Can anybody explain what is potential activity? The difference between the number of posts and activity?

Not really. You only need to make one post to be able to collect the full 14 activity at a later date. So if you made one post each in two seperate periods you would have 2 posts and 2 activity but a potential activity of 28. Once you made a total of 28 posts you would then get the full 28 activity but no more until the next period.

Do I still need to make 28 post to earn 28 activity or just make 2 post will earn 28 activity as long as I made that post on 2 separate periods

It depends on the number of posts you have since it will cover up those potential activities. For example, you have 43 posts and in the next acitivity period  you are suppose to have 28 then all you need to do is just post atleast one to get your activity updated (which is in hourly basis). Another scenario, you have 16 posts and next activity period your suppose to have 28 activities yet you only post one so that means you will have 17 activities and 11 potential activities.

I got very confused about the difference between the two,  but I can say that this thread has been very helpful and informative.how long is the next period until I can post another?  Is it okay to post every after 5 minutes?

Not being able to post images until you reach a number of posts is a bit of a pain. I can understand why the moderators had to enforce this but perhaps the algorithm could be tweeked to make it more focused around time on site

See the dates of activity periods here. You can post as much as you can. Basically it is limitless as long as your posts are on point.

activity = min(time * 14, posts)


So does this mean...

Yes, you can get 30 activity points by posting 30 posts. However, you can only get 14 activity points every 2 weeks.

Somewhat confused about the formula for calculating activity.

For example,


If someone makes 200 posts in the first 14 days what is their activity?
If they then make another 200 posts in their second 14 day period, what is their final activity?

Appreciate the clarification.

After first 14 days with 200 posts your activity will be 14. And if you do another 200 posts in the next 2 week period then your activity will be 28. No matter how many points you make, you won't get more than 14 activity points.

No. From the moment you registered, you have 14 potential activities. So if you continue it for 4 weeks then that would be 3(1 upon registration + 2 for two activity periods in 2 weeks)*14=42. There is a specified time for activity periods so basically it is not how long your account here in the forum but rather how many activity periods does your account had gone thru. In this activity period, posting atleast one is needed for your activity to get updated (which is every 30 minutes) and to claim the 14 potential activities in that period.

Upon registration, you have 14 potential activities and currently on this day you have gone thru 2 activity periods that yield you 28 activities. In other words you have 42 potential activities. Since you have lower posts than your potential activities hence having 29 posts will cover the 29 activities (it will not be called potential since it already had been applied; search in the dictionary for the definition of "potential") while the remaining 13 will turn into potential activities.

Hey guys it will be usefull if you write how much time needs to obtain each level. For example to obtain Jr Member you need about 5-7 days of activity in forum.

You can only get 14 activity every two week period. It can't get much clearer than that. The activity/rank table is posted above.

As far as I know, upon registration you have 14 potential activities that means minus 1 activity period. Making Jr. Member takes 1 month to achieve, Member for 2 months and so on and so forth. Correct me if I'm wrong.
