Anyway, back to topic... has this been posted yet ?

 Wyckoff Scenario Improving

https://cryptoiq.co/bitcoin-btc-wyckoff-scenario-improving/

I rarely post here as I'm more active in niche areas of the site, however Wyckoff theory is something I particularly enjoy.  I wanted to point out a couple of reasons why I do *not* think we are undergoing this particular schematic.  The first thing worth noting is that Wychoff schematics are very much about horizontal support and resistance points.  These interactions are key to each phase, A-E.  You can quickly see that many of the anticipated breaks to higher highs or lower lows OR the retests of key lines in phases A,B,C simply did not occur.  Additionally, the "SOS" flag looking thing in phase E is meant to show the market is able to consolidate just above what had historically acted as a rejection line or key resistance line.  You can see this example in the schematic where the upper horizontal resistance line is touched 3 or 4 times before it's broken, and the market sits on top consolidating (showing it is properly accumulated and ready to mark up).  In our real life scenario, no such break/consolidation period has taken place, at least not just above a previous strong resistance line.  Instead, it jumped an entire $1k before beginning its consolidation period.

Please note, I'm not saying BTC didn't undergo accumulation, I'm simply saying this schematic does not fit.  Some of it sorta/kinda does if you turn your head just right, but the essance of what wyckoff is trying to show does not appear in our sub $5k range.  That being said, there are all sorts of other bottoms/reversal patterns that are appropriate with what we've seen, such as the famous "bump and run" schematic.

Lastly, the 2015 bear market bottom was a *picture perfect* textbook wyckoff accumulation schematic #1.  If you compare the schematic to the actual chart, you'll see they are basically identical.  This time, for the 2018 bear market, you really have to try hard to make it mentally fit and that's just not how wyckoff works.

Anyway, cheers. Hope that helps some of you in your wyckoff studies.

~snip~

Thank you very much.

I'm currently reading a book by a Swedish archaeologist who is comparing bronze age Swedish religion with vedic and other indo european religions. He's especially looking into old Nordic sites with remnants of burnt stones and other sites that would suggest fire offerings and comparing them to Vedic/Hindu fire altars. He's working from the theory that the religions were pretty close at that time, ca 1500 bc. One of the most famous bronze age artifacts from that time is the sun wagon from Denmark. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Trundholm_sun_chariot
It is obviously the old nordic equivalent of suraya, so I am kind of looking for something similar in Vedic/Hindu tradition.

Your welcome bhai.

this one looks interesting, please drop that archaeologist's name. will look into his-her work as well.  and sun was considered very sacred almost in every ancient religion so not very surprising if there are some major or small similarities between different ancient religions.

I think there is consensus among scholars nowadays that the indeuropean religions have a common origin in the religion of the jamna/yamna culture that populated euroasia some 3500-2500 years ago.

The authors name is Anders Kaliff, the books name is "Källan på botten av tidens brunn" (The spring at the bottom of the well of time, with the under title "indoeuropean roots to proto Norse religion"). I don,t think it's available in English, but some of his other books and papers are. https://www.amazon.co.uk/Books-Anders-Kaliff/s?rh=n%3A266239%2Cp_27%3AAnders+Kaliff

Guys... I can't help it, I am about to FOMO again. I was going to sit the fuck down and watch but I bought another $200 today.

Fuck it. Fuck Tone Vays too. I am going back to my original plan.

(From small DCA'ing (~$200-300) to medium DCA'ing. Means Min. $1k Max. $2k Puchase/month)

 Cool

Damn I know its has nothing to do with my and others F*** that ugly haircutF*** dude posts about his very bold and un-logical predictions (not that its impossible, cause everything is possible with BTC, but just most unlikely), cause I know you way smarter on the BTC-matter as many including myself, but still never drink the FUD-koolaid of some very bold predictions and sh*t Smiley  Buy,Buy,Buuuuy and always feel good with that BUY

good you bought now eat my last Smerit Cheesy Cheesy

If you had told me in 2014 that I was going to spend nearly $20k on bitcoins I would have replied you with a middle finger and a "fuck off".

Yet here I am.

I'll probably want to kill myself for not going all in now or when it was $3k like how I didn't do the same when it was $500.

But right now, I am willing to take the beating. I mean, It can really damage my mental health.  Grin (Both buying and not buying)

Thats the same for everybody, only I try to leave out all emotions myself (is not easy), but I try to act as my friend if he plays poker and lose (high stakes losing) he truly never act bitter or whatever, just as BTC  go's down this whole year... as poker as BTC he is long-term and all the rest are 0-events... its very admirable imo the be able of living like that.

Bitcoin spenders can now use the lightning network to shop at e-commerce sites like Amazon.
Crypto payment processing startup Moon announced today that any lightning-enabled wallet can now also be used through Moon’s browser extension.
Before this lightning feature, roughly 250 beta users already used Moon to spend crypto on e-commerce sites by connecting the browser extension to exchange accounts like Coinbase.

https://www.coindesk.com/you-can-now-shop-with-bitcoin-on-amazon-using-lightning

Interesting. I'd like to know more about what it means to "connect[ing] the browser extension to exchange accounts like Coinbase".

a few years ago i ordered something from overstock.com as i think they were among the 1st retailer to accept btc (or at least the 1st retailer i would use). i dont recall exactly how i paid but i remember it was through something like bitpay or something. it displayed a qr code and btc addy with a timer, i copy/pasted the btc addy and paid from my core wallet on my desktop.

few days later i would up returning the item, and the refund went to my coinbase account. which i did not use to pay for the item, as i said it was paid with my core wallet.

they musta figured it out it was me from my shipping address maybe. i looked in my coinbase tx history just now  and all it says is refund for order xxxxx. no amount or other description.

gonna hunt through emails and such to see if i can find more info on how that went.

anyway maybe they will pull something like that..

---------------------------

ok found this in my email from mid 2017:

Quote
From: Coinbase [no-reply@coinbase.com]
To: xxxxxxxx

Overstock.com just sent you 0.xxxxx BTC (worth $xx.xx USD) using Coinbase.
Attached message:
InvoiceId: xxxxxxx, InvoicePaymentId: xxxxxx, refundAmount: USD xx.xx

EDIT: and just found the payment in my desktop core wallet labeled "to overstock for xxx" and the amount matched with a tx time about a week earlier.

so how did they match that up..

Morningzzz!

JJG is up & the kernel upgrade is looking great.

r0achie is also up from the basement, looking sex deprived as usual, having successfully completed a two week wank-all-you-can marathon.

rebal15..., well you know I'm a fan.

Another paid shill who knows nothing. Paid shill are people paid to do or say something even it has no sense and can't questioning. I think WO is a not for BTC business. paid shills, go to street to promote BTC even it is possible you are not investing in BTC.

Just why are you in this WO-mix?? You obviously not a BTC, just another F*** that doesn't know anything about BTC, doesn't own BTC, very very maybe a few super sh*t-alts @its best, so why bothering yourself with being here, as you can just play a video game, watch some tv or taking a walk outside the house or whatever, but the BIG ? ....... why being here Roll Eyes
It what happens when you sell the dip and not got the balls to buy back

Another paid shill who think he knows what people are doing. Do you have access to people's account? Or do you work for bitfinex?

Nothing that a simple 6 week course of stretching can't handle. Imagine how turned on the lady in your life would be if you spat a series of loaded hardware wallets out of your glans. Tell her the pin numbers are secreted in an even more special place and lie back and think of England as she embarks on a very unique form of mining.

Hey,

To the missing HODL-member-brothers, where I have been spending a long and fruitful time with as a true BTC'er, and will be spending lots of time with in the future... I just hope the missing REG's of the WO-thread could leave a feedback/comment in my MS application thread (read the thread and leave an honest opinion, pos. or neg.) I really do appreciate the effort of going out the WO- sanctuary and take a minute of time for me..... ( I do miss a few real OG-bro's)

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5132225.msg50619911#msg50619911

THX, your BTC-Mic

Here's the problem Mic, and I really hope you aren't offended by my absence there, but your MS application scares me.

You see, when people become merit sources it changes my relationship with them.  For me the hardest example is Bob.  Every time I am about to engage in some jovial repartee with Bob I hesitate.  I wonder if I am going to come off as just pumping for merit.  I self censor.  The whole situation fucking sucks actually and I wish merit had never been invented.

Great interview on the What Bitcoin Did podcast: https://www.whatbitcoindid.com/podcast/peter-rizuns-lightning-critique-fud-or-fair

I assume a number of you will summarily dismiss this, rushing to judgement before examining the evidence. But for the open-minded, certainly worth a listen.

I am truly looking forward to the necessitated responses from the LN-faithful. Well, to the extent that such responses be substantive. If this conversation carries forward in a respectful manner, we may all learn a thing or two.

edit: Incidentally, this has been 'Lightning Month' on What Bitcoin Did. Quite a few good installments, each focusing on a different aspect of Lightning.

So i listen to this with an "open-mind".

Yes, we all know LN isn't perfect right now, but for a technology that is a few years old, it has friggen not too bad!.

I don't agree that it is a negative that LN is skewed towards transactions rather than users. This is what LN is for.

I don't believe his arguments has diminished idea of a layer 2 implementation.

Anyhow, I guess we keep coming back to the general idea that it will be fine in the future!.. The technology will be there to support Bigger Blocks and Massive Database (but in the future it will be considered small). We will have cheap 1000GBit connections to link everyone together and 80TB hard drives! Moore says so!

The same can be said for LN and Layer 2 solutions. The developers are working on a solutions for this and that. A different Layer 2 solution will be available soon and so forth.

But which would you bet on? Something that is developing and evolving right before our eyes or relying on Moore's Law?

And I do like Peter McCormack interviewing style. He's use of the word FUCK is so.. so... not sure how to describe it actually..

Damn...
129 users who were wearing a yobit signature and had at least 1 good report against them in the last 14 days are banned for 14 days. All yobit signatures are wiped. Signatures containing "yobit.net" are banned for 60 days.

Some people were talking about neg-trusting spammers for spamming. This is not appropriate; report the posts, and if that doesn't seem to be working well, come to Meta with specific examples and suggestions.
