Today I finally had time to compile and review the 9.2 source code for iX Here is the windows qt I built zipped (sorry it's big I did not bother to strip it , you'll see why) https://drive.google.com/file/d/0Bz8503hoyr74RFNXRjJYcE9QUDg/edit?usp=sharingWarning , before you run this file ------- and unless you are really curious about iX coin I suggest you skip it It is named bitcoin, and if you are not careful it will overwrite your bitcoin wallet in the roaming directory. I compiled it from souce with qt 5.3.1 and open ssl 1.0.1i the latest ...... I did not bother uploading or testing the daemon...... I had to change a few things in the source code to get it to compile ..... I pushed those changes (note this does not mean the program is fixed / just cosmetic changes to get it to compile) to my fork of the iX 9.2 github here https://github.com/photonproject/IXCoin-1/commit/4c5b6e96d249df180fded1d39a6a015fcd106eb8After I fired it up I realized that this was not going to connect to the iX network and still needs some work before it can be built from source to a working wallet. From a cosmetic standpoint it appears to be a bitcoin wallet and those changes are easy to correct but if you look here https://github.com/photonproject/IXCoin-1/blob/master/src/chainparams.cpp#L70the seed nodes are to what appears to be dev coin the checkpoints here https://github.com/IXCoin-Dev/IXCoin/blob/master/src/checkpoints.cpp#L48are not for iX coin The ports appear to be wrong and I think also the magic numbers. When I got to that point I stopped. I don't have time to rewrite the source. It took me two weeks to find the time to compile it but in it's present form it appears a work still in progress. (not sure if any of you have a working exe file out there that is different from what I compiled if so , and it works perhaps Ahmed will update the source when he is paid for his work) I am not writing this to criticize anyone's work in a negative way. I am just posting the changes I had to make to get it to compile and presented you with an example of what was compiled.

ok rebuilt from branch here is ix 9.2 (note I could not dl the blockchain but this was previously discussed and from a cosmetic standpoint it still has the btc logo but no errors at all on compiling this time, I changed nothing) used qt 5.3.1 and open ssl 1.0.1i https://drive.google.com/file/d/0Bz8503hoyr74Q05Vcl9jN18wYzQ/edit?usp=sharingi also will add i think it was the first wallet I ever compiled that had a virus total of ZERO !!! IXcoin can do it all. iXcoin can literally be the entire core and after the mining is done we can also easily drop the block time to maybe 2 minutes and probably not have any issues like we would now with loaded blocks.

I'm really curious if this SuperNet protocol will be called xCoin. XCoin would certainly be a fitting name for Many coins in one coin.
I read SuperNet raised 3,000 BTC. Unreal. I suggested a solution where IXC could funnel all the currencies into one, through itself, last year but got no responses.
Well, it would be nice if we at least got in the core. By the sound of it only a few coins will qualify to be core coins. And since IXC can be updated to do anything top coins such as: NXT, Counterparty, etc, can do, those coins then Would instantly have no value for SuperNet. So iXcoin can displace pretty much any coin out there by simply adding their features on top of its own protocol.
This is why I say that IXC can probably run a similar protocol all on its own - with IXC at the core all by itself. So really, if SuperNet doesn't see IXC's value there's nothing stopping IXC (except lack of funds) from creating a similar but superior SuperNet.

Yes, but cinnamon or other coders who know this stuff can explain it better than me. Bitcoin's loaded blocks have serious issues with block propagation which keeps them from increasing the block size limit and also keeps them from lowering the block time. In 40 days IXC will be able to outdo Bitcoin on every level, without any feature updates and of we drop the block time to say 2 minutes not only will IXC be much faster but our block size limit will also instantly go up 5 fold compared to BTC. I think this is what CEX is trying to sell to investors. A full blown [faster, better & Cheaper] competing currency to Bitcoin which also comes with a bigger and wider distribution than any other coin, including Bitcoin. I originally thought they wanted to use IXC as a back channel to help BTC but now it looks like LTC and doge will be used for that while IXC will be used as a Bitcoin killer.

I think we should offer a CASH bounty for building in reversible transactions.
How does $2000 sound? Can anyone build in some parsing rules for op_return to utilize reversible transactions?
Bounty payable once ixcoin has been accepted into the supernet core and ixcoin is at close to $1 each.
I'll gladly pay an additional $2,000 once IXC hits $1. Even if it's not accepted into the supernet core. Sorry, that's the best I can do since today I am cashless. lol.

That made me laugh harder than any other time this year. Genius Satoshi - Brilliant hacker and scientist forgets how to properly configure TOR [something teenage coders can do with ease] so he leaks his own IP address and basically everything else about himself. Hahahaaa, you can't make this shit up. In fact, I'm seeing such a trend that I can pretty much predict the next "surprise" and its outcome. Haha. This whole Satoshi thing is one big fun game. Well, until the Bitcoin music stops - in about 18-24 months or so.

Roger Ver with his 37.6 BTC bounty to get the hacker made me laugh even harder. The guy has 300,000 Bitcoins and he can't round the reward up to 38? Haha. I wish I had just a few hundred Bitcoins cause I would seriously offer an even 38 Bitcoins just to make him look like an idiot. And besides, he only pays that BTC if there's a conviction so that means he's really doing this to get some attention since the hacker is most likely in Eastern Europe or China.

I had more time to test the qt of iX 9.2 installed on a clean machine and the blockchain installs perfectly so once complete this version will be ready for the next generation of iX users. What do you think about Apple Pie, I mean Apple Pay? Lol Is it going to help cryptos or not?
I'm no techie but anything which aids touchless (NFC) payments will promote Bitcoin [crypto] payments. My thought is that once the infrastructure for NFC is set up [and it is nearly all done] it's not difficult to simply input a different form of payment. In fact - I'm starting to think the multi billion dollar NFC infrastructure they built out over the past few years was in fact planned for cryptos. The latter is simply speculation on my part. So yes, I think everything is in place for crypto mass adoption next year. Pretty amazing and unexpected!

I personally like the reversible transactions idea and also joining supernet.
There's no way any crypto can make it to mass adoption without a plan for consumer resolution or reversibility of transactions. It's consumer protection - it's a feature for the people while. Bitcoin's way is in favor of the corporations - once again not standing for its supposed motto.
