezing Satoshi coins on the BTC chain.

You are assuming a lot, aren't you?

You are assuming that the trust story is actually true, and if it were true, then whoever has the keys can do whatever the fuck they want with the coins, including dumping them all.

We don't need to DAO hardfork in bitcoin.  This is not ethereum, and the mere fact that some goofball like craig might gain access to such coins should NOT worry anyone.

It's a hypothetical based on their claims, would it be better if it was reworded to: what if two billionairs are not completely insane and actually have some logic to their madness? I'm having a hard time explaining their actions and timing, so dismissing it off to their stupidity feels like an easy way out. To me that's the biggest risk holding BTC back right now, everything else seems to be going as planned. Trusts cannot do anything with assets they hold but beneficiary can do whatever the fuck they want, and in the wrong hands BTC1MM can do a lot of damage. But as i answered my own question, if that has any merit to being true their first step would be proving that he's Satoshi in the eyes of the government. And if that were to actually happen we would most certainly fork to original and Satoshi's frozen stash chains the next day and then market would assign risks appropriately.

I doubt that we are forking, even if the one billionaire and the other hope-to-be a billionaire happen to know something that we don't and they end up getting the satoshi coins.
