For me, criminal doesn't really matter as to what currency to use - fiat or cryptocurrency, as long as they will be able to use it as a form of payment and that is it. When they can use bitcoin, they can and that is the same as with fiat money.

Honestly, in the past we had many hackers used for crime. But nowadays, some people proved Bitcoin is worse than other anonymous Altcoin. You can see Monero, almost the transaction through Monero can not track data information of user, not like Bitcoin, you can do that by some methods.

Bitcoin is a mode like other currency. Criminals or hackers may use it temporary but it is not criminality and bitcoin. In some countries it is banned because there criminals started bitcoin for hacking, purchasing drugs etc these ways of criminals made everyone letting into a negative sign of disgusting. yes, so it can be concluded that the important thing is people who use bitcoin. all things can be used as a crime tool if the one who uses it is a criminal. as the OP explains, there are advantages and disadvantages, depending on where we judge it.

If Bitcoin becomes illegal in that country, almost anyone using it becomes a criminal. Besides the good side of Bitcoin, anyone can recognize the bad side that it brings. It is true that bitcoin can be used to some illegal activities that causes the criminality of a certain country to increase thats why some of the governments in some countries in the world already banned bitcoin in their place. Bitcoin can be used to buy illegal guns, drugs, hiring a hitman and many more illegal things in the internet. in some matters yes it will increases but in the otherway  around
some of the criminals will used their own wallet to transfer bitcoin to their wallet but in some case it can be traceable

Bitcoin is an amorous currency and everyone can use bitcoin at the same time, there is nothing like only special people can use bitcoin. a lot of good things are happening in the world because of bitcoin so if some criminals will use bitcoin even then the value and price of bitcoin will not get affected.
