The table of contents doesn't contain a single instance of the word "bitcoin". Mentioned twice in the “executive summary”. Oops, I didn't notice. You are an executive of WO inc., aren’t you?
Oops, I didn't notice.

This is mainly for VB1001: I'm just going to eat McDonald's food if there's a crisis. No bacteria or virus can live in that stuff anyway and the probability of dying from SARS-2 is likely higher than the probability of dying from eating only McDonald's food for a few weeks. As an added bonus, there won't be a queue.

With any hint of a lock down, as per a recent post by one of our Italian brothers showing a stripped supermarket - it's probably a good idea to have a decent stock of basic non-perishable food and basics like toilet rolls, first aid etc. - just so you don't have to actually go out to hunt down basics. You can always use it up later, or give it to a food bank someday.
This. You don't need to have *that* much to ride out a short term screwup, I just went out and picked up a few hundred worth of extra groceries. Mostly the extra was canned goods, pasta, staples, rice, potatoes, and the like. If things don't go bad in a month I can just eat the excess over time, if things go crazy for a few weeks I'll lose some weight and be fine as well. The goal is to have enough that you don't need to panic without tying down all your coin in one place. In most modern disasters helicopters will be dropping bags of money within a week or so, thus the goal is to not make rash moves before then. Also remember redundancy can be expensive: When the power goes out you don't need to have a generator big enough to run your house for a month. What you need is enough power for the fridge, a lamp (really nice when it gets dark), the fans for your wood stove (in winter), cell phone charging (surprisingly little), a weber grill, and a coffee machine (because waiting in line for coffee sucks). I've done this for a week, it's really not that big of a deal and having cold beer, a light at night, and coffee in the morning goes a long way towards feeling civilized and appropriately smug at those without. So.... Keep things in perspective. Try not to be part of the mass migration herd, either be the first one out (tricky to time) or wait a week till things settle down.

Regarding the CoronaVirus outbreak in Italy. Why Italy? I have a guess. According to a Bloomberg survey, Italy has the fourth most efficient Heath service in the world. This Service is basically free, or prepaid via taxes if you want. Cost control has been tightened, but still the vast burden of it is on the central state (trough local governments) who can then spend how much they want. I think in Italy a little bit less than 9,000 people have been tested for corona virus. Other countries haven’t disclosed this information but apparently we are in the ballpark of 7,000 for UK and less than 500 (five hundreds) for France. So this explains why Italy had so many cases. Other countries have the same percentages with CoronaVirus, yet they don’t know, yet. Maybe, but maybe it is just because the textile industry in the north or Italy relies heavily on illegal Chinese workers. Rumours are one of these brought a gift from his/her trip home for CNY back to Italy.

nope, that's been out there forever if you actually read the thing he's got a point, not a currently popular point but... I find that one of the complexities of women stems from our sordid evolutionary past. Often women's survival has depended on coupling with the man least likely to die. Often the man least likely to die was the one that just killed all the men she used to know.

German military called "Bundeswehr" (sounds like an old Nazi is speaking ) segregates completely a base near to Cologne because of virus suspicion. https://twitter.com/Team_Luftwaffe/status/1232641574493917184#coronavirus #StayAtHome EDIT: "The couple, who are being treated at the Düsseldorf University Hospital, have participated in social life for two more weeks, 'where the virus was so far that people could get infected'". #TheyAreAmongUs

Often the man least likely to die was the one that just killed all the men she used to know. We are all children of rape if we go far enough back. That's why over half of women have rape fantasies, that's why they hate and at times deliberately try to hurt weak men, that's why nobody is having kids anymore. And the only cure is for hundreds of millions of people to die. And hey, here comes Corona-chan to save the day.

Meantime I wonder what the odds are that Trump will order the SS fund to put trillions into the stock market to prop it up.
(Oh wait, there is no surplus, just a box of IOUs. )

Here's a good checklist in case you expect to be without power and/or clean water for a few weeks. It's a hurricane preparedness site but this is the stuff you'd need to think about... https://hurricanesafety.org/prepare/hurricane-safety-checklists/I used this last time I was in a hurricane, worked great, there are several similar products on the market... https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00W2BQT4GAnd of course, it's important that you know how to use all this stuff *before* you need to.
