There are several different types of Bitcoin clients. The most secure are full nodes like Bitcoin Core, but full nodes are more resource-heavy, and they must do a lengthy initial syncing process. As a result, lightweight clients with somewhat less security are commonly used.

And BTW the power consumption is 880W

With ±10%, 880 is possible but I have seen video tests of how it never goes above 805-810 Huh

in 3 months we are looking at 6 months or more ROI

So you say L3+ will make a revenue of $300-350 per month in 3 months time? That is a bit too pessimistic imo. I'm expecting a drop as well but going 1/3 in such a short time would be crazy Smiley With that momentum ROI would be actually at least a year, not 3 months Cheesy

July is the key on difficulty wise..I myself expect it to double by Sept 1st .if not more.

Hope I am incorrect....but as far as I can determine with no bitmain units in June and 3 batches in July plus August batches

this could get 'interesting'

Old Style Legacy Plug & Play BBS System. Get it from www.synchro.net. Updated 1/1/2021. It also works with Windows 10 and likely 11 and allows 16 bit DOS game doors on the same Win 10 Machine in Multi-Node! Five Minute Install! Look it over it uninstalls just as fast, if you simply want to look it over. Freeware! Full BBS System! It is a frigging hoot!:)

You sure got a point... a frightening one.

I wonder how many miners does Bitmain sell in each batch. Would there be a way to calculate this difficulty? Just to predict more precisely maybe?

There are 100 and more scrypt coins to mine. LTC is not the only one.

Maybe.. who knows at this point. Bitmain could just be selling the hashing power on the market instead

Again ..hope you are correct...but in the *past* (take with a grain of salt) when bitcoin pumps the alts lag behind and when bitcoin dumps
well...the alts look dang ugly.

But I take you point ..it may not be as dire as I paint it....

Again what I'm planning for due to the fact I think LTC is undervalued and what I *think* is gonna happen to LTC hash rate

I'd be one happy camper if I was completely incorrect...but what is stopping me from getting any new bitmain orders

(that on if they open I'd only get them in Oct 2017 this year)

reasons not to buy are piled too high for me at the present time at least with bitmain scrypt pow

Yep most likely monday or sometimes next week. Although expect price rise in LTC, as LTC has dropped some. Would expect at least 50 LTC or so.

They were selling the units for $1200 a few weeks back. Now they raised the price to around $2k and you think they would adjust to ltc? Yeah, they probably will... greedy.

How are your overclocked L3+ running?
My Miners run @ 450 Frequency (~590MH) for around 5 weeks now without any issues. No HW errors, no crashes, temp and fan speed only slightly increased (i have good cooling).

Oh man, my L3+ is just half a month away and I'm hyped! I was contemplating actually selling it right away when I get it from double but it's not worth it when I can make ROI and 1.5 months. And personally I feel LTC is only gonna go up so whatever it mines it's only gonna go up in value.

Today I looked at my 4 L3's I got April 6th and my 4 L3+'s I got May 8th? ...both of these are in hand..at those dates..if I remember right...

The L3's ROI'd in 2 months (June) The L3+'s by about 100 bucks in LTC on or around July 4th...

Both will ROI with all electric/hosting/psu/etc FOR THE YEAR...so no other costs (located at colohub)  ..I double checked with coin output for each miner

on the www.litecoinpool.org miner page, (actual LTC mined per miner)  and also the www.litecoinpool.org/calc page also verifies this

WOW! 2 month ROI..who'd  thunk it?

On the other hand...find myself needing asic equip to keep IRS at bay...they want my money..and not sure L3+'s (if they resume...don't resume...take

your time..paint the warehouses....send everyone on a nice August vacation...I have my miners...its all about me damn it ) Smiley oops I digress

but anyway not big, at the present time and suspected price,  on bitmain machines that I order now (if I could) arriving sometime in the middle of October with what we expect in scrypt pow and LTC difficulty pump as the 'shocking new reality' then

anyway feast or famine asic machine wise it seems

for the newbies out there....THIS NEVER EVER HAPPENS so don't think we will be LIKELY to get a repeat (though at 75 to 100 buck LTC hmmmmmmmmmmm) get equip
in a prudent manner....just before I ordered I posted on bitcointalk 6 buck floor for LTC (from 4.15) and was doing it for the 25% equip depreciation off my taxes on
mining this year to IRS and a 12-15 month ROI ....sometimes being dumb and lucky is the only way to go...I surely was not smart enough to count on LTC pumping.

anyway....so far the surfing is great till the wave I'm on hits the difficulty beach here in July.....damn that is gonna hurt!!!

on the other hand...perhaps..just perhaps...I shoulda saved the like Paid Out   12490.662295630000 LTC from www.litecoinpool.org it shows me from accounts that at todays LTC rate of $37.70 is $470,897.97 usd...ouch.......ouch....ouch......this is all the hash I've made accumulating LTC since Nov 8th 2014 with my first knc Titan.

Newbies expect further weird times in cryptoland Smiley All sorts of missed 'boats' await you!

Yeah, if I had gotten the May batch like I was originally planning I'd be ecstatic and My plans would have to move back. But oh well atleast I got a free power supply from all that mess.
I need to move next to a river for free electricity and make a farm! xD

Well they do, but only 180 days. This is not the problem. Sending your miner back takes at least 4 weeks before its back. This is 4 weeks no income....
