ETH already has half of the worth of BTC on the market. And it have been only a year. I think it can overtake BTC in a couple of months.
Etherum does have a significant rise rate to date. The etherum price increases over time, but in fact it may not be able to compete with the value of bitcoin. It still takes a long time for etherum to approach popularity levels such as bitcoin. I think maybe etherum takes 2 to 4 years to reach a level like bitcoin.

I don't think that Ethereum has the chance to overtake Bitcoin in the future. Right now, I cannot do any transactions in etherdelta even though I keep on increasing my price gas. I dunno know if there is a problem with etherdelta or becauae Ethereum is congested again. Ethereum has lots of problems just like Bitcoin. Investors will choose an altcoin in the future that can resolve those problems.

In the next year ETH will overtake BTC as the number 1 cryptocurrency.  I would unload your bitcoin while you still can.
What you say may happen, in fact the service provided by ethereum is better than bitcoin, but it goes back to its own users, users also see from bitcoin history and more trust in bitcoin than ethereum and I further support the bitcoin that is number 1.

Bitcoin problem is scalability, so it will certainly not be overtake by a coin that isn't.

Ethereum isn't scalable, so it has ZERO chance to take over bitcoin without quick improvement.

Precisely, no one will say how it will be in the future, but at the moment bitcoin is suffering a drawdown! Perhaps, of course, this is due to the fact that South Korea is preparing a bill that will prohibit all cryptocurrency trading!

It won't happen. ETH is still quite far to reach or take over bitcoin. It has a lot of supply compare to bitcoin and even it will reach bitcoin's market cap the price of ETH is still not going to be the same with bitcoin. There's a conflict between the price, supply and demand of a coin and that's what we need to consider about bitcoin. ETH is a good choice for adding it to portfolio and we all know about it.

It is possible that Ethereum matches Bitcoin 1:1 or comes close to that for a brief period in time. Hell I will even concede that Ethereum may overtake Bitcoin for a couple of days but that will be that. Bitcoin will reflip the script and will never look back. The only way Eth passes Btc though is if Eth is pumping and Btc is dumping other than these two extremes I don't see it happening.

if the volume of market ethhereum is almost over with bitcoin, but when it comes to price I think it's still long for ethereum to catch up with bitcoin, because the price difference is very far

I hope so too. Although still closely ethereum large distances with bitcoin certainly ethereum has high prospects in the future, and of course, so these coins generate huge fortunes for long-term investment.

Let's see, we are already in 2018 when the OP said in the last year .. that next year Ethereum will replace Bitcoin / overtake the position of bitcoin.
I personally think that although Ethereum looks so good on a development of the price & looks showing the best side (having a lot of pumping) trying to get close with Bitcoin, I think that's still a small possibility. And even if it's really can be replace a Bitcoin, I think it takes quite a very long time, till many people would be more close to Ethereum than Bitcoin, and Ethereum is the most popular than Bitcoin in the world.

These days Eth took up trend so long, and today it's getting down trend. Be carefully when you hold ETH for short term. If you hold long term then no problem Smiley

It is not possible that Ethereum will overtake Bitcoin because bitcoin is already have a solid foundation and greater community that Ethereum. Bitcoin is also the first and the mother of all crypto. One reason why it cannot overtake is because of the supply, Bitcoin has a very limited supply than Ethereum which make it more scarce than Ethereum.

I don't think it'll ever be possible that Eth overtakes BTC. BTC is to strong and they have different features. It's like if we'd say that silver would overtake gold. Well, not gonna happen

I believe there are no chances for ETH to take over BTC
98% of people even dont know ETH exists
Haha, you're right, and that's exactly the main reason for ETH to overtake Bitcoin. Because ETH has great popularization reserve whereas BTC not.

It will take a lot of time. Bitcoin is in the market for a lot of time. Ethereum coin is new to market. To get over bitcoin it needs a lot of time. If we see the price graph of Bitcoin then it will be clear to us that the price is rising day by day that is not in a single day. So for ethereum, it also need a lot of time.

I think you are the one that still didnt know about ethereum. Lol.  98% people still dont know about ethereum?  Are you kidding me dude. Just where are you see the fact is.  This why people like you came here and tell us some jokes about it. Ethereum is a number 2 top in the world and yet you say only 2% people in the world knew about it. Haha. That was hilarous dude.

I really doubt Eth reaches BTC ever. I think ETH will have a great year but don't see it passing BTC.

It's possible that etherium may overtake bitcoin but IMO its not wise to convert all your bitcoin to etherium. It's always good to have a back up plan

May be but since no one can predict the price of bitcoin then it will be safe to not unload all of our bitcoin. Bitcoin will always be the number one cryptocurrency , I don't think that ETH will be able to overtake bitcoin. People are thrust bitcoin rather than ETH.
