I made my early prediction on Dern to win in Sportsbet Multi Master Challenge, but more I think about this fight more I have a feeling Xiaonan Yan could make a surprise win.
I won't watch this even live and I am not to excited to watch main event, but I just saw very interesting training by Alex Pereira in his preparation for Adesanya fight.
Is someone going to need some kind of wheels in that fight?

Yan is defintely the value bet here, and I think she might just pull it off as well. Mainly, because she's a volume fighter, but also quite strong on the grappling. She's quite big in there compared to most of her opponents too, and I'm not sure if Dern's going to struggle with that. I've doubted Dern before though, and she's pulled it off. I think she might have the advantage on the ground, where as I'd actually fancy Yan on the feet.

I might put a small bet on Yan just because of the value of it.

For me, I would bet on Dern to win it, and I am going to watch the fight aswell, I am pretty much curious about Yan Xiaonan aswell and she might get a surprise win but I am still going with Dern, And I am always forgetting to get my picks for the Multibet master maybe I will put mine later,

Pretty much we could be surprised by Yan if she can pull this by feat and if she can defend those takedowns, Dern could launch, but for me, I am still going with Mackenzie Dern, but I am Intrigue about Yan Xiaonan on what she can do inside the octagon against Dern, but for me, I still go with Dern but I am curious in what Xiaonan can do, I will give my brief explaining and pick on this maybe tomorrow,

I always like when coach is creative. But I accept that this kind of balance work was an exception and they dont really train like that seriously. I know one guy, who likes untraditional training. Now he has 0-5 record That is not only because of that, but a totality of factors like age, mental condition and etc. Yet still... (Try to guess that fighters name).

This has convinced me. I actually did pick Yan in the MM challenge but that was just a standard "pick the underdog in the main" move and it wasn't such a difficult pick, odds didn't show that much difference.

Probably a bit old-fashioned but for smaller fighters I still think volume/mass is a big deal.

^  Oof no.  Sodiq Yusuff is legit...  But for a small bet, why not cos who knows, even Kamaru Usman got beat in a match he was winning.  But if you want a live dog go for Guido Cannetti as Randy Costa doesn't have more than 5 minutes of cardio in him.  He has powerrr in those hands tho.  Safer bet would prolly be under 1.5 rounds if you want it.

It would be nice if only there was a book where we could do live betting.  I'd go for Cannetti after R1 if he survives Costa's early barrage.

Earlier, there were rumors that it was Mark Zuckerberg who rented the whole event. But a few hours ago Dana White confirmed that there is no truth behind Zuckerberg renting the whole event. Although it seems fishy when the way Dana was explaining the whole thing like telling the reporters that they needed breaks and that they can stay at their homes eating pizza while watching the event on tv. Maybe it was Zuckerberg then or other billionaires but they wanted the public not to know it so Dana came up with funny excuses and alibis.

Yeah, I'm very reluctant to put Randy on the accumulator, since he's a pretty predictable fighter, and his weaknesses are known by everyone. He's going to come out, try to knock his opponents head off, and probably gas as a result. He's also the type of fighter that drops his hands very low when he's feeling it a little. So, I wouldn't even be surprised if he gets finished himself. I think it all depends on how much he empties of the tank early on, and how success he is early. Obviously, it looks good when you finish the opponent quickly, but it doesn't always happen like that.

Conor pretty much found out the hard way, fighters knew what he was going to do, and they avoided a brawl early on knowing he'll eventually tire, and become much easier to beat.

Mackenzie Dern is much better with grappling and most of her wins are coming from submissions.
Yan never won a single mma fight with submission, she is much better at stand up with, and most of her wins are with KO or TKO.

Yeah, but Yan is pretty good at grappling which is a little different from submissions, and therefore might be able to dominate in the 50/50 positions, especially against the fence. Where as Dern is BJJ expert, and is a submission threat is she going to be able to effectively get that take down. That's what I'm concerned about when looking at her.

It's not a strong prediction from me, it's more of a lean. I actually really like Dern, but I just feel this could potentially be an upset. Yan's also fought some decent opposition, and definitely isn't a cake walk.

So, how does it work? Since, I've looked at tickets before, and you can buy months in advance. So, how come someone can just walk in, and buy the venue, what happens to the fans that have already paid for their tickets?

Not a fan of the idea at all, even if the money gets refunded, people make plans based on those tickets. As for Zuckerburg, it does seem like he's been getting a lot of media coverage on his love of the UFC recently, I'm not sure if there's going to be a future partnership down the line or if the rumours simply came about because of the recent media coverage of him training in MMA.

Yeah I'm not really sure why the sports betting sites have him at this huge of a favorite.  I mean after losing with a finish each vs Yanez and Kelly, he should be around 1.65 here.  Dunno but lining him at around 1.33 is just too much chalk.  Lol.

Anyway, I'm just waiting for the weigh ins which should start in a couple of hours or so.  Will post the results and the vid if I don't get too busy.  Gonna also post my lottery ticket after the weigh ins.  I will bet it only if I win my BTTS and over 2.5 goals combo bet at the Arsenal vs Spurs match.

I'll also be posting my predictions, and betting slip up later. I'd appreciate some people weighing in on my selections, since I'm really not confident on a few of them. I'm probably going to go with a Dern win, for my betting slip, but will likely be predicting a Yan win.

I guess it's subjective, but when I've checked the London events they're quite substantially priced. Not like boxing, much cheaper than boxing, but still quite expensive. Not sure if it's cheaper or more expensive in the US, since I imagine it's a lot more popular over there.

The thing is Khai Wu aka the Chinese guy isn't fighting on UFC APEX, I don't see any reason why Zuckerberg want to rent the whole seats. I think he just want to create some hype if he's an UFC fans and would doing anything to enjoy the UFC events.

How much do you guys let weigh ins sway your opinions? I usually take little notice unless there's a massive weight difference, and if a fighter hasn't made weight, as that suggests some difficulty in the weight cutting process.

Even if it didn't it would be unfair to the fans that already bought tickets, unless this event never went on sale in the first place. Still though, I'm not a fan of anyone buying out a venue when it could be public sale instead. I guess we'll find out on the night. If I remember I'll check to see if the tickets are for sale later. I'm assuming not, but it seems Dana is outright denying that the venue has been sold.

Maybe he has some hidden agenda in mid connected with some of the fighters on this fight card, but who knows what crazy ideas are running around in crazy people heads.

What are you looking for in the face off's exactly? I've tried to figure out this voodoo that some people seem to do when it comes to the weigh ins, and face off's, but I've not cracked the code yet. I've equally seen someone confident in the face off knocked the guy out, as well as the one that's just keeping to themselves. I mean, most of them like to put a show on, and live up to the cameras.

Whereas the weigh ins, only if they're looking completely off do I make notes, otherwise I tend to think being the heavier fighter, i.e missing weight gives you the advantage rather than not.

A Speed & Reaction time and Strength & Conditioning training I really think he would not show his true main training on his youtube channel just for Alex Pereira's team to be ready for but this simple training will surely help him condition himself for the fight,

UFC Fight Night: Dern vs. Yan

Mackenzie Dern VS Xiaonan Yan

Stake odds for this match are 1.41 for Dern while 2.95 for Yan, pretty much we had a striking chick from China and a Sexy Chick that would defeat you on the ground, Xiaonan Yan is a great striker and Dern must watch out for those technical strikes of Yan, while Dern is the weakness for all strikers but I think Yan has decent takedown defense, but for me, because of Mackenzie Dern's overall wins she got 12 wins and only 2 losses, in those 12 wins she got 7 submission wins, I think that will solidify how good of a grappler she is, so going with Mackenzie Dern, and will bet on this fight,

Randy Brown VS Francisco Trinaldo

Stake odds for this match are 1.27 for Brown while 3.75 for Trinaldo, both fighters have great records having Francisco Trinaldo some advantage in his experience while Randy Brown had some advantage on his height and reach this will be a solid foundation for him for the fight and I surely doubt Trinaldo's age, I think Randy Brown will be the better fighter here, so my pick will be Randy Brown,

Aleksei Oleinik VS Ilir Latifi

Stake odds for this match are 2.50 for Oleinik while 1.53 for Latifi, Well, for me Ilir Latifi had some decent durability comparing the two when they fight Derrick Lewis, both fighters lost during that fight Latifi lost with a Decision while Oleinik lost by KO/TKO in Round 2, this goes to show how Latifi had good durability in withstanding Lewis the version of 2020 Lewis, but both men fought the 2020 Lewis but Latifi is the only one survive for 3 rounds While Oleinik may have the longest rounds because they are the main card but he just lasted for 2 rounds and maybe his age is catching up to him, I think after the fight Oleinik might retire, but we will see, so my pick will be Ilir Latifi,

I am shocked. I saw videos before, however, it did not look for Jon Jones to be this giant. This also certainly makes it appear that Francis Ngannou might have a real challenge hehe. I predict Dana to make the announcement after UFC 281.
