Reminds me of a person(left) partially merged with a computer/network & about ready to arc weld another transaction into the blockchain(rightside), what better way to think of it.
Cool by me Vlad, didn't know the decision had been made & kinda liked that one anyway...

I don't think any decision was made per sé, Ahmed asked me for an IXC symbol and I gave him the best one we have. We've had some decent submissions for the single letter design but nothing which really stood out and nothing which the community seemed to really love so for now this will have to do. I'm hoping in the next few months we will have a bigger budget to work with and then we will be able to accomplish a lot more. Cheers!

The way I see it, what happens to Ixcoin, is a time marker, one that will echo what can be expected to happen to Bitcoin many years from now when all those coins have been mined, and I'm old enough to know that its a pretty good chance I'll be dead by then, so what happens here with Ixcoin interests me very much.
You're mistaken. IxCoin has no transaction volume, so will wither on the vine. Bitcoin will be the world's financial network, and fees will be higher than the block reward in 10 years time when it drops to 3.125 BTC, never mind 100 years hence. We've no disagreement about there being a lack of transaction volume for IxCoin, in my case however, I see it as a great asset going forward. Talk about the car setting in the parking lot all gassed up & ready to go...Just *Look* at all that cheddar! How things really play out will likely be different than either one of us expects. Anyway my attitude is we'll seeGR

Since http://walletgenerator.net/ has not yet delivered a paper wallet for iXcoin, in the meantime I tested Devcoin paper Wallet. Basically you pay the fee to transfer your coins as usual. Once you redeem the papaer wallet using the secret key, the address of the paper wallet joins the other existing addresses in your wallet. It worked smoothly. Really appreciate hearing from you on the paper wallet studies, agree its important and wanted to let you know I've been following

I feel strongly that this zebedee guy has ulterior motives for being here. I asked him twice to give one plausible reason why Thomas would hold on to a premine for 3 years and still be paying out large bounties after all this time and keeping in mind IXC was basically left for dead for nearly 2 years. No alt coins with a premine has had that happen and it defies all logic for any CrapCoin or ScamCoin and I simply can't figure out why Thomas would still be here and with the premine other than it was planned from the beginning. That or Thomas is simply the Nicest guy in the world and I just don't buy that cause nice guys don't abandon a coin and fail to even respond for nearly 2 years.

The idea is good but the symbols are not because they have no resemblance to iXcoin or IXC.
And IXC will be used for more than just micro transactions - I think doge or another massively diluted ShitCoin will be used for true micro transactions.

My only motive is to watch this turd die, enjoy it, and see how you guys handle it. Has anyone even checked it functions beyond the October end-of-world? There's a good chance it doesn't. You guys don't even have a testnet right?!? And if you can't imagine the inventor's motives, then I can't help you. I can think of many, including "The few hundred thousand I'm sitting on are worth fuck all, why should I sink any more time in this if I can throw others a bone and maybe revive some value off their backs"

I thought I read somewhere that it didn't have to be an i or an x. Maybe the focus should be on X? So I generated my first 2 blocks less than a second apart.
Why do you say "16*6=96 IXC" when "96 IXC" would suffice¿?¿ 16*6 means nothing as far as i can tell
16*6 is a reference to the X in Ixcoin, as in Hex/Hexadecimal/16. I never read anywhere where it can be anything other than I or X. Would you give Bitcoin a W as its currency symbol? What I said was that we have an option, unlike other coins, to go with either an X or an I and that I would not lobby or push for one or the other but rather let the community decide. That said, I have had a strong feeling from the beginning that either IXC or BTC (XBT) would become known as XCoin but I don't want to be the one to make it happen. I want whatever is meant to be to happen so I'm just putting the options out there.

its got an x in there!! I had to look really hard to see that X. It looks to me like a boat wheel. Not a very attractive symbol. I think we can do better. I don't think it's a rush; we'll need it before we do a real marketing push but that could take a few months as we wait on "everyone else".

It's funny how you don't go around to all the dying ShitCoins on this forum to save them or to boast but you did choose IXC, eh? And now you also own a few hundred thousand IXC? Haha, do you also own a few % of ShitCoin? What about a few percent of another dying turd? No? I didn't think so. And nobody asked you for help so I'm not sure what you're implying. Go back to those bloated turds, Bitcoin and NXT: Cause I promise you, if I'm ever unleashed I will wage [ThermoCrypto] war on guys like you and all your shitty coins; I will have only one goal - one focus and that is to destroy every other currency on earth, including Bitcoin. Now why don't you just sell me your IXC since you're so certain it's dead. Please, wrap that albatross around my neck - I'll go down with it.

As someone else pointed out, I'm 3 years invested in watching this die. Proof of concept, after that the death of the rest is pretty much certain. And now you also own a few hundred thousand IXC? Haha, do you also own a few % of ShitCoin? What about a few percent of another dying turd?

Sorry this rambling detritus made no sense, not sure what the question was. Vlad - you can't say I ever persuaded you to invest in it. If you've got a lot invested, make it go.

Just wanted to check in and say that the 50K IXC bounty is still up for grabs Dude, quit checking and do something useful. Oh, I forgot, the only thing you could do was copy a codebase, replace BitCoin with IxCoin in the message strings, and replace 50 with 96. You were so fucking clueless you mined for 3 months to get your premine, rather than know how to put it all in the genesis coinbase, because, uh, copy-paste didn't work there. Get the fuck out already.

Great. Ahmed - my advice to you as you seem to be the only technically competent person willing to do something with this. Make them pay you in real money (BTC) at a decent high-level programmer rate for your own time. Because otherwise you're selling yourself short and letting a bunch of waste-of-space lowlifes leech off you for their own benefit.

Forewarning to the iXcoin Community: That's all fine and good but there's something else that worries me and I don't want to see those loyal to iXcoin get blindsided. Communication from some of our partner(s) and board member(s) has been extremely lacking....heck, I'll be honest, it has been piss-poor.
Lol. This is the non-response when you're bribing them with 48 IXC a block. Maybe they're pissed as they used to get 96 IXC a block? Do you think they'll give a shit, let alone continue to merge mine, when they're getting 0 IXC a block? Wake up and take a reality pill Vlad. It's dead, stick a knife in it.

I was simply trying to help.
Simply trying to get you stop wasting your time talking about Ixcoin, it was premined, made over 3 years ago, it's left for dead, has no features, and has no community.
Move On, to coins with futures, no one is going to buy Ixcoin because we all know you're going to dump your Huge stash that you've been mining for Years on any potential buyers.
How did I miss this? Preach it, brother.
