I stand corrected, it seems it was a group of people who did not agree on the direction Bitcoin was taking.

The need to accommodate an increasing count of transactions per second contributed to a push by some in the community to create a hard fork to increase the block size limit. This push came to a head in July 2017 when some members of the bitcoin community including Roger Ver felt that adopting BIP 91 without increasing the block-size limit favored people who wanted to treat bitcoin as a digital investment rather than as a transactional currency. Bitcoin Cash supporters, compared to Bitcoin, were more committed to a medium of exchange function. This push by some to increase the block size met a resistance. Since its inception up to July 2017, Bitcoin users had maintained a common set of rules for the cryptocurrency. Eventually, a group of bitcoin activists, investors, entrepreneurs, developers and largely China-based miners were unhappy with Bitcoin's proposed SegWit improvement plans meant to increase capacity and pushed forward alternative plans for a split which created Bitcoin Cash. Segwit controversially would later enable second layer solutions on bitcoin such as the Lightning Network, and this controversy led to the split that created Bitcoin Cash. The proposed split included a plan to increase the number of transactions its ledger can process by increasing the block size limit to eight megabytes.

Dash has been commited to creating a superior form of cryptocurrency since its inception back in January 2014, way before the BCH fork. In my opinion it is still a superior form of 'cash like crypto' than BCH.

When Dashpay wallet goes live, I suspect most people will say that it was well worth the wait. The user experience with Dash/Dashpay is unlike anything I've seen in crypto so far. Simply amazing and there's so much more to come.

Dashpay should be released on testnet latest end of next month (currently fully functional on evonet), allowing the Dash community to test it and bring forward any potential remaining issues that come up.

A mainnet release is intended first half of next year, but obviously depends on potential issues found during the testnet period.

Yes , yes... especially people from humble countries devastated economically , the kind DASH prefers for its advertising demagoguery, whose inhabitants were promised financial independence and remunerated "savings accounts" ... with the token 40 times more expensive than in the last minimum and in amounts of 4 figures in dollars ... which can be HUNDREDS of monthly salaries for a single token. Salaries around 5 dolars and similar amounts...   ...well , well..."most people will say that it was well worth the wait"... it is necessary to have few lights, a good pair of balls or ethics in the ass to say that ...

I have not seen such manipulation even in the worst ICOs (who are so liked to despise around here) that I have been able to access. And less encouraged both by the DAO, the responsible organization financing its promotion, and by the greatest exponents of the project, at the level of image, advertising, organization, and even its founder included ...

It is a real shame that Peruvians, Venezuelans or Argentines who have put their long-suffering money in the pockets of these cheap scammers do not have a regulator like the SEC at their fingertips ... because with the infinite succession of lies, breaches, consensual parasitism, etc. that this project has made use of, the act of poetic justice was going to be glorious ... and I dare say almost automatic.

The worst of all ... is that probably all of that could be done with DASH. Bitcoin is king.

Litecoin, Bitcoin Cash, Monero and Dash have been in the same range for a long time. Litecoin seems to have made a significant jump in September 2020. Bitcoin Cash and Monero seem to have less transactions than Dash, but the difference is not significant.

Hopefully crypto enthousiasts will take an interest in Dashpay and our daily transactions go up. In either case, all current Dash users, will probably create one or more usernames. There will likely be a spike in transactions once it is released. I'm expecting to see a higher baseline in transaction volume afterwards.



If we look at the number of active addresses, we can see that Litecoin, Bitcoin Cash and Dash are still somewhat in the same range depending on the exact data point we're looking at. Litecoin seems slightly higher than Dash. Dash is slightly higher than Bitcoin Cash. If the number of active addresses is any indication of how many users Dash potentially has, then we should see the creation of many thousands of usernames (decentralized identities) on the Dash network.

Dash Platform will also increase the number of transactions (creating dash contracts, dapp actions) although I'm not sure how stats sites will look at it, since Dash Platform uses a secondary blockchain for data storage and dapp activity. Perhaps someone with more insight into the Dash Platform architecture can share how Dash Platform will or may affect our transaction volume.

Personally i am waiting for the Dash price to pass $211,71 before labeling Dash to be in a full-fletched bull market. Dash does give some promising signals from time to time.

Period 1 moved 1,3% from miners to masternodes
