Anyone know how to force the fans to run all the time independently of temperature?
Try --avalon-fan 100, if it revs down. Try --avalon-fan 0 instead. Thanks, I tried both - 0 seems to spin the Fan2 @ '240' and Fan3 @ '480'. The other miners show '2880' for both fans. Any ideas on how to make these fans go all the time? If you remove PWM signal cable (yellow or blue) from the fan and leave red and black. It should run at full speed. |

I think it will solve that sh***...
Is it connected to internet? Try "Network" -> "Diagnostics" -> "Ping". If its connected, double check the pool info. Don't leave the password blank even if the pool doesnt require password. |

1hour 15mins with 1500 OC temps under control and unit has 2x 1200w psu. Dont know how much it drains frogot the meter.  |

Cool, matches what I'm seeing, though I'm using the newest ckolvas firmware running 3.9.0 cgminer. Note that my firmware doesn't give me fan speeds, but I'm not sure if it's my unit or the alternate firmware, but because of that I'd not recommend upgrading firmware - no need. |

I have 1 unit with 0rpm info all cables connected. Will investigate more in future. In the same unit --avalon-fan goes reverse. |

Has anyone had any success overclocking in increments smaller than 100? For example, 1410? I don't want to jump to 1500 right away since people are reporting blown SMD fuses at 1500. I've noticed that cgminer won't start if you don't have any valid pools specified. For example, I mistakenly entered stratum+tcp://mining.bitcoin.cz:3333 instead of stratum+tcp://stratum.bitcoin.cz:3333, and the cgminer API log would keep getting stuck on "Socket connect failed: Connection refused" until I figured it out. "Socket connect failed: Connection refused" just means that cgminer isn't starting properly. If all else fails, try the reset button on the TP-link board, or there is also a factory reset option in the UI, which I think resets the IP to 192.168.0.100, and you'll have to re-enter the chip frequency, chip count, etc. If you still really really need a configuration backup of a working machine, PM me (not sharing publicly since the configuration backup has my worker info). If you're running into problems because you want to get wifi working, you're on your own. I'd recommend sticking to hardwired for now. |

Can anyone write a guide on how to use this through USB on a computer? Do we bypass the ethernet card all together, and hook the blue USB plug right into a laptop? Is this right: 1. Unplug the blue USB plug from the network card. 2. Plug it into my laptop. 3. Download http://zadig.akeo.ie/4. Change the drivers to use WinUSB. 5. Download CGMiner, enter my info, and run it? Will it connect to the miner? 6. Is this reversible, if I get another network card from BTminer? Any steps would be appreciated! I ordered a new network card from BTmine. I'll mine with my laptop for now. Does anyone know what changes I'd make to switch back to the TPlink? |

10-12 days seems about on par with what's been happening lately.
Can anyone confirm or deny if I should just trash the included PSU's in the US?
They are 170-230Vac you need 220v connection for them. See pictures few pages back. They will work fine as long as they don't blow up. Now New problem I purchased 2 coolmax PSU and they are rated for 750w @57a and for some reason they are not powering up when connected to the power distribution board. Does both PSU have to match for it to work? are the 2 6 pins are inter changeable? Not sure what's going wrong but it does not power up. I can do the paperclip trick and it runs but it will not power the blade. I'm halfway there just need to get power to the other blade. Anyone know this answer? Okay so do you have a pic of the other end. I am still running the PSU that came with it on the other side. I'm not sure if I'm putting the plugs in the right place. I'm not even sure what the plugs do. All I know is that the fan would half spin then stop. Anyone else that provided their own PSU have a answer for this? |

You might have fried your PSU. It may still turn on but with any serious power draw it auto shuts off. +1 on the do no electrocute yourself. You can always sell it as is on the forum or ebay. |

I finally got it hashing idk how. one question tho. fan starts at 100% then cgminer loads; the fan speed decrease and then it goes to 20% i think, but temp is 70°+; is it normal ? I assume it's not since i setup the temp overheat @ 70. Any help ?  btw what r the max safe temp for those chips ? Is there a way to cut the miner if it's too hot ? because I had to stop it by unpluggin it since it were going over 70°. |
