Well I finally got my unit,
But my questiion to the users here is which PSU has been confirmed to work and be stable without burning out ? Glad you got your unit, but sorry to hear of the TPLink damage. Anyway for PSU's here's my experience: Don't use Solid Gear 750 Neutron (burned out overnight), or CoolerMax 1000U (2 burned out, one over night, the other after a couple days). What does seem to be solid for me (OC'ing BTW) is: Corsair HX1050 and OCZ Z-series 850 Basically, I think you need a good PSU with more than 62A on the 12V rail, but one that has all the best protections built-in, e.g. over/under-volt, over/under-amp, etc. Good name and more power than you think you need seem to help, but no guarantee. I was also able to run a Solid Gear 850 Neutron for a couple days but I pulled it since I didn't trust it after the 750. Hope this helps! |

Yes Single Rail 60A + is what you need. I did the same thing and went cheap and it did not run at all. 750w is what I am running.

650W Can run it Stock - Should Hold... maybe. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817153173750W Can run Stock speeds and has 62A Single rail 12v +10$ to 650W unit, worth it because bigger unit will run lower watts from wall. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817153174850W Safe bet and has some room to do OC. Price gets higer but... maybe can get 1500 OC stable with these. I have 1 unit mounted with 2x of This PSU and i start overclocking tests with it tomorrow. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817153158I have 2x 1200W version of this psu, Newegg wont list it. 100A Single rail, bit overkill http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817104143You should not try to run single psu. With the price of 1350 watt psu you get 2x 750w and end up taking less watts from wall. ATX powersupply is not designed to run 100% 24/7 This is Stats from my OC unit 3.8% HW-error rate /flex  it eavens out to 230 GH/s maybe 220++ in Eligius This is running with 2x 1200W psu taking around 960w from wall. Single 220volts plug. 2x Stock psu with stock speeds take more watts from wall.  Some ppl are getting 9% HW rate with stock... psu is not giving enoug? or just bad quality blades. i dont know..     Last photo shows how the Thermal sensor should be mounted. Make sure it's in hot end of the blades. Some of these miners blow out from front some back  I need to reverse some fans. |

cmon guys how to setup fans rpm in OpenWrt interface ?
In Status > Cgminer Configuration, go to the last block "More Options" and after the "--quiet" entry, enter " --avalon-fan xx" (where xx is a number from 20 to 80) and see what cools and sounds the best. (these numbers set a percentage of fan power if wired correctly) If you trust that the fans are hooked up properly, you can also play with the Target Temperature setting, changing 60 to something lower like 50 or even 40 if you want the fans to blast. It works perfect when its set on 80 !!!  )) GOD BLESS YOU )) |

FINALLY figured out the prob...i'm sure this would have been super obvious to everyone else but....
When I moved the miner to .1. domain level, I thought I was going to still be communicating with it through the ethernet...and that's why it wasn't able to find the miner at .1.
I finally realized that the miner needed to me hooked into the router at that point.
The router isn't close to my miner, so i had to go wireless...couldn't get the miner wireless to work, so I ended up running the ethernet cable from the miner right into the LAN port of a range extender (that was already configured). Worked like a charm.
Stock everything, nothing changed, and i'm running at about 197 to 201 gH/s steady. Woke up this morning and it was down to 38gh...I just restarted the machine and went back to 201. frequency is set at 1400 even.
Thanks to everyone helping me!!!
Looks like i'll need to change the PSUs from what everyone is saying. Maybe then I could get the 220 that everyone else is gettin'!

Weird...
This happen to anyone else?
When I look at the miner firmware/openwrt, it says my miner is now hashing at 152 gh (looking at bottom left number on cgminer status tab), yet when I look at btcguild, it says I'm at over 200 gh/s and the shares and payouts match the 200+ number.
Wonder why....

All 5 of my units have arrived! But all is not well, My two ordered on the 10 with out power supplies are bad Unit 1 the blades stripped off the mounting screws, broke off a capacitor and bent the mount holding the control and power boards Unit 2 the blades heat sink broke on the mounted blade and are loose, bent the mount holding the control and power boards, installed power supplies today (Tuesday, Jan 28, 2014) the blades appear DOA! No hashing, nothing! My three ordered on the 14th with power supplies Unit 1 unboxed, blades were unstable but still mounted, inspected,hooked up and hashing sporadically, the fans will not stay running, I have tweaked the fan speeds, moved the temp sensor, still trying to figure it out! Unit 2 unboxed, blades were unstable but still mounted, inspected,hooked up and hashing currently at about 205 gh/s and waiting for it to settle! Unit 3 unboxed, blades were unstable but still mounted, inspected,hooked up and hashing currently at about 210 gh/s and waiting for it to settle!
