BTC gold futures at 290, I suspect they will hit 500 before the dumping starts

https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/bitcoin-gold/

alot of money will be made on nicehash i think, either way this gives us something new to mine and a new competitor to BTC which is great

since its totally GPU driven

This is how ive always felt.  Use BTC for it's store in value, and alts for minor transactions.

Imaging using BTC to save, and BTG to spend... something along those lines.   The concept of TX fees will be nonexistent if you wished.

if BTG takes off solid  we could see a boost on nvidia card prices.

Simple logic dictates it.

I will be making a move to get the Zotac 1070ti MINI (110watts, 200core, 700mem, 500sols, DSTM miner) before prices go crazy.

I ordered 4 evga 1070 ti hybrid

I noticed that you have a lot of watercooled GPU's is there any reason for this other than noise? I am going to be getting to the point of not being able to have any more fan based GPU's due to the noise of them (garage is under the bedroom)

Low temps of the gpu/mem are good in the long term. you can cram cards on boards with tight soace between slots without getting the cards overheated.I have two evga 1080ti hybrid running them in tropical climate, temps are around mid 40s

673.2 Singapore Dollar equals
494.84 US Dollar

Right to my doorsteps.

Final bill had some "11-11" discounts about 300$ SGD off -- I think they are competing with ALiexpress "11-11" Year end sales.

I will be using the Colorful 8 slots mobo and get 2 rigs.

Nicehash equihash might be the easy option... But Suprnova is usually a good choice too. Ocminer is always on the ball and the advantage there is you don't need a wallet (unlike many other pools). Saves you the massive Nicehash fees.

Vega 56 is pretty much a one-trick pony on Monero at this time for cost and efficient cryptocoin mining, based on the info I've seen.

The 1070Tis are crap at eth,  I dont see how the 56 is a one trick pony when it hits high hash rates on pretty much every algo it is used on , sorry but you are not making sense lol.

They were back up to $459 or $469 when I checked Newegg pricing right before that post - RIGHT NOW there is a Power Color model at $409, a Gigabyte at $429, and the rest are OVER $500.

On a hash/$ basis, even at $400 they barely match a RX 470/480/570/580 while being less power efficient per every posting I've seen.
On everything else BUT Monero (and D.Net RC5-72 work) they are VERY poor on a hash/$ basis and usually not competative on hash/watt.

ETH algo is about the ONLY algo the 1070 ti is "crap" at - far more flexable card than Vega 56 is and efficient at a LOT of algorithms.

Efficiency is not everything, especially when it's as expensive as a pascal GPU.
Hash per watt is good, hash per dollar is better. In a market as uncertain as crypto, you want the quickest possible return on your investment. Unless you have a massive operation already that'll quickly pay off your investment, you'll see profit quicker with Vega's.

TLDR: Vega is less risky

If you are in the US - Suprnova is going to be better due to pings, latency etc.

As soon as I reap the premium rates at NH - fingers crossed hope my strategy works - I will mine with an Asian pool or node and mine it direct to Binance and accumulate them coins there. 400$ a coin is nice incentive...... 16 of those coins will ROI my Zotac 1070tis Minis  Grin

Have you had a look at the hash rates for the Mini? it much different to the normal sized ti's?

So far, no premium rates for equihash. Haven't switched my rigs yet. Likely will start rising tonight. At least that's what I'm hoping Cheesy

If BTG does deliver, then MAYBE I'll invest in that new rig Cheesy

Vosk has a good review of the 1070ti.

Size wise, I choose the Zotac Minis because its much smaller than the normal 1070s, so its easier to hang or install on the Colorful mobo.

Good deal on Newegg for a 1080 mini $490 after coupon EMCSBBBB5 with a free game. Limit 3. That's cheaper than some 1070 Ti and much better if you don't mine Ethash.

ZOTAC GeForce GTX 1080 Mini, ZT-P10800H-10P, 8GB GDDR5X

How did you get Lazada to ship stuff to you? It keeps asking me to enter a post code with 6 digits and could not find a way to get them to ship abroad.

Amazon have the zotac 1070ti mini for $450

https://www.amazon.com/ZOTAC-Graphics-IceStorm-Backplate-ZT-P10710G-10P/dp/B076S4RT1J/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1510416062&sr=8-1&keywords=zotac+1070+ti+mini

I still can't justify 1070tis. Only $2.50 a day, compared to vega 56 $3.50 a day.
