And suddenly all the FUDers re-appear.

And your sock puppet account, eh Max?

If you look to the post history of hilux74 and willow it is not a surprise that they are sockpuppets.; zero contribution to any Quark related projects, only active when somebody post something "negative" about the coin (eg when I post something), and there is never anything wrong with the coin. not very realistic...It would be interesting if willow is Max Smiley

Actually my post history in Quark and many other coins speaks for itself, pretty obvious I'm nobodies sockpuppet, and your continued claims to the contrary always just continue to erode your own foundation to others.

A better and more valuable question one should ask themselves is: What positive influence has Silvermetal provided to Quark or any other coin?  The answer is NONE.  Look at his post history, all his posts are negative and involve conspiracies.  There is no personality in his posts at all...just an actor playing their scripted part.  All he is is a negative pest like a mosquito.

What's next for you silvermetal...discovering that both Bitcoin and Quark have a blockchain...therefore Satoshi is Adam who is DigitalIndustry who is Maok who is Me who is married to Coinmama who's midget 10ft tall lesbian son is Quarkfx...it all makes sense now!!!!!!!!!!!!1

In this crazy world of unexpected things happening it is nice to know that we can all trust in one constant...that silvermetal gets stupider and stupider each day.

that is worth quoting. ha ha.

Thanks! The 3D Printer we are showcasing on the website right now is a very early prototype of the ISG 11 that we are releasing in 2 weeks.

We will have the chance to keep you updated on that matter, but we are releasing a brand new line of printers with very high print quality.

i'll be interested and check it out for sure - i know many people around the free world are interested in 3D printing.  : )

Hey, quick update, we have officially launched at Shopify www.ISG3D.com and the ShapeShift Button is now working to pay using QRK on the 3D printing webstore! We are releasing a new 3D printer in 1-2 weeks and more products will be uploaded soon!

this is great i wish you well !

This coin is a little above the geometrical mean of the highest and the lowest price Smiley

Mean is mean although it is not arithmetical.

Most of the top coins did not exist a year ago. Quark's not the only old coin getting pushed down by newer coins.

Pushed down...uhm....who cares about coinmarketcap? Point is that Quark has ANY social infrastructure at all. In the end DigitalIndustry will have all Quarks on his computer sending it back and forth from one wallet to another....

Exactly, however speaking of marketcap it is still huge for a coin without development \ infrastructure \ community. So expect at least 10x price decline in the coming months.

Why does a coin that works perfectly need continual development for no other sake than moronic 'investors' that think adding useless 'features' make a currency system function better.  99% of the 'features' that pop up on new coins are all just silly gimics to woo morons.

What new features have been added to cash in the last 1000 years?  USA currency functions pretty good at its job and to think they 'just' started adding the new feature of colours other than green to their bills after hundreds of years.  What you mean cash doesn't have DarkNodes (that don't work)!!!!!! The horror....the horror....

I like that Quark is one of the few coins that keeps on more or less trucking along without a lot of bullshit dev team crap.  ixCoin is another coin like that.  That is actually the idealistic nature of a cryptocurrency...just to exist...decentralized...with no bullshit self appointed foundations/boards etc whose only job is to self congratulate themselves for doing nothing of value.

People just need to start doing things with their Quark, not just stuffing them up their ass hoping they turn into gold and diamonds if they hold them up there long enough.

I'd like to see a resurgence of the older coins like Quark over this current crop of blatant ICO scam coin of the week etc but who really cares at the end of the day, I mined most of my Quark and bought the rest below 100sat so I want Quark to succeed in the long term more out of favoritism than any need for more profit rewards.

As the only Quark critic who actually makes arguments with any actual thought behind them, QuarkFX is right, the disproportionate amount of mining at coinmine pool is an issue of concern.  The alternate pool suggested by Max on the quark forum looks like an awful alternative since it is a P2Pool so you likely get paid your portion on each block found...which at 1 QRK...would amount to serious dust once divided up between users.  People should solo mine, just like how people should eat healthy and exercise...alas people just do what is easiest.  I'd like to see a higher performance cpu miner be built into the wallet instead of the old low performance miner and have a big START SOLO MINING button right on the top menu bar not tucked into a sub-menu.  Big Bold...One click...have a green light icon light up and show hashing speed so people know something is working...done.  So easy even silvermetal could maybe do it...

great post Hilux74, I wish there was a like button on here  Smiley

Yes solo mining should done by anyone using the wallet, at the minimum speed it shouldn't bother them in the background. Just to remind everyone of the solo mining contenst going on at: http://quarktalk.org/pages/mining_jackpot/ Good luck!

That is actually the idealistic nature of a cryptocurrency...just to exist....decentralized

Actually the idealistic nature of cryptocurrencies is to be used and not to exist solely. Creating a currency is more than just creating some colorful papers - it´s about creating an infrastructure & a community that uses it. You can´t just magically divide a token from its use. However, of course I agree that the adoption is not a technical issue. Transparent development - or in this case: development AT ALL - can spark buzz and serve as incentive to create a community.

And of course there is need for development. Currencies have features, because they are directly tied to the medium in which they are transferred. Cash for instance can be passed from one person to another without these persons (or a third party) necessarily knowing the identity of the other person. With electronic money this isn´t possible. With cash you need to wait for the change, with EC you can simply use a password check or signature and with several newer cards you can simply swipe. Most of that does not concern Quarks core development, but this is THE ONLY THING that makes a currency special.

If it was only about the core, then there is no scarcity at all. I can fork and create the next senseless fork of Quark and there you have it. Scarcity is created by making this currency special, otherwise there can´t be any value.

And also from a technical side: development is needed to take care of the hashrate issue. Repeating the existence of a "funky solo mining competition" has no serious effects unless you´d bump up the reward MASSIVELY (like x100) and it isn´t sustainable because currently it does not finance itself. Right know bitinfochart counts 337,1M, of which Coinmine owns 321,3M - that´s the effect of paying some cents to people who bother to take part in a forum hosted contest. Beside that: Even with Bitcoin people and pools don´t mind passing 50% and - by doing so - effectively corrupting the assumed decentralization and trustworthiness of the currency. The logic of POW will always provide more incentives to mine on a pool unless you pay them not to do it. Solo mining is for idealist who are in love with their currency and want to support it. That´s cool - but that´s not what the grand majority of any currency using community will feel like any time. For a long time Bitcoin was like that, but the more it became mainstream and a business, the less people cared for stability. The prefer to receive higher rewards and I don´t know any business that prefers otherwise.

Hopefully, I must say, because money is not there to love, but to be used. It needs to be able to work by itself, not by the extensive effort of evangelists. That´s why PoW/PoS hybrids will eventually be more sustainable. Quark could have made this move, but there was/is no development activity and, of course, people who shouted that this would only be fancy features for investors who want high revenues.

I'd like to set up a campaign at PromoPlugs for Quark if anyone is willing to help fund the reward.

Its a social media Promotional tool.
It allows you to set up actions (Tweet, like, follow, etc) and then reward the participants that do them. Each action would be a submission into the raffle. At the end of the campaign a winner would be drawn!

For the readers who don't understand who is hilux and why he is drawing pictures at bitcointalk for me...hilux is best described here:

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=260031.msg9895334#msg9895334

Another thing about hilux is that he posts a lot in cryptsy in house-scam coin threads, like HBN and CAP.
Just read some of "iGotAids" posts about HBN and CAP:
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=522235.msg6767469#msg6767469
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=522235.msg6768861#msg6768861
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=637868.msg7117910#msg7117910

You only have to take a look at the avatar of Hilux...and you know to which club hilux belongs to (indeed the initial cryptsy scam groep).

Because Hilux is involved in so many cryptsy in house-scam coins....the following quote of him is maybe not so positive for Quark and maybe explains why Quark was listed at cryptsy so fast...(within one week after creation).

I have been with Quark since Day1.

Hilux74 is by the way not very original with his picture, even the text is a copy-paste:

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=461360.msg5136138#msg5136138

Also funny to read that Hilux74's chat buddies in the cryptsy chatbox thought "hilux74" = "igotspots" one year ago:

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=461360.msg5173404#msg5173404

This is most probably not true (they are most probably only friends/chat buddies and hilux likes some of his coins and igotspot's alter egos). The post however confirms hilux is a member of the cryptsy scam team.

@threedream, Max has other priorities. The last time I saw him active at bitcointalk was as user "8bitcoder":
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=483515.msg10554332#msg10554332

But as mentioned before, he is running and following too many threads at bitcointalk/reddit...skeincoin, joulecoin, zeta, woodcoin, qubitcoin, uno, myriad and many many more....so be patient Wink. He also needs time to clone new coins, and (insta)-mine them. Oh and he is very busy with merge mining his coins, because most of his coins (just like Quark) are missing hash power.
