Just unbelievable. When I made my previous post India were at 195/4. Now they are 214/8. Just shows how quickly the situation can change in cricket, even in the longer format. Ravindra Jadeja is still there, but on the other end we have Jasprit Bumrah, with Siraj to come. The immediate priority for India right now is to keep the Australian lead in two digits. For that, they need to score another 23 runs.

The lead is still 134 runs and if India is able to restrict the Aussies to 250 then there is a chance India might win the match. Australia has already lost 2 wickets and the bowlers are dominating the match let's see what Sir Jadeja does in this session.

Even though Indian bowlers picked two early wickets then the deadly duo again having 50+ partnership means India is going to be in the huge struggle in their second innings.even if India can OZ in 250 range still the score to chase will be near 400 so India have to create a record if they want to win this match and going for a draw is really not possible as well.

Now we have no chance of draw because after very poor batting from Indian batting line up now they already 197+ both danger batsmen on crease so just 100+ could be ok for them mean any target above 325 is not easy in fourth inning against Australia its all mean now India is out of this match badly just because of very poor batting.

Draw could only happen if something like rain halts the match for whole day or so else the result is very much evident from here. Tomorrow OZ might play for half day and declare the innings and will ask India to bat. Would be interesting to see how many wickets India mange to lose tomorrow. 3 run out in an innings that too in Test match shows lack of communication and understanding between players and this is where also they lost the ground.

What if indian team manage to bat well in the last innings and able to survive on the last day. This will make the match draw, if not win by the Indians. The big thing is how India will play in the last innings as they may have to survive for minimum three or four sessions of the match.

I had a feeling about more injuries and now Pant and Jadeja is injured. It is good for the team that Pant is injured as he will single handedly drop multiple crucial catches and it is better he sits out  but the loss of Jadeja will hurt the team and now all the players are used in the series and India cannot send anymore replacement because of the quarantine situation and this is by far the most players injured during a series as far as i remember.

I think no matter what the Australian team scores, their main goal in the last innings of the Indian team will be to survive at the crease. And draw the Test match. The match is now in Australia's favor. Australia is in a very good position. If they play the first session tomorrow and play half the time of the second session then give India a chance to bat, then maybe Australia will be able to win.

If Smith and Labuschagne can survive the morning session then I think we can see Australia getting a lead of 400+ which will put it out of reach for India and give the Australia bowlers 4 seesions to try and bowl India out. A lot depends on Smith and Labuschagne because the Australian middle order have been poor in this series so far and have not scored many runs. If India are able to get both these guys out in the morning session then I can't see Australia getting a lead much over 300 runs so India will be hoping for early wickets today.

Pant might come out to bat but not sure about Jadeja as he injured his thumb and he is out of the series.

Once again, it was Marnus Labuschagne/Steven Smith show for Australia. The other batsmen are hardly contributing anything (apart from Will Pucovski in the first innings and Cameron Green in the second). If the other batsmen are not scoring runs, then I believe that it will be better if they go with a 5-member or 6-member bowling attack. Bowlers such as Michael Neser and James Pattinson will be able to score at least 10-15 runs each per innings (which is more than what batsmen such as Matthew Wade has managed to score).

Jadeja is also injured so probably we may not see him in the second innings I guess so OZ will literally win this match if they take 7 or 8 wickets maximum. Every time Indian batsmen looked set, No 1 bowler Pat Cummins comes in and said hi to them... Every single time, that's why he's no 1 test bowler. I felt that Rohit could have used his head this time and could have played the grounded shot but that was juicy ball.

Well said. Rohit is a great replacement on top. He isn't getting out in single digits like Shaw which leads to less pressure on the remaining batsmen. It's up to Rahane and Pujara now to stabilize the innings.

They resemble Marnus and Smith somewhat. If these two form a great partnership, India will have a much better chance of drawing or winning this one.

However, if Jadeja isn't available to play as mersal pointed out above, chances of India winning this one are minimal in my opinion.
