People are panic buying. I'm going to be honest, this is a pump. I hold DRK but lets not bury our heads in the sand here. The 40btc buy wall is proof enough as it is. But I will say this...
THIS IS GOING TO BE A BUMPY FUCKING RIDE.
I want to take profits (to hopefully increase my holdings) but I am scared Evan is going to release RC2 and we will REALLY take off.
This is the reason why people are panic buying, everyone has in mind where this is going to be with RC2, then final version and then open source, and because not many people selling price clearly goes up. But I don't think of this as a pump, the 40BTC was originally 50BTC and they didn't move, neither they moved it up to keep pushing the price as anyone pumping the coin would do. I do believe people will dump at some point and correct the price down a bit, but with so many people buying having in mind RC2 and masternodes it will recover. In any case, I think we are talking too much about the price, let's focus on marketing and getting things done, this is going to be a long ride, so it doesn't matter much the price today or tomorrow. |

Why has the Darkcoin price increased substantially in the last couple of days?Why did the price start to rise now and not 1 week or 2 ago???
Did I miss any significant change or news?
The difference between a bear trend and a bull trend is that in a bear trend the market "bear"ly (sorry) reacts to any positive news, but has an over-exaggerated response to negative news. In a bull market that is reversed. While there were plenty of updates and developments in the DRK space during the last two months they hardly made any impact on the price before encountering waves of selling pressure. Now every bit of positive news should make the price rise significantly. DRK being one of the few coins with TRULY innovative functionality will make it a serious contender in the altcoin space in the next 6 months to year. great post sir. +1 It's not just the tech. Absolutely not worried about a bit of a price drop if it happens, although I doubt it will. I'm buying for the long term.
Ultimately, DRK is the ONLY coin with actual real world utility beyond BTC, it's been underpriced for a long time.
Fundamentals > pump&dump daytrader garbagecoins.
