solved, was due downtime ?

Hello,

i just subscribed to the pool, but my win64 gui worker would loose his connection after starting to compute. i wonder if the communication to my client is udp or tcp based ? i got 2 firewalls in front of me and incoming udp is causing troubles.

One of my miners is working, the rest all post the same:
exceptions.AttributeError: 'NoneType' object has no attribute 'connHeaders'
this is trully very annoying!!!!
then you need to manulally restart the miner or else it stays that way for ever!!!!
moreover it is a matter of bad luck if the miner stays like this or resume.
what can be done?
Is this phoenix ?
I'm using poclbm and only one restart was needed today (when I fixed that bug with LP).

yes phoenix! perhaps it was the LP bug that causes the trouble?!
but i think it is happening also during DDoS attacks!
poclbm doesn't have this problem?

It's like usual HTTP browser, but connects to 8332 port.

Just realised that I did somethng very stupid, I thought that the number 1MHiYYKmXJPLhbEq2oihAHaHHmwveSm8bU at the bottom of my account page was my address for payment and saved that as for the automatic payment.
I realise now that its not mine and I just sent them over 10BTC, is there any way that I can undo this?
Just sent your money back to you.
I was surprised by this generous donation :)

Think I Might Have gotten Caught by the updated DDOS Protection @.@

poclbm is reporting 'Problems communicating with bitcoin RPC'  And my browser can't connect to the deepbit.net Website, but the one miner I didn't restart (wasn't having any issues with long polls ) is still quite happily mining away.

Are those miners and browser located on same PC and use same IP address and DNS ?

I've also noticed that the i've been caught in the DDoS filter... I can connect to the website fine when i use a VPN, but back on home IP and nothing. My miner doesn't have any kind of VPN ability currently so I guess i'll just have to wait it out.

How long are you blocking suspected IPs for?

PM me your IP. Also try to make a traceroute to deepbit.net to find out where is it blocked.

I'm still mining.  Also it's completely ineffective to DDOS DeepBit.   I would say 99% of the pool simply switches and thus the perpetrator would have almost 0 net gain if he was mining.   This is assuming his goal is to make bitcoins of course.

And my phoenix shut down earlier too, I had to manually restart.  I'm going to switch back to pocblm today.  Seems like phoenix/diablo aren't as well supported.

I would recommend using poclbm or guiminer.
Phoenix can lock up in case of connection problems and it's not faster anyway.

As you can see at the http://bitcoinwatch.com site, deepbit is online and working.
But some of our users experience connection problems. I'm not sure why they are affected and others are not, but trying to find a solution.

Tycho,

All of my miners just turned red on two different systems.  I reviewed and my miners are still hashing.  Did something happen?
