So can you believe that Eduardo was bragging about buying back all of hf for a mere 5 million dollars through a Venuzuelan company/front, letting the creditors bicker and fight over it, while he got all the chips and is hashing.   HA HA HA.  He would have screwed his customers to the very end, raking in millions while they keep on exhausting themselves in endless legal battles...  what a fucked up and sad episode for bitcoin...   Shocked

The creditors aren't bickering or fighting over anything.  The committee representing the creditors is very much unified in holding the people responsible for this mess accountable.

This is better then the norm and good news. Thanks.

More like a bunch of scammers are running very scared right now because they are starting to realize that lying under oath in a federal case gets prison 100% of the time.    Even that 87 year old woman did time for lying to federal investigators (not even a court).     Guess you are getting a little nervous huh?   Thought this would just all go away?   Too bad.   The truth will come out and people who embezzled money will lose everything including their freedom.

I just received in the mail a document which appears to be from the Chairman for the Official Committee of Unsecured Creditors. It proposes the hiring of a particular legal firm. I just wanted to check with you all to make sure this is legit. Also since I received this document can I assume that I am actually on the creditors list? (I will still check with PACER once my registration info arrives in the mail)
Can you post a scan of the document or PM it to me?   The chairman of the committee did not mail anything suggesting any law firm and the committee voted a couple weeks ago appointing a lawyer to represent creditors so this does not make sense.  You can see that a few pages ago in this thread.  Perhaps you are misinterpreting it.  Please post or PM me the letter and I will tell you what it means.

As pmorici says, the document is from Baker, so I don't think there is a need to scan it (there is a LOT of pages there).

Audio from the Hashfast meeting of creditors, Simon and Monica testifying for 3.5 hours under oath.

I've molested myself through listening to (almost) all of this. If I've understood it correctly, all really valuable intellectual property (chip design) is held by separate company, HashFast LLC, which rented it for a fee to HashFast Technologies, which collected the money and organized the production. Even if HashFast Technologies get's in the hands of the creditors, we only get the stash of already produced chips to sell them and divide the money from that sale, and Eduardo + Simon keep the control of the other company, HashFast LLC, and can do with the chip design whatever they want. Is this the correct understanding of what is happening?

We will get our hands on the Delaware LLC.
One of the most interesting parts was the new board (and substrate) design, that would allow for a pricing of less than half of the current in hand cost of 0.78$/GH. 0.30$/GH is probably around or lower than the production cost Chinese products have.

My anger against what is wrong in the Bitcoin community is productive:

You understand Hashfast's opinion on the matter correctly, yes.  That doesn't mean they are correct though, patience, patience.

go away.   stop spreading hate and lies.    If you had any facts, you would post them instead of making new accounts to spread bs.

If Hashfast LLC, actually owned the intellectual property, it would have had to have been funded by EQUITY dollars of the investors with enough money to fully pay for that IP.    I highly doubt it was.   It is more likely that the creditors of Hashfast Technologies funded it and there is no judge in the world that would see these as separate.    This is not a worry.

It was to popular so Dropbox rate limited it.  If anyone has a server they can post it on I'd be happy to get them the file but I don't have a good place to host this.

I am at the US Trustee's office for the continued 341a hearing. Our lawyer scared Simon so much last week that he is refusing to appear. He and Eduardo are hiring personal lawyers.  Interestingly, Simon has hired a lawyer Ray Gallo aggressively pushed the committee to select.

Either he/she would be a very good lawyer then, or...

Well there are only like 4 or 5 lawyers in all of San Francisco right?  So what choice did he have!

Edit: My bad there are 17,000 Lawyers in SF and several thousand more in the surrounding area.

(Unrelated, but always interesting to remember).
