My assumption is that the project was not abandoned, but rather sold to someone who is not capable of running it. If everything was really on autopilot, I think everything would collapse very quickly and it wouldn't last this long. It seems logical to me that the owner decided to get out of the business after about 10 years, but it turned out the way it did.

If that is the case then I hope the buyer would introduce themselves here, tell us about their vision for the next 10years and how they plan to resolve any ongoing issues.

If there was any intention for the possible new owner to do that, it would have already happened. If I am right with my assumption, then the whole essence of the secret sale was that everyone thinks that nothing has really changed - in other words, if someone bought the business, they wanted to buy the reputation as well.

Be that as it may, I think it is unrealistic to expect that this service will exist in 10 years - let alone that someone has plans that go that far in advance.

no it's not a deserted platform, they are still opening new sport betting markets and paying winnings of bets once they are settled.

Maybe that part is automated, requiring no human intervention? Many sport betting sites do it, so i would assume they do it as well. I mean, after 10 years of existence, you'd think they'd make it easier for them, especially since the high traffic of the website.

Do you have any news about this or is it just your assumption? Why would the original team of freebitco would want to sell the business that is giving them a lot of revenue? Unless the freebitco owners have a very valid reason, they should not be selling this site. And also the person/team who bought this business must have paid a huge amount, how can they just let go this business without getting the return on their investments

I guess they will start processing the withdrawals after the 10th January of 2025.

I've tried to look into the address from which my BTC withdrawal came, but seems they use a router or some sort of service, and i didn't have too much time to dig into it deep.

their hot wallet is different from your personal address. It also a different generation of address. Their newest hot wallet is at least a seg wit address..

None of us have any idea about the current Bitcoin cold wallet address of Freebitco team. However, Freebitco team had kept BTC (also some ETH) on their FUN token cold wallet address. It was on ERC20 network. The amount was worth $114 million during that time (six months ago). They had taken out the funds from that address on the next month, and now we don't have any idea about their cold wallet address for Bitcoin.

BTW, we have noticed that Freebitco team is gathering the small deposited funds of the users in a single wallet address, then they are using that funds to process the withdrawal of the users nowadays.

While you might be right, this is just speculation. Communication has never been their strong point although it was a lot better when TheQuin was still working for them as he was pretty responsive on this forum when there were issues/complaints. The site might have changed ownership and maybe in the background they are working on fixing the issues, but we can only guess at this point.

Back read few pages on this thread. You will notice multiple issue about delay withdrawal and WoF rewards distribution. It seems that you are new in the forum and never aware that Freebitco.in reputation is already not that great with their current situation.

No man will set up a business as big as freebitco and run it alone, even if he's a developer, he can't develop or write every single code on his own, it's not only tiring but exhausting, and writing code does not require doing it under any form of pressure of fatigue, as doing this may result in alot of errors that could turn out very dangerous for the platform.

So, what I am saying is that, if the real owner(s) of the platform is not feeling well, there must be other people around who have contributed, and maybe still contributing to the development of that platform, this people can run the platform at its uptimum level making sure users do not experience all of this issues we are experiencing at the moment.

Well, all this is nothing but speculations, we can never know, until someone (an insider) comes on to tell us all what exactly is going on, or what has gone wrong.

If your withdrawal is flagged to be reviews manually, it no longer matters you requested an instant withdrawal or a slow withdrawal.
You have to wait and there's nothing else you can do.

There are many issues going on with freebitco, but as far as I know, there is no problem with bitcoin withdrawals.
Bitcoin withdrawals are delayed only if they are flagged to be reviewed manually.

I've seen other exchanges in the past use cold wallets to remotely store crypto.  Then, when someone wants to make a truly huge withdraw, there is an inevitable delay while funds are carefully transferred from a cold to hot wallet.

I was just looking through my old faucet collections (on another site)from early 2020 and it was daily 22k sats in a faucet.  Which seems very nice, I doubt anywhere is giving that much to the likes of myself now because the price rose but also that is just a very nice offer I was given as a new member.

 Just saying if you dont like this site and you do bet theres plenty of offers out there to try if you want.   Good or bad this particular one has been going in its particular way for years, but for some people there are definitely going to be other sites that are better suited.  I was lucky to try the whole variety since BTC started, but I rarely deserved as much as I got so Im very lucky to have those old bonus offers when BTC was small.  I bet there are still good ones out there desperate for good customers, no need to moan exclusively about this site if you haven't tried them all yet.

I am inclined to agree with Fivestar4everMVP that most of the features of the freebitcoin site are running in automatic mode. Obviously, something happened behind the scenes with the freebitcoin team, but even if there is a new owner, don't you find it strange that they don't say anything to the community? At least they could have published an announcement and explained the whole situation. In this case, the community would have fewer questions and speculations.

Well, obviously this is pure speculation for which we have no proof, but what you say, Fivestar4everMVP, reminded me of the case of Lightlord's casinos, where every time he got sick or went on holiday the casinos had problems. They were basically run by him and a couple of employees, with only him having access to the money.

Either way, freebitco.in is a botched job. Whether the people who ran the casino before are still running it, so you can't understand why they are running it so badly now, or whether they are new investors who have spent the money to buy it but not to run it properly.
