I think the focus is on what bitcoins are going to do at the moment, so I suspect there is going to be the continual downwards pressure on dvc until bitcoins break back above $600 on good volume. If btc break down below $380, then there's a good chance the dvc price will crash as more people convert to btc and panic sell. I just wish I had more btc to lay some thick buy offers on vircurex (apart from the recent frozen funds, it still seems business as usual there). I'm quite surprised it's kind of holding steady at 27-28 satoshi for the past week or so. Maybe a psychological bottom.

Please test out new auction site www.devcoinauctions.comdemo1:demo1 demo2:demo2 demo3:demo3 are 3 users:password... this will be a good place to spend devcoins/litecoin/bitcoin to support the devcoin market... similar to the multi-pool concept except providing actual utility.

I think the bitcoin/namecoin/devcoin trio makes so much sense. They have more than necessary hashing power to secure each others systems, and that's the most important thing going forward. Who cares about price fluctuations...

i like it! But what about ratings? Theres now 2 ways to reduce writers earnings? Ratings and hoarding rating? But I like it it creates incentive to hold.. while spending if you need to. We can extend this to anyone recieving shares not just writers.. even developers would hold etc.

We can extend this to anyone recieving shares not just writers.. even developers would hold etc. yes a double multiplier: author rating*hoarder rating*wordcount=generation shares. of course it has to be extended to developers: if a high hoarder rating developer gets a bounty in shares, the shares are multiplied. So the bounties are actually different from diferent users POV. In my opinion it has to be done before it's to late. There are serious dangers in the present scheme: whereas the most efficient bitcoin miner works towards the benefit for bitcoin, the most prolific devtome writer has no further possibilities of investment so he ends with dumping the coins too quickly AND there are no super efficient miners (writers) who are encouraged in stepping in because they can profit frome their superior computational power.

Sure why dont you propose it on our official forum coinzen.org through a thread or just a post?

IMHO vircurex is dead. They have 5-10% of the volume they used to have, so they will not even be able to pay back the frozen accounts of so many customers. Vircurex should really try and get a new design and face, they look very lazy if you ask me. I mean I always liked their simple design, but now that they messed up, they certainly have to come up with some new features to attract customers, because I don't think they know what they do. It makes them look like they don't care.

The action seems to have moved to Cryptsy. 24 hour volume on Cryptsy for DVC/BTC was 5.16 BTC and for DVC/LTC it was 0.9 BTC. On Vircurex it was 0.3719 BTC for DVC/BTC.
