Hi All

Apologies for the quietness, we've been in contact with Hashfast about the new delivery schedule over the last few days.

We'll have an updated delivery date from them on Tuesday and will share it as soon as we get it.

Has anybody tried to call them and ask them whats the situation?

Getting cold feet? Wink Why? You were cold blooded in the past.

it's indeed a sad situation for us all, including and probably first and foremost for bitmine.ch.

Everything depends on the delivery of the Avalon chips, but nobody knows if and when this will happen.

A price reduction, in what form ever, would be appropriate, because these machines now aren't the cashcows we paid for anymore.

You must be kidding!

From the start of this endeavor it was obv that the biggest risk would be a delay of avalon chips.

LOL! You seriously compare Bitmine to Hashfast?

Bitmine did just build Miners with Chips from Avalon. Any therefore it was obv that Avalon would be the biggest risk.

It was pure asshole bullshit imo to try to let Bitmine pay for the faults that were obv done by Avalon!

And regarding cold feet. I dont like the situation thats it.

And apart from that i think its pathetic to whine the whole day long about hashfast not communicating. But on the other hand not even once try to call them and ask them whats going on.

So i am asking: Has anybody called them?

Many. You won't get anything but legalese talk about how you agreed on the 31 Dec date, and that they are in line with that date.
If you tried to call before the delay to ask if they where on track, they would reply that everything was ok, blatantly lying.

My anger against what is wrong in the Bitcoin community is productive:

OK, so that maybe translates to: Shipping at 31 Dec and MPP kicks in 1st April.

And i would love to make you guys understand that there is no deadline for shipping the MPP. It could be April 2015 for what we know.

I speak fluent legalese.  It's my mother tongue.

This is plain English, not legalese:

3. DELIVERY AND QUANTITIES.
Guaranteed Baby Jet Delivery Dates – Batch 1.

All of the 550 Baby Jet units from Hashfast’s first production batch are guaranteed for delivery by December 31, 2013.

^^^This is a very simple sentence, easily comprehensible to even the thickest plank in the slow reader class.^^^

There is a subject (All of the 550 Baby Jet units from Hashfast’s first production batch) and a predicate (are guaranteed for delivery by December 31, 2013).

Nothing is ambiguous; no parsing is required.

How stupid must one be to believe that "All of the 550 Baby Jet units from Hashfast’s first production batch are guaranteed for delivery by December 31, 2013" is legalese?

It's not even written in a tiny font.  There is no excuse for such misrepresentation.  It's pure, fact-free FUD.

Number Two isn't an option until after Dec 31, the guaranteed delivery date, and only if HashFast then refuses to issue refunds.

The windows for shipping was October 20th-30th.  They didn't add the December 31st date to their Terms of Sale until a week after they started taking preorders.

I and many people were lied to and have sufficient reason to complain.  This is a U.S. company that is not above the law and must be held accountable for their wrong doing just like any other company that doesn't deliver.

It is not acceptable for a company to say everything is going to plan and then claim delays 2 days before they are supposed to start shipping.
It is not acceptable for a company to change their Terms of Sale and pretend like those revisions were made before the sales.
It is not acceptable for a company to be claimining to ship 3rd batch by December 15th so they can make new sales, while telling their 1st batch customers they'll get them sometime by December 31st.
It is not acceptable to promise frequent status updates and yet keep everyone in the dark.

To anyone looking into buying HF products: Don't do it.
Hashfast has fucked their customers.  Plain and simple.

When I ordered my Baby jet, I expected that I would get it worst case Dec. 31st (low 500 order number).  The wording was very clear.  Obviously the sooner the better, but it was clear they hedging when they changed the wording to "anticpiated" ship date begining blah blah blah.

It was clear they were trying to hit the same window as Bitfury and KnC but would be late heck... they hadn't even taped out when they went on sale.  I figured I would be getting 4 more hash modules 90-days later due to difficulty growth.  So far everything looks to be going according to plan.

Icebreaker, stop spreading this bullshit.

These terms were not on there on August 8th.

Lets be clear, there were no guaranteed delivery dates. There were implied delivery dates of shipping batch 1 to start 20th October, batch 2 mid November.

Dates related to when a refund would be available if machines were not shipped.

Good question, that's March 2014, I ordered with my own and my friend's money.
You know what, the law said you must clearly show your return policy on your order, so this is the point we can have a lawyer to handle this BS!

The windows for THE ANTICIPATED BEGINNING OF shipping was October 20th-30th.

This isn't rocket science; you just want to manufacture an artificial legalistic-sounding reason to complain.

No reasonable person expected Batch One to be done shipping 10 days after the earliest possible date.

I fixed it for you anyway.   Wink  Kiss

Except:

1) That text was NOT there when I made my order when HashFast first started selling BabyJets. It was added LATER when they added the mining protection program.

2) It conflicts with pretty much ALL their advertising and e-mails that claim a shipping date of between Oct 20 - 30.

3) I've talked to a lawyer that specializes in consumer issues. Since the shipping date is considered ambiguous (was it Oct 20-30 or Dec 31?) a judge would have to (legally) side with the customer and he would have to give him a refund.

Now that law may be hard to enforce without someone stepping up and suing HashFast, but the point is they CAN NOT deny a refund for a product they have not yet shipped.

Now Icebreaker, lets see if you remember correctly... which one of the following was on Hashfasts website?

a) Shipping starts October 20th -30th.
b) We anticipate shipping to start October 20th to 30th.  Hueueueue.
