It is a common myth that Bitcoin is ruled by a majority of miners. This is not true. Bitcoin miners "vote" on the ordering of transactions, but that's all they do. They can't vote to change the network rules.

3. LOUD sound. Is there a option available to reduce the fan speed to automatic mode?
--avalon-fan in CGMiner settings under more options. I believe the setting is in reverse though, put it at 90 and it is quiet, 20 and it is full speed. edit: by quiet I of course mean quieter, these are nothing like the original ones for sale at the start of this thread (with video evidence in the thread showing them being quiet). The fans are 36w and even at the lowest setting are too loud to be in the same room with, it's like server equipment. How can I acces the CGminer on the miner?

Check the PWM cable. Color should be Black/Red/Yellow/Blue.
Thanks for the photo i check the wiring tomorrow. I love this race. Every week is a new price. Kncminer is gonna shit their pants when Avalon/Bitmain hits $3/GHs
Yeh talk about it... Both of them are printing out chip like no tomorrow. Their production costs are under $3/Ghs with these small time shops doing mines with almost no labour cost. The amout of TH/s Avalon & Bitmine are shipping out atm. Could hit Kncminers and others hard.. This blade might not be power efficient but Chinese are good at being cost effective in production... and they always have rival factory cloning same things with -10% They might make these ALOT. Is this 105-110GH/s with ~350w power not good but ships out in high volume. Now. I wonder whats factory price for that blade atm. Maybe ~200$ for this blade... could be as low as 100$ soon. I predict DIY hasher 200Gh/s for 500$ After CNY Holidays Chinese Avalon clone is ~1200$ 200GH/s

The miner is running, but I got some problems.
2. Hashing speed is low. The hashing speed is around 172Gh/s instead of 200+ How can I fix this?
Check all the internal cables, something must be loose or broken. Post your Cgminer API log.

Oh GLWS you might want to tray a forum that is not talking about how the QA is terrible. Also I hope they were inspected and are hashing away well. Once again GLWS

I'm willing to pay bounty to oneone helping me to fix why these 5 units are not hashing, left ones are. Chips inside the red area are all cold. I cant see anything wrong in the board but i'm no SMT expert. I can solder tho.
Because the chip group on the left are working, but the group on the right are not, I would strongly suspect the SMD soldering on one or more of the chips in the non-working block (if it were a capacitor or other component, it looks to me like that would have taken out both columns of chips that seem to share the components on top of the board). It is very common with SMD processes and poor QA that there is a bad solder joint or two but you **cannot** see this with your eyes. Only testing (e.g., QA testing) can detect this. What I would do is try to reflow the solder. If you don't have access to a high end reflow machine (I assume you don't) you can do it for $30 by getting a hot plate from Target. Sparkfun is a great reserouce especially for this kind of thing: https://www.sparkfun.com/tutorials/59. Go to the hot plate reflow method. Let us know if that works and be careful not to melt your board; go slow and be patient. I have fixed several boards this way. I have one of these trash-hashers coming (soon? who knows...) and I am keenly interested in whether this works since it appears to be a common problem. If it works, feel free to send whatever bounty you think is worth it!

For cheap SMD rework this heat gun has been my favorite device: https://www.sparkfun.com/products/10326It is not as accurate as a real rework station but I have redone various SMD components with it and you are not cooking your entire board this way.

Does anyone officially offer technical support for the miners? i recieved them today IS there meant to be a light which blinks to shows an ethernet connection? and how do i access the miner ifmy default gateway uses '192.168..1.109' as appose to the bt miner ' 192.168.0.130' .
Also one miner is quiet, whilst the other one sounds like a helicopter is about to land
2 btMiners are still for sale. I just want to test them before i sell them on at face value
2.4 bitcoins each

No light for ethernet connection. These are Avalon miners so treat them as such. https://en.bitcoin.it/wiki/Avalon#User_GuideYou can change default gateway by clicking the Network tab, clicking Edit on the Lan. Change the IPv4 address, gateway, broadcast to your networks subnet. I have 192.168.1.1 for DNS since that is my internet connected router (rather than 192.168.2.1 or 192.168.0.1).

My two were 192.168.0.171 and 192.168.0.178. Are you able to connect directly without a router in between?

Doe everyone have different IP address on the for the miners. I am hard wired to a router and the IP addres I am using is not gettin g a signal.
Plug it directly to your computer/laptop and change your Ethernet adapter settings. Go to the Ipv4 and change it to the following: IP Address: 192.168.0.254 Subnet: 255.255.255.0 Default Gateway: 192.168.0.1 DNS: 8.8.8.8 Then unplug and re-plug in your miner. Now try the IP address from the side of the machine. If that does not work then try using an IP scanner program such as angry ip scanner (free version works just fine) http://angryip.org/w/Download. Now search from 192.168.0.1 to 192.168.0.254 If your Ethernet adapter is setup correctly, it should tell you which ip address to use. You could also just try 192.168.0.100 as a default for some machines.

I ordered 1/7, just got my miner in today! Had the usual loose screws, loose antenna, and one wire pulled from the connector that connects to one of the blades. I have two 650w corsair PSU's. But I noticed a few members said these PSU's will not work. Can anyone confirm this?
