I admit that England has been facing a lot of bad luck these days like rain interference when they are in winning positions etc due to which their chances of ending up in the top 3 of the WTC drastically decrease with time.

Don't know what Pakistan team is looking for but we as an audience wanted to see the match in action regardless of who win or who lose. The series is played after a long delay due to covid but it is spoiled by the weather.

This is not right. Why teams should split the points in case of rain interruption? Ideally the team that will win the series should get the maximum points. Else rain interruption may prove beneficial for the weaker teams and very much disadvantageous for the stronger teams. It may also give an incentive to the weaker teams, to stage test matches during the rainy season.

Just for your information, the weaker teams has no control over the ICC to stage the test matches in rainy season. Its the ICC who make the matches schedule and England is the part of the big 3 teams which make the decisions.

Pakistan will never go with any suggestion like this forfeit an inning is just like commiting suicide for them right now they are happy with this position as they was surely going to lost this match by big margin now settling for draw is very big favour for them by this rain so now they can do some better in third and final test but I am not hopeful because they are not good enough for this series after losing first test very narrowly.

The match could still go either way as Pakistan have the runs on the board and the question is does England want to win the match or play for the draw? The match could still go either way as Pakistan have the runs on the board and the question is does England want to win the match or play for the draw? We will find out once they bat to see if they play aggressively or play safe.

The chances of this match ending up in a draw is very high due to the weather. If by chance the match does proceed then the chance of England winning the 2nd test is pretty high.

England have good players but this is the second match in the series and the rain interruption is killing the fun, Pakistan scored 236 runs and they picked the first English wicket without a run scored and if they can pick up wickets like this in cold conditions then it will be interesting even though we might not see a result in this match.

It is raining and the umpires have taken the decision to suspend play. Also bad light seems to be an issue at Southampton. I am not sure whether play will be possible for the remainder of the day. England batsmen looked very vulnerable against the swing and seam of Shaheen Shah Afridi and Mohammad Abbas. It is going to be tough for them.
