I recently went from 600 Mh/s to about 2.8Gh/s at full speed

I need help diagnosing a problem tho, most of the time I'm going at 2.2 due to a problem I can't solve http://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=7542.0

The Bitcoin network protocol was designed to be extremely flexible. It can be used to create timed transactions, escrow transactions, multi-signature transactions, etc. The current features of the client only hint at what will be possible in the future.

Honestly I think Tycho has no responsibility to be below 50%, thats the responsibility of the miners that contribute to the pool to decide.  The fact that tycho is doing anything at all about this speaks volumes.

For a week I moved off of deepbit for the exact reason I did not want to be part of the biggest pool, but i came back when I found that no other pool really was as good.

If people really have an issue with this they need to create their own pool, with slush the way things are there are only 3 serious pools out there that I would consider.

Ok I think this might be a pool problem

I recently bumped up production by a lot and am having problems with my miners doing this:

"Problems communicating with bitcoin RPC"

I have 4 GPUs mining on the same worker name.

Should I be splitting this up? I'm getting very angry with all the small pauses. Is this DNS related or anything? Firewall is disabled. Should I be using VPN?

We only know of the public pools. Maybe, there is a secret "dark" pool with an "evil" operator that already has 50+% of the network.   Wink

Hey, If there is, can someone get me an invite?    Cheesy

No, you won't hit the worker limit with only that.

If this ever happens with you, you'll see a message in your miner recommending to use no more than 20 LP clients on one worker account.

As I understand, you have this problem on one of your mining rigs, but everything works fine on another ?

It just started on my second dedicated machine. I'm wondering if I'm having a transmission issue?

I fully agree with you! Actually, i'm proud that i joined to deepbit, based on my very limited knowledge deepbit is really good pool.

noob here.
I just received my first btc from deepbit.  Now looking at my wallet it says received 1.11 (my threshold was 1btc).  But my receiving address at the top has now changed.  Is that normal?  Will I continue receiving at the first address until I change my address with Deepbit?

EDIT: I meant the receiving address at the top... on my bitcoin client.

You don't have to change receiving address. The address u gave in the settings page of ur account is enough.
Every time use different account is not for getting bitcoin from pool.
It is for anonymous bitcoin transfer to some one with out the chance for anyone to know that u transferred.
What you have now is correct. & every time, it reaches threshold, you will get bitcoin from the same receiving address which advised not to change, unless some one hacked ur system. just play cool, forget fear.
One more thing, set the threshold to match the maximum bitcoins u get in 24 hours. This pool sends your bitcoins every 24 hrs automatically & u have one extra chance to take coins manually with in 24 hours.

It is [Tycho] who has to ask/tell/request its members to switch to other pools when the other biggest pool struggling.
So, small pools also gets miners & coins.

Bitcoin came to break monopoly , not to create monopoly.
