I tried this miner on Ubuntu 14.04 and it's amazing! I used EWBF's CUDA Zcash miner before and I got no more 405 Sol/s on 1070 (but it was all right on Windows).
Now it is works on standard 440 Sol/s. Great, great, great!!!

@dstm
Thank you for the tip. Connecting using sockets worked. Now it returns the status.
Also, I had no issues running it until now (fingers crossed), it's running much better than EWBF's, so I will keep using it.
Thank you for the great work!

Short update for the windows folks.

Windows port is already running on a single GPU. Seems like I'll be able to finish it until the weekend.

Should we make sure we have the latest CUDA 9.0 Windows drivers?

CUDA 9.0 is not required. It's new functionality mainly makes programming easier for people that are not familiar with the lowlevel functionality of the hardware. There is one particular new feature that might bring some improvements, it requires some restructuring so I'll do the corresponding tests later.

dstm, it's great that windows version is on the way... waiting long time...
Do you have any plan to consider the difficulty display of the solution accepted....
It is just in case someone to try in solo mode and would like to know his max share found. ( using pool..... luckpool.org).... same as in ccminer using any altcoins.

Yes ofc, I can display the difficulty of every found share if this is useful.
Btw, how does it make sense to solo mine while still using a pool?

Looking forward to trying the zcash miner. Sick of paying EWBF's bar tab since he released and bailed, but it's still the best option out there. Hope you can at least match it and eventually exceed his results.

That's Great!!
This pool has, Miner Reward for the one who solves the target. But i wanted to know how far i reached, close to solving and getting the reward. Although the shares are random. A luck factor. Smiley
Then only think about completely setting the solo mode ...... on the node itself.....

So is there a windows miner yet? Can't seem to find it in the thread.
btw you can check your mining profits in all Equihash coins in the calculator of https://www.crypto-coinz.net
whattomine does not compare them all.

Seriously? What a way to spam the thread. The information about the windows miner was literally on the previous page.

Thanks @dstm , this miner is giving me better performance than EWBF, even when taking the mining fee into account. With EWBF, some cards were frequently underutilized, in a random fashion. With your miner, they stay with over 98% utilization all the time.

dstm,

Do you know why your zm miner wouldn't work on Arch Linux?  I try to run it and it just justs there not producing any output at all.  I don't think it's doing anything.  I can run ./zm --help and it gives me that.  Nothing else works though.  I installed openssl-1.0 if that matters.

Strange, since I'm developing it on arch and testing it on both - arch and ubuntu. It runs fine for me on arch.

Well, maybe I don't have all the necessary libraries installed.  I'm not sure.  openssl-1.0 is the only one it complained about.

There are no other requirements, you have to install nvidias driver ofc, but you have done this for sure Smiley

Very strange that it's not producing any output at all. This might happen on connection issues, since it might take some time for the socket to timeout.  Check what nvidia-smi reports, you should see an GPU-Util about 100% if it's working.
