BINGO, shop.bitmain.com is ALIBABA

traceroute -A on shop.bitmain.com gives AS45102 - Alibaba (China) Technology Co., Ltd., China

So there you go folks, whenever you pay, or order on BITMAIN.COM, alibaba is taking care of that ORDER.

Now go figure why ALL english accounts and non-chinese accounts get sent to the /dev/null pool??

Of what interest does bitmain.com have other than off-loading hardware, in pre-payment, of course alibaba is a resale place and loves to make 500% ROI on a quick deal.

What's left for the minion? NADA

AS45102 - Alibaba (China) Technology Co., Ltd., China

traceroute -A shop.bitmain.com

Note they twitter show today the faux gl link at the top of the sale, leads directly to this site, a alibaba site.

Don't be prejudice ...  Grin
Alibaba and aliexpress are very good e-commerce site.

Maybe bitmain just host their server in alibaba data centre?

if bitmain sell through alibaba/aliexpress , i believe it will be smooth as they are comparable to amazon and ebay.

If I can suggest to Bitmain, maybe they should channel the order through amazon store , ... what do you think ?

crypticj, no, i was not able. Got the same problem with the captcha!

I have spoken to over 10-15 ppl in slack and in forums they all report the same thing, not a single reliable person has said there order went thru or the payment option showed up.

Looks like either Bitmain never sold D3 or some one played a masterful game, hopefully we find out soon enough. Very frustrating for ppl wanting to buy D3 and now they are showing up on Alibaba for 3x price for november etc.

the twitter.com/bitmaintech site is clearly an ALIBABA front, note that the link in todays 'sale' lead's directly to alibaba, but the funny thing is nobody, but alibaba resellers made an order go through,

very blatant for me in asia, next time I'm going to order on the chinese site, as it clearly told me that an english order in asia was verboten, so now I'm suspicious if that perhaps 'chinese' orders were going through.

Releasing new batches of Antminer D3 & L3+ tomorrow at 11AM (14 Sept,GMT+8) here (D3: [Suspicious link removed]/gGn5aD, L3+: [Suspicious link removed]/4ejRXC) pic.twitter.com/H3kJ4Mk9yR

note that hte [Suspicious link removed] faux sites went straight to alibab, who just happens to have ZERO interest in selling HW to the public at the wholesale price.

Well its a conflict of interest, as alibaba is a reseller, but they're the wolves who decide what sheep buy cheap and sell high. ( note I'm  a miner, an end user )

This is clearly a conflict of interest.

There is NO doubt in my mind that all incoming orders to alibaba that were not 'pre-covered' with an alibaba voucher were /dev/nulled to the old bit bucket in the sky, aka connection dropped for being an english order.

Now ALIBABA is the largest webstore on earth, given that they're handling all orders ( shop.bitmain.com ) and fullfillment/payment ( passport.bitmain.com ), I highly doubt that ALIBABA servers were INCAPABLE of handling a few thousand geeks trying to get new miners.

It's clear as shit here that this SALE was a fraud, my browser clearly said "We cannot deliver product to CHINA using english site", that was the first message I got when I got my cart through "2+2=?" at 10:05, I never got past that problem, as my order was to THAILAND. Clearly the alibaba site was setup to block and drop all 'english site' orders.

Next time I will order from the chinese version of bitmain.com and I will make sure to set myself up as an alibaba reseller in advance and get "VOUCHER" so my order can go through.

In the meantime  the question begs to be asked, "HOW LONG WILL PEOPLE PUT UP WITH THIS BLATANT DISCRIMINATION AND BULLSHIT?

Hi guys, I've been a silent readed here for about 3-4 weeks and I decided to say something now. The previous batch of D3 I have managed to acquire one with the payment already confirmed by Bitmain. This morning I tried purchasing my second D3 with the hope that it goes through. But guess what, just like what you guys said, impossible to put an order this time. I agree with some of the user here that said this is might be a play by Bitmain to maybe test their website or just sell it to another party. I hope there's another competitor who also sell Asics with a better purchasing experience. Besides the D3 now back to 15GH/s on their website not like before 17.5GH/s.

You were lucky, it was just a lot of trouble this time to. Was easy adding products, but I think they forgot to upgrade the passport.bitmain.com server.

I never managed to get to payment page  Sad

https://shop.bitmain.com/productDetail.htm?pid=00020170912160304914mzIAF5BP0670

As bitsonline testified that its should the right spec
https://bitsonline.com/antminer-d3-first-look-review/

So, its another D3+ with more efficient with power?

If the D3+ will have only 17.5 gh then it would totally not worth it with the rape we'll see after the D3 batches in X11

I do believe that's just the fluctuations of the advertised hashrate.
No miner until this day has a constant / steady hashrate. They all move up or down

Well I have to say mine are almost all on the dot.   there is not one that falls short or is over the expected rate.

Sure some HB got thousands of errors while other got none but the output is really stable.  I can't see that they got a swing of 2k hash on the D3, that seems a little heavy
