Bumface:
We've tried being patient. We really have.
But the bottom line is you and Ziggy created the coin and profited from it, and are leaving it to die. We are one month in. Early adopters are going down with the ship, and other formerly dedicated investors are fleeing trying to salvage some of their resources.
We need you to step up and get this on a reputable exchange with decent volume. The coin was too big for Crypto-Trade, and that's before they got hacked. Waiting for them to come back in 3 weeks doesn't solve anything long term. No one is going to risk putting big buy support into a small exchange and risked getting Gox'd.
We need to you step up and actually understand mining of your own coin. At current prices and hash rates, UTC is only slightly more profitable to mine than DOGE, with the UTC chart pointing straight down. It was once many times more profitable to mine than other coins. Now, not so much.
We (the community) have got the coin listed on small exchanges without your support. We (the community) have tried to be patient bagholders, waiting for you to show some ownership and hustle and get this coin moving.
We can't wait forever. Contrary to what some people are saying, this is real investment for all of us trying to make real money. Make your move, or tell us once and for all that you're not going to make a move and we'll make a move for you...on to another coin.
Most of what you say is valid criticism, which some of us have tried to submit since long ago to no avail, because there's always people defending the status quo no matter what. I do agree particularly on the perilous situation UTC is in at the moment, with low trading volume, low profitability, lack of a proper exchange, and N-factor shifts muddling the water for miners. I stand by the request for bumface to share some of the super-top-secret details he was always hinting about, with us early adopters. It is true some holders are selling, some already left completely like imginy, and some are starting to have doubts about the whole thing. It's easy for bumface to be confident because he already made some money, which he already re-invested in unrelated activities, not so much for us peons who gotta pay bills. So, no more "brave-heart" fluff speeches, just clarity, honesty, communal trust. It's all we've ever asked, after all. And no, jumping at one's throat screaming "troll" over and over again is not helping the coin either, so please avoid that. Also, feel free to delete the post if you feel is necessary. +1

Sad but i think this coin is dead already It's not dead, however in my opinion it cannot survive another 2-3 weeks at these conditions with no news, low prof, low descending price etc etc waiting for CT to be back online, assuming most people will still trust their coins on there.

I trust CT so I'll trade there again one it comes back. But until then, UTC price might go below 0.0001 if this continues....

Try your GPU engine at 1000, mem at 1250 and make it -g 2, provided you have 8GB ram. Edit: Nevermind. Just saw that you had 4GB. Try this: --scrypt-jane --sj-nfmin 4 --sj-nfmax 30 --sj-time 1388361600 -I 11 --gpu-engine 1150 --gpu-memclock 1250 -w 256 -g 2 --auto-fan --temp-target 75 --temp-overheat 80 --temp-cutoff 85 --shaders 2048 Yes, leave TC blank but make sure to delete any old bin files previously generate by CGMiner.

Agree with others opinitions about struggle UTC after all shift N-Factor change schedule without notify config change in whole. Crypto-trade.com will be maintenance for 1 or 2 weeks when it fixed up hope price and volume transaction will be fine. Profit for this coin will be same other alternates coins rest but I keep this coin for broker trade up higher price by the time. Outside crypto-trade.com btc/utc high these site other loose the price so on unexpected.

I think we need to hear the strategy of the Dev team of UTC atm right now its just tanking and we really need to hear some actual good news from the dev team.
So far a-lot of community support . cheap buy support and a-lot of manipulation without some good news soon i fear for my investment.
As a team and not just bumface the UTC team needs to bring some support of their own to this situation.
And i'm not looking for a pep talk that really does nothing for clarity on our situation.
For instance bumface said something along the lines of Having some great things planned. well i think at this point we need to hear some of these THINGS.
If the whales bail then its going no where.

This coin will not succeed on these small exchanges..... no volume, the entire exchange has like volume of like 100 bitcoins a day.
WE need a big final push on cryptsy or BUST.
If only these 331 forum pages were on cryptsy instead of here.
The price is chasing lower with manipulation, sellers have no recourse to gouging thats going on because we don't have any other reliable exchanges with volume.

Uhm, we need some buy support on Mintpal, two sharks are manipulating price and forced the coin to even go to 0.00015.
No one else seem to be buying, just those 2, so they can dictate whatever price they want

what the heck is up with you guys saying bumface isn't providing enough info or status updates? as i recall hearing bumface says he spends nearly ten hours a day working on UTC, outside of a day job, im sure, and all of lifes little details like family relations and goddamit maybe a chance to catch a 10 minute break just to catch his breath! we as a community certainly count on our devs to provide support and progress reports concerning the coin, but come on guys, we dont need to cry for the teet every other page! me personally, im mining and holding, and thats it. as i recall hearing, UTC is a long term coin, and im in this shit for the long haul, whether bumface posts or not.

http://www.reddit.com/r/official_utc/Let's keep /r/official_utc alive! It's a great way to have multithreaded discussions, there's already a fair bit of decent conversation. A lot of people have been saying that they like having everything on a single thread, and even though it's a great solution for the select few of us that read every post, it doesn't work for most people that are casually interested. It's way too easy to miss posts, announcements, contests, etc... and conversations often die because they get mixed up in others. If you don't believe it will work, at least give it a try for 1 week. Let's all post questions, interesting pages, and comment. Who knows, maybe if we force the conversation a bit we'll start driving some unexpected growth. At this point, what do we have to lose? And @Bumface, please clarify your post in /r/official_utc, I'm really happy that you gave us all an update, but it's extremely misleading for anyone who hasn't experience the daunting hash rates of scrypt-jane coins. This has been pointed out by many members, and it takes 5 seconds to fix. Thanks! [edit] If you are interested in keeping track of metrics, as of right now we have 55 subscribers, and we're the 43,743th most popular reddit! Source: http://redditmetrics.com/r/official_utc
