yeah, kinda already know it since several months ago that this popular and promising coin is used by some criminals to do their own thing. but like what you said, good and bad thing will tag along. it is currency, depends on what will people used it for.  |

Criminality is one of the disadvantage of the bitcoin. They said bitcoin is using in the dark web or in the deep web to exchange in some rape,murdering,selling organs and many more. This is the reason why many country doesn't like to accept the bitcoin.

Criminality isn't a feature of Bitcoin and it's not BTC's fault for being used by these criminals for their illegal or shadowy transactions. What made Bitcoin connected for crimes, frauds, scams and the like were due to its feature and not 'Criminality'. Bitcoin is a digital currency that is somehow being used worldwide, it can be send or received by any person in the world without giving personal or confidential information regarding either the sender or receiver. Criminals see through this and took advantage of this feature. However, since the creation of Bitcoin, there are too many illegal activities that is happening throughout the worldwide web. It's just that when Bitcoin arrives, these activities bloom much further. |

There is just one flaw in bitcoin which is its anonymity which gives rise to such suspicious activities. LONG time ago 20 years even when bitcoin was not invented cybercrimes in uk was highest!! billions and billions losses even more ,guess so much no-one even have not counted the actual losses!! and there was no bitcoins used at all...only pure cash ! and yes partly its correct since a lot illegal money been loundered in uk specially london...but its only speculation.. and no-one really knows what money and purpose its for only court can find out ,and it is not our right to judge anyone~! I think it's excessive to associate bitcoin with a criminal act, without a massive criminal bitcoin and where it all depends on a person and our way of thinking, bitcoin is made not a criminal purpose but to improve the economic system. |

Maybe, and if there are criminals who use bitcoin in their transactions I think these are the criminals who have high levels of thought and education. and I think if there are criminals like them that are using bitcoin, I think it's the criminals who have confidence in each other.

To be honest, bitcoin is partly connected with criminal activity, there are criminals who, for illegal activities, they hide their cash flows, evade taxes  Is it proven now? Maybe there is a high percentage now that criminals are hiding their illegal activities using bitcoins as their payment processor. And I am sure a lot of them that is now aware of using bitcoin will be encourage to use it once they learn about it. |

No one will dispute that fact that bitcoin has lead to the increase in criminal and criminality, what ever that has an advantage also have a disadvantage as bitcoin has help criminals to carry out they activities in notice so is also the bank and so many other financial institutions. But the fact still remains that due to the decentralized mature of bitcoin criminals will fine it as a safe heaven for the illegal payments for arms, drugs and even corrupt government officials will choose bitcoin to launder money out of the country unnoticed.

Criminality is directly proportional to a money and BTC is a money and it depend on the user of money that how he want to use his money. While some people are thinking that people are using BTC for criminality while its not true. Because criminal can use any currency for criminality if they have.

Crime will always be there no matter what currency there is. Criminals will always find ways how to transact with their illegal activities. Even in fiat money, there is rampant illegal transactions out there and it is not the fiat money concern to eradicate it but the enforcers of the country - same thing with bitcoin, it is not the one who deals with criminals but the enforcers. |

The crime was before Bitcoin and will be after Bitcoin. I do not see a connection between Bitcoin and the growth of crime. Government just afraid of bitcoin and try to find some labels to put in Bitcoin. |
