As I have previously said in here, I don't know much about the IPL however this year I am looking to place some bets on the games. My question is for the ones that do bet on the IPL, is it best to bet live in-play? The sportsbook AceDBets that I use will hopefully have live in-play betting as I do like to try it out and see how I go.

Live in play bets are best in IPL as majority of games are unpredictable (Its true for any T-20 game). You never know what would happen in next over and odds shoots upwards or fall down dramatically.

Yesterday in CSK vs MI game odds started with @1.65 (MI) and @2.65 (CSK) by the end of the first inning odds for both team were same (@1.85) but in second inning, after 2 quick wickets CSK odds went up close to @3.85.

I bet on live in play every time when it comes to T-20 so i would suggest the same.

Watched last night's game and it was a joy after so long. The fake crowd sound in the background was jarring in the beginning but you get used to it gradually. I imagine if their is a guy at the studio trying to match the crowd's.noise level with every 4 and 6. The one thing i definitely missed was the crowd's rising cheer at the beginnign when the first ball is bowled in such tournaments. Kudos to the team IPL for the creativity though. The messGe from UAE minister in the beginning was nice to hear.

The  match itself was a cracker. The last minute fireworks from Curran stole the match away. Two awesome catches from du Plessis. Overall, it was worth it though you will miss the genuineness of the crowd and other bells and whistles of a packed stadium.

Does anyone know where this match and the whole IPL season 2020 can be seen live on Internet (Youtube) as these matches are not been broadcasted in Pakistan sports channels 

Notably, there will be no IPL live telecast in Pakistan. The IPL broadcasters have also got into contracts with the local broadcasters in Afghanistan and Bangladesh for the IPL 2020 live streaming.

Seems Hotstar is the only online platform which streaming IPL 2020 and it isn't available on Pakistan as well but you can download that app using VPN into your device and can buy the subscription with someone's help in your neighbouring country.

It not a practical solution as it is subscription based service and only avaible for the residents of India. Secondly i am not willing to spend the money to watch the IPL live action. I hope someone will come up with a free of cost solution.

So there is no way as well to watch if for free legally since its subscription based. You can buy hotstar account details on different sites and forums but we never know how legitimate they are so it upto you whether you want to pay to get 2 months of cricket or just want to stick with cricket updates only.

I switched on the tv in the middle of the first innings and when i heard the crowd noise, i believed that they have actually allowed the crowd in the stadium but later it was clear that was an artificial sound. Those who are watching on TV, never feel that the match is played in empty stadiums.

As told before i am not going to messed up with this hotstar thing. I heard that some facebook pages show these matches live but illegally by cropping the logo of the broadcaster. Its just a matter of time that i would find such a page showing live matches.

Betting on Delhi today but scared as they always prove to be the weakest. Punjab as usual have a very weak record while I used to keep backing them. Want to see Gayle batting well and hitting those huge sixes.

I am not sure whether IPL is available in Hotstar Pakistan, but they are streaming the matches here in India. Earlier I used to watch them using the Tata Sky login in my laptop, but this time when I click on the Start Sports 1 Select HD, they are redirecting me towards Hotstar. Anyway, I don't have to pay, since I already have Tata Sky subscription. If you don't have one, then there are some Reliance Jio plans, which will give you access to Disney+ Hotstar for a limited period.

Yay! CSK started with a win finally. Dhoni made no runs but still loved watching him after a long time lol

CSK's players were clearly better than MI with two players scoring half century. Even the bowlers were better.

CSK played better cricket today that is the difference, and its a known fact that MI will take time to settle between their teammates as always and they played destructively in the beginning but the only mistake is they kept losing wickets in the regular sessions which CSK made 100+ partnership at steady run rate made the big difference.

Exactly i missed the match but watched highlight ,really CSK played better than MI .The eraly wicked loosing was ,ake some difficulty but at the end CSK played really well .FAF Du Plesiss was exceptional and also he is a match winner .

I don't think they had free streaming earlier. When I was in India, sometimes I used to watch their live streams. It was free for the first 5-10 minutes and after that they will ask for subscription. And I don't think that they can legally stream the matches for free. The TV rights were sold for such a huge amount. If they live stream the matches, then it will cause huge losses for the rights holder (Star Sports).

I used to watch cricket matches when India used to play and it was free streaming as I used jiotv but now jiotv stopped it and they made it subscription based for watching hotstar.

I just googled a bit. It looks like Jio still have some plans, where you get free subscription to Hotstar. Check these:

So basically, if you have a Jio connection, then you get Hotstar subscription for free. Yeah, they are 92 for 5 now and without a batsmen and just bowlers left. I don't think the target will even be 140+ at this stage. It doesn't look good at all. Rahul should be out in the first 5 overs else the game will be totally in control of Punjab.

Actually Delhi were lucky today to still made 157 which at one time looked impossible. They have also controlled the Punjab XI and took three wickets very early in their innings. At the moment Delhi Capitals are looking favorites.

With the help of Marcus Stoinis big hits in last over possibly through match-winning score on the board. That's the beauty of IPL, for some time everyone thought it is difficult to cross 120 marks for DC, and afterward this happened. Delhi survived at beginning as KXIP do right now. Kings XI Punjab need 158 in total secure the win, but at this stage likely difficult to manage.
