Now that I'm out of newbie-hell on the forums I'd like to suggest that this now 160 page "forum" disguised as a single thread has now grown to the point (along with slush's thread) to a sub-forum of 'Pools"

http://forum.bitcoin.org/index.php?topic=17462.msg223800#msg223800

Thoughts?

I'd really like to be able to use a RSS reader focused on deepbit pool only.  Can't do that with a single thread...

Boards within boards within boards...

No different than Pools being Bitcoin Forum->Bitcoin->Mining->Pools.
Just make Bitcoin Forum->Bitcoin->Mining->Pools->DeepBit!
There are so many parallel conversations going on that should really be separate threads just to keep them straight...

Not to mention remembering the last page I was at...

I get that when a pool starts you wouldn't create one right away as they might be some fly-by-night deepbit wanna-be.  But there is a critical mass at which its time to give them their own bucket.

Theymos will have to do it. I don't mind seeing subforums for the three largest pools (the ones I have stickied atm), but I don't have the power to make them.

Good Show [Tycho]. I'm fairly new to mining but loving deepbit pool so far, also impressed with your quick response to problems like this. Just hope you can put up with the floods of people that appear and seem to not read any of the thread responses directly above theirs!

Instant payout not working!

Seeing the same thing.  Automated payout did not occur either [which is why I checked and then decided to try instant payout].

EDIT:  I see Tycho is aware of this [which I had little doubt as Tycho never sleeps and is omniscient when it comes to what is going on with Deepbit Smiley].  I am in no hurry to withdraw coins; I was just curious why I didn't receive the automated payment which I noticed almost an hour ago, but didn't come here until now and actually had no plans to mention it until I saw that post.  I figured Tycho would know about it and fix it in due course [and quickly like usual ... no pressure intended Smiley].

Agreed.  If the threads were separated as they should be, then one could unsubscribe from notifications.  Also, to the forum admin and possible the software author, it would be great to be able to have the option to choose to automatically get notified for any new thread in a given group, but not be subscribed to the thread until choosing to do so [or per settings and simply responding in the thread].

Thanks for the tweet on status.  Nice to know that stuff is happening when I'm away from the board.
@deepbit_net if you don't already follow and use twitter as a kinda news feed...

I think it was a bug in bitcoind. Still needs additional checking.
