hi all,

how can i configure the S1 to shutdown if a critical temperature reaches ...
i dont trust the units and i cant watch them 24/7 .

there is a command --bitmain-temp  but how can i use it?
I cant find anything at the webinterface.

thx
Wurzelsepp

I don't have an answer but what is considered "critical temperature"? Weather is getting warm here and mine are running at 47c... I might add a fan pulling from the front, but the most recommended brand seems discontinued.

if you have only 1 pool configured add it to the line of the password like Password: x --bitmain-temp 65

Transactions must be included in a block to be properly completed. When you send a transaction, it is broadcast to miners. Miners can then optionally include it in their next blocks. Miners will be more inclined to include your transaction if it has a higher transaction fee.

It won't work unless you use the custom cgminer build that I showed you.

Is this fan good for the front of these? (Ie, to pull air from opposite side of OEM fan)

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16835705040

From what I've seen this looks like good bang for the buck, right?
Not bad. I usually buy fans between 110-130 cfm though. Gives more pulling power.

Is there a particular brand you recommend?

Just found an awesome deal on Newegg... 120mm Bgears case fan, they have 103 CFM rating, might be loud (35dba) but I don't care about noise at these prices. Promo code pricing and a sale, I got 5 of them for $26.95!! What I will probably do is swap these onto my blades to replace most of the array of Coolermaster ~70CFM SickleFlow fans I have running, and then I'll put those old CoolerMaster fans on my Antminers pulling side. My rack of blades seems to be suffering with the weather getting warm, or maybe just length of time/use, but I'd like to push more air across them for low dollars before I start messing around with thermal compound, and this will free up a few of my other fans to throw on the Antminers, at least temporarily worth a shot.

Hi, I bought a PWM fan Coolink SWIF2 120P to be added to the S1, but the connector on the balde is different, and not fit. Which fan should I buy compatible with the S1 PWM connector.

Thanks in advance W_M

The S1 uses non-standard connectors.  Clip one side of the plastic guard with wire-cutters and plug it in anyways.

mine is running steady at 200ghs.
Added an extra fan, cut 2 cables per fan, the control cables so they run at 100%
Added plexi, turned it upside down. somehow this took away 3°C
Running smooth @ 39&40°C

Does putting the case around the S1 help in any way. I seem to notice it colder on the top of the heatsync and hot air blowing out the proper sides.

I still have default fans and would like to get the air to where it's needed to try and  keep the fans from cranking up. It's still on my wishlist to quell the ant miners screams.

Like the info address for potential tips Wink

I have one unit that is not mining.  It sees no mining chains.  I get none of those lines of oooooooooooooooooooo on the status page.  What could cause that?

that is a common thing with ssh connections
that key is so that the ssh server knows that you are who you claim to be besides just having the password

Tip:

If you haven't upgraded your CG miner to 4.2.2a I HIGHLY suggest you do.  I did 24 hours ago, and my HW error rate is 60% lower, and temps 2 deg C lower as well.

Don't know what changed, but I like it!

I followed the directions below TO THE LETTER and it worked like a charm!

The system/software field will never update.  I asked this question a few pages back.  You can verify the version by typing a command in the SSH shell.  cgminer -V, I think.

It's getting warm out here (almost 80 degree F) so I don't think just the open window is going to work to keep these things cool.  I have 8 in a row and the warmest has hit 62 degrees.  I read that you should keep them below 60 and definitely below 70.  Are these numbers accurate or should I add some a/c asap?
