The performance of the Delhi Capitals seems very strange to me. Delhi lost their first wicket by 67 runs. Prithvi Shaw was dismissed for 61 off 34 balls. They lost Warner's wicket by just 2 runs. They lost the third wicket for 74 runs. They scored 86 runs in 12.5 overs, and they have scored only 19 runs in the last 5 overs. If Lalit and Rishabh Pant can play well then Delhi can give a big target. Otherwise, their innings will end before 150.

Delhi has given a target of only 150 runs. Lucknow needs just 7.5 runs per over to win. Experienced enough of Lucknow's batsmen. You should not face any problem to win by batting for such a low run. They have experienced batsmen like de Kock, Rahul and Lewis in their squad. Lucknow can easily win if any one of these three players can play well today.

Delhi is facing some problem in middle order as they are not performing as they need to do for having some good target on board with this second lost hopefully now in next match they will do some good changes in batting order because it's early part of this season if they are unable to do bring some better changes then surely it's going to hurt them very badly. In presence of M Rahman and Nortie their bowling performance is also just average which is surely big concern for them because these both bowlers can do much better than their current form but with this current form they can face some very early exit from top position which could be big disaster for them.

Tomorrow we have another very exciting match between Punjab Kings vs Gujarat Titans with their first season in this league Gujarat Titans doing amazing job but still this is going to be an exciting match for all fans.

Actually the Delhi Capitals bowlers did a pretty decent job (with the exception of Anrich Nortje), and if they had another 10-20 runs on board, then the outcome of the match would have been different. Delhi batsmen (Rishabh Pant and Sarfaraz Khan) put only 75 runs in the last 9.3 overs for the 4th wicket partnership. I don't know what held them back. They had a number of good lower order batsmen in their playing XI such as Lalit Yadav, Axar Patel and Shardul Thakur. If these guys had an opportunity to bat, then DC could have made a total of 160-170.

Surely they were short nearly 30 to 35 runs in presence of two very good bowlers but currently their all unit is having some problems, and they are not performing as they need to be done with availability of Mustafizur and Nortie which was in good form in last season and may were feeling he will perform again in this way but sadly until now fail to give any good impression which is not signal for Delhi.

Batting is also having some concerns because their batmen need to do some better currently, just Prithvi Shaw is having some better form and others are not doing as they need to be in this competition where they have very few chances of survival with this current form. The two new franchise are doing good job which mean they also need to start their best if you want to stay alive until end of this round.

Just came across an interesting tour on espncricinfo.com, Uganda tour of Namibia. I didn't knew that Uganda also has a cricket team. The first T20I was played today between Namibia and Uganda, Uganda managed to play all 20 overs and scored 127 runs which were easily chased by Namibia. Both teams have players of native origin but due to icc policy they are behind teams of expats.

In the match between Punjab and Gujarat, I chose the Gujarat team today. Because in the last two matches, they have shown stable performance in both bowling and batting and have won. But I was scared of Punjab's batsmen today. Because there were some great batsmen in the Punjab team. So at first Punjab got the batting I thought they would give more than 200 targets.
Agarwal, Sikhar Dhawan, Bairstow, and Livingstones are all very experienced batsmen for the T20 format. Livingstone returned to the dressing room today with 64 runs off 27 balls. At the end of 18 overs, they lost 9 wickets and scored 162 runs. Gujarat bowlers performed well. Even if Punjab gives a target of 180, Gujarat is more likely to win.

In the match between Punjab and Gujarat, I chose the Gujarat team today. Because in the last two matches, they have shown stable performance in both bowling and batting and have won. Aus were not with there main players in ODI and T20I because of the player rotation policy but still there new players put up a very good show. In ODI Pakistan chased down a target of 348 which is there highest ever target chased. In T20, Pakistan were controlled very well after a good opening stand of Babar and Rizwan.

May be Australia were too confident with the team, other than that i do not understand the rotation policy and how long they will rotate the team members and the players needs to sync to perform as a team. If they keeps on rotating players every series, it will not help them.

He had done this previously (in prior editions).. and he did it this time also. Rahul Tewatia is one of the most under-rated players in the IPL. That said, the bowler (Odean Smith) did a very poor job in defending the total, after an excellent 19th over from Arshdeep Singh. Ideally once Hardik Pandya got out in the first ball of that over, the Punjab Kings should have gained upper hand. But that didn't happened and Smith just threw away a match that they could have easily won. And the captaincy from Punjab (Mayank Agarwal) was pathetic as usual.
