Now New problem I purchased 2 coolmax PSU and they are rated for 750w @57a and for some reason they are not powering up when connected to the power distribution board. Does both PSU have to match for it to work? are the 2 6 pins are inter changeable? Not sure what's going wrong but it does not power up. I can do the paperclip trick and it runs but it will not power the blade. I'm halfway there just need to get power to the other blade. Anyone know this answer?

If you have any of the PCIe/CPU plugs swapped, then your unit will not start.  Luckily, that particular problem is well-protected, and there is no damage.  So, check that you have the right plugs in the right places.  At first, I did that twice while swapping power supplies, but now it's 2nd nature.  See my earlier post with pics of what should go where at: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=379819.msg4557614#msg4557614

The network tries to produce one block per 10 minutes. It does this by automatically adjusting how difficult it is to produce blocks.

I could tip .1btc if someone would like to fix that through teamviewer.

I would give more but I spent all my btc's in that rig  Roll Eyes
I also had trouble with the wifi, pools were switching to failover, connection lost at random moments etc.
Suppose you can't use it without wifi? It should work fine then.
I actually bought an extra LAN switch for the miners, before I received them.
Read from this thread, that the onboard wifi wouldn't work correctly, but tried it anyway Smiley
The problem was with the power consumption I think, ethernet card and wifi together would draw more power, than the control board is able to supply.

Ordered 1/7, received unit Monday 1/20. Blades were coming loose but once everything was tightened down, it started right up and has been running great.

Soooo I went to fry's got a single rail 750w 56v and it spins the fan then quits on me. Does this mean that the 56 is not strong enough to power one blade and that super jet fan that comes with the miner? Does anyone know what I can get from frys that will get this thing to run.

2. I tried to connect it to my raspberry Pi and the Pi is giving me 100% error. Does anyone know the command for the Pi to see the CGminer running. I know that I can add it via that page but have no clue how to get there.

So far this machine has been a headache. I wish they would have tested it.

On top of that I can't connect to the TP Link card. I have no clue what's going on and I'm real close to getting real mad at the people that made this. I had good words for them but I'm really loosing faith. The only thing i can depend on is that the people in this forum has been great. Thanks for the helpful tips. I'm just getting close to the end of my rope.

I found this video very helpful, its the same interface

10-12 days seems about on par with what's been happening lately.

Can anyone confirm or deny if I should just trash the included PSU's in the US?

They are 170-230Vac you need 220v connection for them. See pictures few pages back.

They will work fine as long as they don't blow up.

Now New problem I purchased 2 coolmax PSU and they are rated for 750w @57a and for some reason they are not powering up when connected to the power distribution board. Seriously, 60a on a single rail is needed for reliable power for each blade.

EDIT: This is the cheapest PSU I have found that works (currently hashing away) http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817153174.

If you setup wifi it will only work after you unplug the ethernet cable --> TPlink will route to the wifi and connect pools OK
You cannot access the WebUI configuration page over wifi or it wont answer to ping. Doesnt matter if you setup wifi in LAN firewall or WAN side of firewall. WebUI is protected from wifi side in firewall settings of TPlink. IF you dont know this much i suggest DO NOT GO MESS WITH THEM. Do not enable disable things you dont know. You will lose access to your unit like some ppl in here did.

Here are setup pictures. My units are in private network so IP range is 10.x.x.x firewalled  Shocked

My LAN is setup with static IP 10.250.1.202 which i can use and config the Unit.
gateway 10.250.1.1
private DNS server 10.250.1.1
you should use 8.8.8.8 it's googles DNS will always work if gateway is correct.

My wifi is connected to private wifi (about 1500$ Cisco industrial lap station) wifi is setup with DHCP so the IP comes from there.

Once i pull off the ethernet cable the TPlink will automatically switch to wifi and the unit will keep hashing over wifi. But like told in this thread before TPlink wifi is highly unstable and will failover alot, you will lose hashing power. I do not know if units some are diffrent, but i dont trust the wifi. I did testing for 8 hours and i constantly kept hearing from fans how the unit did lose connection to the pool also this was seen from hashing power in the pool. Like previously suggested in this thread if you must use wifi you should get wifi-gaming adapter and connect the wifi trough ethernet port. This wifi is not stable.

Today i did some PSU upgrading with 1200w FSP Aurum single rail psus. Now this unit got 2400w worth 12v total 200A. Time to put in some torture testing. Outside temp is here is -19c today btw Wink

Ordered 14 units on 1/9, received 7 yesterday and expect 7 more today. I highly recommend taking these apart and checking for loose wires and screws. I'm pretty sure they dropped these into their boxes from 6 feet up and then threw a handful of screws in afterwards.

All 7 units came online and 6 of them hash above 200GH/s with one hashing at ~180GH/s. One of them seems to have trouble keeping the fans going and it keeps overheating - which is frustrating. I've tried using the --avalon-fan 20-80 setting without success. The fans seem to just stop until the unit gets super hot and then come online for a minute or two and then stop again. Here's a pic. Click it to hear the noise on youtube.

They're all using the stock PSUs on my 240v 30a circuits. They draw exactly 1000w each.

Very cool setup there.
I'm with you on the packing and screws. All my units have had loose screws in parcel. Check your cgminer api log from there you can see if all chips are hashing. Half the speed means 5 chips are cold.

5 Cold chips in blade unit. I will try to bypass fuses maybe tomorrow. This is old picture i didnt take the unit apart today.

just got my miner today i ordered on the 8th

working very well Smiley, but loud...

do the temperature control parameters override the fan  settings? can i kill my miner by turning the fans to a too low speed? is it possible to run the chips safely at 1425 or 1450 with the stock psu's?

you using the included psu?  are you in the US?

I'm using the included psu's and I'm mainland EU.

I also have another issue: the room I would like to put them in has ungrounded wall sockets, and the first time i plugged it in there i got a small static shock from the miner so i quickly put it into my grounded plugs in the kitchen but the sound of the fans over dinner is unbearable...

can i just use the ungrounded sockets?

I am glad you got your unit. Unfortunately, the difference between a mining start date of 1/14 and 1/22 is the likely difference between profitability, unless you are able to sell your device at some stage.

Finally got tracking number.  The 22nd their time. 12 days after order date. 4 days after promised ship date.  Only positive is he accepts PayPal.
I'm in the same case... but it was hard to have it, had to fill a dispute in paypal.

By the was what is the status in dhl tracking website?

Mine is : "shipping info received"
I'm afraid that I have to wait some days more for pickup...

yea me too.  these guys are full of crap i think with their logistic story.  its been 22 hours their time that the package tracking info was received.  Seems like a long time to not have any movement.

i cant wait for this to be over and find a new seller.  this has been BRUTAL.

does anyone have tracking for their package that they can paste here that includes "shipping info received" so we can see how long it takes to get movement.

Anyone know how to force the fans to run all the time independently of temperature?

Try --avalon-fan 100, if it revs down. Try --avalon-fan 0 instead.

do I have to open some ports on my router ?

I'm now connected trhough wifi, and I can "apply change" without the forever wheel ^^

but cgminer status is still

[Firmware Version] => 20130821
cgminer-70bc62c
luci-d854edc+
cgminer-openwrt-packages-800cc58
Socket connect failed: Connection refused

Anyone know how to force the fans to run all the time independently of temperature?

Try --avalon-fan 100, if it revs down. Try --avalon-fan 0 instead.

Thanks, I tried both - 0 seems to spin the Fan2 @ '240' and Fan3 @ '480'. The other miners show '2880' for both fans. Any ideas on how to make these fans go all the time?

Maybe starts form value 20 not 0 and it could be reverse so 80 is 20% fan speed. After setting value give it minute or 2 to setup.

https://en.bitcoin.it/wiki/Avalon
--avalon-fan <arg>  Set fanspeed percentage for avalon, single value or range (default: 20-100)

I have a unit that works reverse:

--avalon-fan 80 = 20% fan speed if i put value 20 it's 80% fan speed.
other units
--avalon-fan 20 = 20% fan speed
