btmine send me today dhl number (new tplink board)
There are several different types of Bitcoin clients. The most secure are full nodes like Bitcoin Core, which will follow the rules of the network no matter what miners do. Even if every miner decided to create 1000 bitcoins per block, full nodes would stick to the rules and reject those blocks.

FWIW, I've been running at 1550 MHz for days now, no problems, no high temps, solid as a rock.  It gets about 7 extra MH/s.  No, I've not done the Kill-A-Watt test.  Just a data point for the adventurous of you out there.

Since finding the fuse problem and repairing all my single fuses, all modules have been working flawlessly.  I like the unit - just wish it used less power.  And I certainly wish BTMine had been smarter and more pro-active about their QA and packing, as well as their service relations.  Luckily, at least for me, I was able to trouble-shoot and fix everything AND didn't have much shipping damage.

Thanks for sharing this information.  Did you replace the single fuse with another fuse or did you bypass them with silver wire?

I agree "And I certainly wish BTMine had been smarter and more pro-active about their QA and packing, as well as their service relations."  It is a lot of work to get an response and any satisfaction on problems, but I am glad they do eventually respond to persistence.

I still didn't replace the bypass with fuses, so I'm still running a strand of aluminum wire from the original fix.  ;-)

For anyone still wanting the refs for the fuse bypassing resurrection (went from 40 GH/s back up to 220+ GH/s):

finally got my unit working 100%

has the caps professionally replaced with much better caps than what was there.  had him solder in the cap by the data cable on a nice angle to prevent knocking it off in the future.

also bought new 40 pin cables and i'm using them instead of the rainbow ones they sent.

Now it works great.  very happy especially after getting almost 50% back for the bullshit we had to endure

Hi,

My MinerNo2 Stock PSUs @ 1300 Freq, recently started dropping hash rate down to almost 0 then went back to 190Ghz. Dropped like this a few times and finally today temperature went really high upto 70C and hash rate dropped to half speed around 95ghz and fan pushing air out stopped too.
Switched off and replaced one of the stock PSU with a 1000W EVGA PSU 80+amps single rail.
Switched back ON and still same 95Ghz or so and 1 fan still don't work.

I have checked the FUSEs on all the modules and all are good.
Looks like 1 blade is totally dead - miners 9-16 :-(

Your second blade is not hashing - if the 2nd stock PSU is really fine, then maybe a power issue from the connector board?  If you have a PCIe swapped with the CPU plug, that can also do that.  Luckily if it's a BTMine unit, there's protection and all you have to do is get them in the right connectors and you're good to go.  My guess is that both stock PSUs died, one more convincingly than the other.  If you have another high-watt PSU, I'd try plopping that in place of the remaining stock PSU.

Hi Twib2,

Thanks for the info. checked the pcie and cpu cables are in the correct sockets. may be the psu.
I'll try another 1000w psu in the morning.

i agree its probably PSU.  I'd inspect the data cables too.  Mine has very small cuts in them and this was the culprit after replacing missing caps.

also, can someone explain why my hash rate listed at my pool isnt what's listed in my cgminer status?

Interesting - what pool?  Most take some time to settle down (especially slush), but that's probably not what you're asking about.  The other thing is stales - for some reason I have noticed that some pools have higher reject and stale rates than others.  FWIW, I'm using btcguild for my btc mining and coinex switchpool for my alts and both show comparable to my cgminer.

also, can someone explain why my hash rate listed at my pool isnt what's listed in my cgminer status?

Interesting - what pool?  Most take some time to settle down (especially slush), but that's probably not what you're asking about.  The other thing is stales - for some reason I have noticed that some pools have higher reject and stale rates than others.  FWIW, I'm using btcguild for my btc mining and coinex switchpool for my alts and both show comparable to my cgminer.

Interesting - ppcoin is known for a very low stale rate, so that shouldn't be it, though I don't know much about ecoining.com...   .  Anything interesting in your logs or API log?

I think it's ok now. The reporting hash rate at the pool sure moves a lot. Maybe bc I'm using wifi.

The signal is at 90%. I'll hard wire one day

Hi Guys.

I've replaced the 2nd psu. still not luck. checked the connectors. found that the 1st psu cpu connector was slightly loose. pushed in and much better as the 2nd fan also started to work. however, only the other blade was now working.
switched off and replaced 2nd psu to stock.

Now it don't hash at all. no info for fans or anything. any ideas ? Im think its the controller board.

Hi Twib2,

Thanks for the info. checked the pcie and cpu cables are in the correct sockets. may be the psu.
I'll try another 1000w psu in the morning.

[quote author=twib2 link=topic=379819.msg5149681#msg5149681 date=1392416768]
Your second blade is not hashing - if the 2nd stock PSU is really fine, then maybe a power issue from the connector board?  If you have a PCIe swapped with the CPU plug, that can also do that.  Luckily if it's a BTMine unit, there's protection and all you have to do is get them in the right connectors and you're good to go.  My guess is that both stock PSUs died, one more convincingly than the other.  If you have another high-watt PSU, I'd try plopping that in place of the remaining stock PSU.

[quote author=docsham link=topic=379819.msg5149377#msg5149377 date=1392415524]

Hi,

Swapped, data cables, then the controller board. still not hashing. sounds like it is trying to as the fans speed up slightly every 2-3 secs.

tried reflashing. rebooting etc.

still 0 hash.

any ideas please ?
